This Trader Joe's is well stocked with the staff replenishing and organizing all day long. Staff are very helpful and friendly in case you can't find that item you normally get at your local TJ's. The produce is fresh as well as the perishable items. The wine section seemed larger than other TJ's but that could be because they don't have a hard spirits section as that is controlled by NC ABC.

While this TJ seems to be one of the busier locations I've frequented across the East Coast, the workers here are immaculate! I always see them going out of their way to help one another, and their customers. I always enjoy talking to the people at the checkout line. Great produce, clean facilities, and working to keep things stocked. As someone new to this location, something I noticed that is atypical to other experiences I've had, is that there seems to be no consistent "down" or "quieter" time. Usually the weekdays during 9-5 at most TJ's are more quiet, but that doesn't seem true to the Asheville location. This has nothing to do with my rating, but wanted to note for those who are visiting or new to the area or have young children or require quieter environments, and are trying to plan around that.

Like other locations, this Trader Joe's grocery store is five stars to me. The store was clean and well-organized. Staff was friendly. Products are high-quality and many of them are only sold here, you cannot find anywhere else. I usually visit their frozen food section to pick up some good meals for my quick lunch or dinner.

Love Trader Joe's and this location is wonderful. Plenty of great food, GF and non-GMO, along with other great fresh veggies, TJ branded cereal, yogurt, wine, beer and more. What I love about this location near Asheville, NC is that the crew runs the store perfectly and upholds the Trader Joe's brand. Love the friendly crew!

No biggie. With that I got a tuna sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers and salt and pepper. Delicious and the sandwich was HUGE. MUCH better than Subway. I have to point out; when I get a sandwich I usually get green peppers but they had mixed colors for their peppers. I made a comment of how I only get the green ones but that the mixed is fine; the guy grabs a handful and this sweet man picks out just the green peppers for my sandwich. He didn't have to do that and I was so very thankful. Huge plus for just that. Shows he actually cares and I love that! Wish I got his name. But sir, if you see this, THANK YOU!! You made my day with that small gesture. I walked around the store and stumbled upon the Snyders pretzel pieces and they were on sale 2/$5. I hadn't had those in forever so of course I bought two bags. The sour cream and caramelized onion flavor.....SO GOOD!!!!!! Will 100% go back if I'm ever in the area. I need to try more subs!

After a fabulous afternoon birthday tea with friends, I popped into Publix Waynesville. The lines were long, so I opted for self-checkout. Packing bags , I was admittedly slow and deliberate as I am not good at "bagging". I also looked to note that items were being rung up properly (ex. BOGO) so it probably took me about 5 minutes to ring up a full trolley of goods and pack them. As I was placing the receipt into my purse and preparing to vacate the spot, an employee came up and loudly announced that she "did not see me ring up my paper towels" and demanded the receipt. This is something that she HAS THE TECHNOLOGY to check without uttering a word to me. It was an obvious attempt at public humiliation (why?). Several people put their head on a swivel to see the drama of someone loudly being accused of shoplifting paper towels. I wanted to crawl under the register and die, but I could only manage to hand her the receipt and put my head down. After the employee saw her obvious mistake, she only said "okay, thank you" and handed me the receipt back. I asked the monitor standing nearby "why" she did that, to which she gave no reasonable explanation. I barely made it to my vehicle before I broke out in tears and phoned my husband, who instructed me to return all the groceries immediately. I will give credit where credit is due and say that both CSR Savannah and the store manager on duty were very sympathetic and understood how, in this very small town, this would be utterly humiliating. They apologised profusely and the manager even offered to walk me and my groceries (that I didn't return) back to my vehicle. Regardless, the embarrassement of being falsely accused in such a way as to shame me publicly - when I did absolutely nothing wrong, has forever ruined shopping at the Waynesville Publix. Thankfully, I still have all the Sarasota Publix locations.

No problem at all, so we came back the next morning around 10:15am. We stood at the deli counter while an employee sliced meats (no one was standing at the counter), completed two items, went to get a third, and eventually walked away. During the entire time we stood there, no one acknowledged us, said hello, or even let us know it would be a few minutes. My husband finally asked if anyone could help, and the employee told him no because he had to finish the current order. What was most disappointing was that there were four or five other employees working in the deli area, and not a single person took a moment to acknowledge us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. We would have been perfectly happy to wait had someone simply communicated with us. We are not from Asheville and do not shop at Ingles regularly, so unfortunately this was our first impression. The issue wasn't that the staff was busy, it was the complete lack of customer service and basic courtesy. A simple "Hi, we'll be with you in just a few minutes" would have made all the difference.
