Rebecca and Richard Chung are the kindest, most professional, and warmest florists I've met! Rebecca met with me in person, reviewed the PowerPoint I put together for my wedding flower color palette (lol yes I know, I'm a lot), and was so responsive with my questions via text. The day of, it was hot, the arch that my husband built broke (!!), and both Richard & Rebecca worked together to help fix the arch and cover the broken parts with flowers - as well as hold the arch down with some rocks they found nearby. They went above and beyond that day to help save the day & also put together this gorgeous flower arrangement for my Malibu wedding of my DREAMS. I promise you - I'm meticulous & (painfully) interviewed/researched almost all of the flower shops in the LA area + Calabasas area.... And the prices the other places were quoting so extraordinary & the folks were not nearly as warm and kind as the Chungs!! Also before I met them, I almost gave up and began searching up how to put together my own flowers from Trader Joe's-- but I'm a resident doctor and don't have the time nor energy to do this on my own :( For full transparency-- other shops in LA were charging me the most exorbitant prices ($6-10k) for an arch set-up, 2 aisle bundles, and one floral bouquet -- Blossom Floral had the most reasonable price & were more than willing to work within my budget (~$3k) for flowers, setup, AND delivery! It's not too good to be true, all the other 5 star reviews are well deserved! I did a lot of research and vetted about 6 florists and knew the minute I started chatting with Rebecca and Richard that this was it! I loved their calm nature and expansive knowledge (I wanted a specific light shade of peach and Rebecca explained how colors can look different in person and in photos and knew the exact type of rose that could walk that fine line). My wedding was everything I wanted it to be and I can thank Blossom Floral in large part. They were able to understand and execute my vision to a tee, their work looked just like the Pinterest inspirations I showed them (if not better)! Even though I lived 400 miles away in San Francisco, after meeting them I was confident that they understood my style and I would not need to micromanage which was something I did not get from some of the other florists. This is not where you drop in to to pick up a bouquet of flowers randomly . Seems like they only have flowers as needed for advanced commissioned projects. They were able to take our thoughts and shape them into an absolutely stunning display of flowers. We are not from LA, we live in North Carolina, and that made planning the wedding logistically challenging. They independently visited the venue and asked all the right questions to ascertain our needs. We felt like we were handled with the utmost professionalism and care. For inspiration we offered some words like "wild" "natural" and "rust"and found some pictures of bouquets we liked and that was all they needed. When we told her we want lavender and pink flowers, she showed us a variety of different lavender and pink for us to choose! I had no idea there can be so many different shades of lavender and pink lol. She works with our budget. I especially like that she would give us suggestions but not forcefully. So my wedding planner recommended this place. Wow. Did my flowers hit the mark! I am a very picky flower person. I only typically like white and prefer large white orchids. I had a modern beach wedding and could not be more pleased. Rebecca helped me with 9table pieces and she helped me do it so I didn't break the bank and still totally delivered exactly what I wanted. I've passed this adorable shop many times over the years and kept telling myself I'd go in "one of these days". A few weeks ago, I was planning to bring a friend some flowers and stopped in. The florist was attentive and listed to who the bouquet was for and what it was for prior to selecting the flowers. He did a fabulous job and put together an unforgettable grouping packaged in a really modern way. During my visit, a table on the East-side of the shop was filled with lovely arrangements (again, modern in style and color choices). I was told that they were special ordered for events that evening and the next day. If modern isn't your thing, there were more classic arrangements up toward the front of the shop as well. If you have a knack for arranging, you'd get a kick out of the fact that the flowers are grouped by type and color and stored in vases throughout the shop. If you're so inclined, you could certainly direct the florist regarding the type and color you'd like and put together a fabulous impromptu bouquet for your home. Okay ... so enough about the class and variety ... trust me, it's great! The amazing part for LA was the price ... it was much more inexpensive than I've paid further East up the street. I'd HIGHLY recommend this little shop. I parked on the street on the West side of the building (metered), but I do believe that there was one spot in the back and you might snag a spot on Pico too ... if you're lucky! read more

We had our wedding at Shutters on the Beach two weeks ago. We were thinking to leave the positive review along with decoration pictures taken by our photographer (pictures tell everything), but we decide to post the review first and upload photos later so our great experience can be shared with other people who are planning their wedding now. Since I don't live nearby our wedding venue, it is difficult for us to visit local stores for consultation. Our strategy was to find existing ceremony decoration pictures from "Pinterest" and discussed with flower vendors who has good reviews on Yelp. Luckily, we found the decorations we loved from Pinterest and it was posted from Rebecca. So we continued to check out her other florist works and knew immediately that they were the vendor we wanted. All their past gorgeous already spoke well for their skills and taste. Especially when it came to the Bridal Banquet, I had no clue what elements or color or designs I wanted, but I was able to choose from one of her existing works. I was attracted to an "Orchid" bridal banquet and decide to use immediately. It was simple but pretty and elegant, stood out easily. We did have great experience working with their team. Although Rebecca was a shy and soft-spoken person, her responds were clearly and provided useful suggestions based on our budget for decoration alternatives and options. I went in during the week to talk with them about an arrangement I wanted for a weekend party. I spoke with the lady to discuss what flowers I wanted and what I didn't. After discussing flowers, we decided that I would come early at 9am to pick up the flowers since they had something to do at 10. Sunday at 9am rolls around. I'm standing outside waiting for someone to come. I call at 9.15 to see where they are. I get their machine. They also give another number. I call that number, someone answers and says they will be there in 10 minutes. They arrive at 9.30. I have to wait more since my flowers aren't ready. I had asked for dahlias, and there are no dahlias. Yes, they gave me a discount and the flowers were beautiful, but really? not ok. read more
