Every time I go hiking nearby, I enjoy stopping by for a snack and get something to go. When it is cool outside, it is nice to sit outside on the patio and enjoy your food For a small store, they do have a lot of varieties. they have tons of alcohol choices, bake meals, snacks and their sandwiches. My husband and I were very happy that this place was open early for breakfast on a Monday morning. In a small town where nothing seems to open until 10 or 11, this market was open at 7am, and by the time we arrived at 8, they were serving made to order breakfast sandwiches. I ordered a BEC on a bagel which came out to about $6. The egg and bacon were made fresh. It was the good kind of griddle bacon too! Delicious! My husband had a biscuit sandwich which was good, but not filling. Again, everything made to order, but I suggest getting a bagel if you want a bigger portion than the biscuit. Cute market in downtown Blowing Rock! They sell breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and beer, wine, some local grocery products and baked goods. The Saturday morning I visited they had a banjo music circle outside and picnic tables outside. It was wonderful! The breakfast sandwich I tried was egg and cheese on sourdough bread. It was okay, but the atmosphere was good with the music and the relaxing vibe. We parked and walked to the market on Main Street. I suggest that because street parking is hard to find. We were looking for options post a hike in town. We wrapped up the hike around 1, so our options were a bit more limited. Hubs was in a mood for a deli sandwich, so we stopped in. Both of our sandwiches were $10 each and very basic. Hubs got a turkey ruben on sourdough that looked like a lot of turkey. I got a rotisserie chicken sandwich on an onion roll, with lettuce and green peppers (out of tomatoes that day). In the end, it was a very average sandwich and a bit pricey given what we got. Where it gets a bonus star is the selection. The store itself has solid craft beer and wine offerings. There's also kombucha, including one from Charlotte, as well. read more

Love this market that's located right in the middle of Blowing Rock downtown! They kind of have everything you need except fresh produce and meats. There's a deli that serves both warm and cold breakfast and lunch sandwiches. You can grab wine and beer and all the things to make your own charcuterie board. There's always a large display of delectable desserts from Stick Boy Kitchen that I can never say no to. They also have frozen casseroles, lasagnas and other easy to heat up at home meals. This place can get real busy though on weekends when there's good weather so make sure to stop by early or go on a weekday. read more

A few breakfast offerings that were not available at lunch, which is a huge bummer. This review is for two times we got food here in the past three days. First time was a 5 star experience. We ordered deli sandwiches and they were excellent and the prices were reasonable. Excellent. The second time was today, stopped in at about 10:35am. Asked if we could order deli sandwiches. Was told that deli menu was not open until eleven. OK so we ordered bagel breakfast sandwiches which were reasonably priced at only around $5.50 each. Well, it took over 15 minutes and the young lady that took the order just stood behind the counter and never even checked why it took so long. At one minute to eleven, another fellow came in and asked about ordering a sandwich and the young lady told him he had to wait one minute, really, are you kidding me. This place is a cute market and a nice deli. First experience was a 5 star but due to today's experience have to give it a 3 star. Owner, please check on the concern for the customers. read more

This is a $10 sandwich. Old, flavorless, rough-chopped veggies, a thin layer of cheese, low quality bread, and ZERO condiments or sauce. Would have taken it back if we weren't miles down the road when I opened it. Subway does a better job than this bougie "gourmet" market. Cute little place downtown. Nice picnic tables outside and pups allowed. Love that they offer local food and non perishables. Lots of stuff at a reasonable price. We got breakfast here. I ordered egg and cream cheese but they messed up and gave me egg and cheese. Too tired and hungry to correct them. My partner got egg ham and cheese but couldn't eat the ham as it was too fatty. The manager saw him take it off and was so nice- offered to get something else or give a free coffee. Appreciated that. The baked goods and snacks looked awesome. Cool little market and deli right on Main Street in Blowing Rock. They have a deli for sandwiches and generally a couple soups. They stock a ton of craft beer and have 5-6 beers on tap. They also carry a decent selection of wine. There some general groceries - milk, eggs, etc along with various locally made breads and sweets. They also have a Lady Fingers freezer with 'take and bake' items which is great. They have gone back and forth on gas and on this last visit they had one pump but no gas on either side. They have limited seating inside and out. BLK spot! read more

Such an easy grab and go kind of store chock full of your favorite craft beer, nom noms and kitchy mountain type stuff (think RC Cola - Moonpie). On top of all the great selection you also get a side of pleasant staff and if the weather is good you can sit out front and watch the people and cars go by about their own busy way. We stopped in late one night while on our girls vacation looking for a wine opener. The owner was working the register, he was extremely sweet, funny and treated everyone that walked in like family. You know, my husband told me on this last trip that Blowing Rock was the "upscale, fancy" town of the Boone area. I argued with him, both being NC natives, that Blowing Rock was no such thing but a little laid back, slightly artsy, touristy mountain town. Well, after finding a CRAFT BEER AND WINE SHOP/Gourmet market inside a GAS STATION, I might have to concede to him on this one. I mean, this is not going to have pate or even a really fancy cheese selection as you would expect from a "gourmet" market. But it does have a large selection of Ashe County cheeses, a Boar's Head deli counter, some fancy snacks, some local pork (like a locally made proscuitto that we brought home), and some great beers on tap. It seems odd to stop and have a beer at a gas station, but Blowing Rock is also very walkable, and this is a perfect spot to grab a sandwich and a beer, and then also fill up on gas and grab a couple of things for later. read more
