The shop is an old house that has been repurposed into a fantastic space that exudes positive energy. I visited recently and was looking for something special for my best friend, who is a collector of stones and gems. I am not well-versed in stones, but I knew I wanted something that would signify our friendship/sisterhood. A lovely staff member jumped into action and curated a sampling of options for me to choose from. I was so grateful for their efforts to help me find just the right gift, and I fell in love with one of them-a watermelon tourmaline. They offered gift wrap options and made sure it was ready for my friend to love. While I was there, I interacted with a couple different staff members and they were so welcoming and helpful. I would love to spend hours in here, even just taking in all the good vibes and energy. I'll certainly be back when I need a power boost.

It might come as a surprise that a store like this produces a very solid cup of coffee. Tucked away in the back behind the register is a setup that yields a delicious brew by someone who clearly has lots of experience dialing in the coffee. I did not spend much time in the area but was very happy to have stopped by and talk with the owner and experience a delicious latte. She also deserves extra praise for letting me SAMPLE the coffee before taking it away! I've never had this kind of service from a coffee shop. While I was told a marvelous Americano can be had here, I opted for my usual latte and was not disappointed. I highly recommend getting your fix of java here if you're in the area.

They're friendly, warm, welcoming and share infectious passion for their business and educating people about the rocks they sell. What I love most about From The Ground Up is that their store encourages you to take your time and be present. It's so much fun and very relaxing to browse through their collection and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Yesterday, my wife and I were in the area looking for some local goodies as Christmas presents and made our way into Hip & Humble. The outside is very inviting-I love the color of the house-turned-retail building. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Mabe, the beautiful resident dog. She happily sniffed us, let us pet her and then she went back to her duties of wandering the store. Any place that has a dog is A-OK in my book! Each item in the shop appears to have been carefully curated to be here. Nothing seems out of place or odd. I love every item and how cohesive everything feels. Up front, you'll find an assortment of knick-knacks, home goods, soaps & lotions, etc. Toward the back is a room full of unique women's clothing and accessories. The owner visited with us briefly and we felt very welcome to be there. It's a fun atmosphere with adorable items. I look forward to returning for additional gift items in the future.
