I placed an order online today to be delivered to my girlfriend on Valentine's Day at her work. About a half hour later I got a text from my girlfriend about a voice mail from Jamie with blooms that there was an issue with my debit card and they needed a different payment method to complete the order. My girlfriend's phone number was listed for the delivery information, my phone number was listed under the billing/order information. So basically Jamie ruined the surprise. My debit card was not declined, from what my bank told me it actually went through the first time but was then flagged for fraud after they tried to run my card 3 more times. I called Blooms to explain the situation and Jamie picked up sounding like she had just smoked a bowl and tried to tell me that only my girlfriend's phone number was the only phone number on the order. I pulled up my confirmation email that clearly showed her phone number as the recipient and mine as the sender. She had nothing to say other than "ohhh man....guess I ruined everything". Due to her messing up and offering no solution to the problem that she created I told her to cancel the order and I would be taking my business somewhere else. read more

They did the flowers for my wedding--quality of the flowers was good, they were pretty, and they did it for us somewhat last minute, but I did not enjoy my experience working with Gail. I found her a bit pushy and not totally honest about what she delivered. We paid $22 each for a couple of orchid stems in a small vase. I should have gotten something just as nice at Whole Foods for much less. She promised purple as we were shown at the shop. When they arrived, they were pink. She said, that's what they got that week...My bouquet was $125--it was pretty, but not $125 pretty. She promised calla lilies for the boutonnieres but they were small white roses instead. The fact that they had done my in-laws wedding and have been around for a long time, it was disappointing they didn't make a better effort. read more

We were really pleased with our selection of Christmas centerpiece arrangement to send to family. When the family sent us a photo of the arrangement, it was not what we ordered. We placed the order on-line and the on-line receipt even showed the one we ordered. When I called the store, they said that is not what showed up from the website order. Huh??? They did apologize. Offered to make it right. Since the family seemed happy with what they received, we decided to take a discount on the arrangement instead of replacing it. They were really responsive communicating over phone/email and the proposal for the arrangements they gave me was the lowest price I'd received, plus it seemed to be the best value in terms of the types of flowers they'd include. My GF works part time in DC and rents a house there. Found Blooms here on Yelp and have used them 3 or 4 times. The pics of their arrangements are very accurate and extraordinarily beautiful. I've never seen one delivered that had any poor looking flowers. My Gf does not like flowers so they always do a good job removing them and replacing them with other flowers. Their arrangements rashly last her a week or better. I wish their website stored my purchase info so ordering would be a little easier, but otherwise, they are just amazing. I've had a standing order for weekly flower deliveries to my mother from Blooms Reston Floral for the past six years, and every week my mother sends me a photo of her flowers. The arrangements are consistently and exceptionally gorgeous, surpassing work that I've seen in any other city. I regularly order flowers in New York and Los Angeles, and so far no other flower shop can compare with Reston Floral. Their florists are true artists--they really care about the quality of their bouquets and about their customers. My mother, who is now a housebound invalid, used to be a photographer, and the beautiful flower arrangements she gets from Blooms Reston Floral are the highlight of her week. She refrigerates them overnight to make them last longer and makes new arrangements out of the longer-lasting flowers (she has a few pretty dried arrangements she's made that have lasted for years). Ordered a $50 bouquet for a collegue. I must say, it is the most beautiful and creative arrangement I have seen in a long time. The full arrangement of unusual colors, types of flowers (including roses) and plant material was definitely unique and not your normal "FTD" arrangement. Bravo to the designer. My boyfriend ordered flowers, 1 pound of chocolates and a medium size teddy bear from out of state. Flowers came on Christmas eve however they denied the order of the other two items and that they only do "floral arrangements" I didn't realize he ordered the two other items until after Christmas because he noticed that I didn't mention about them. Had to make a few phone calls and blooms today, the website he ordered from. Had to resubmit the order and the rep told me Blooms Reston just didn't want to admit the fault. Delivery man comes day after Christmas again and I find out he delivers an 8 piece godiva chocolates and a small sized bear. What happened to the 1 pound of chocolates and a medium size bear? I was just too annoyed to deal with them again. So that is why I'm writing this review. They will cheat you out of your loved ones money when they think you don't know what you're getting. I'm sure it's different when you are actually in person purchasing, however they will cheat you behind your back. What a bad experience I must say. read more
