Out-of-the-blue yesterday, I suddenly realized, "Ack! My hair got long!" And not good-long; more like old-lady-milling-around-the-library long. I called Blownaway this morning at 10am sharp and was lucky to get Amy Pinkelton for a cut + highlights at 11! Rhonda Clelland is an Absolute ROCK STAR at what she does!! I told her I wanted a Bob, but one that I could still curl and keep fun and playful... As usual she BLEW ME AWAY with the final product! The highlights she did make my skin tone look a little darker so I'm not nearly as washed out as I was before, and the cut is BEYOND perfect! The "do" in these pictures isn't even hers, this is what I was able to do with it 5 days later Bc it's EXACTLY what I was wanting!! Now I can't wait to go back for a spray tan and pedicure! Firstly, I must say that Jennifer Green Grainger is an absolute sweetie. While she is a very nice lady, the service result was terrible. I paid over $500 for a keratin treatment that last 4 days. The very first time I washed it (with the expensive shampoo they sold me), it got frizzy again. I have had these treatments before and they've lasted 6 months or longer. I will not go back again as the room was TINY and had two stylist working at the same time. The place was no larger than 8 ft by maybe 12 feet and there were 5 unmasked people crowded into the room. Add to that, there was NO ventilation. My eyes burned for the next 24 hours. Horribly painful. The entire experience was torture. Like I say, I've had this treatment before elsewhere and it was pleasant. This place is a health hazard. read more

Our stylist did a good job. State requires masks. We don't support the masks but needed haircuts. 1.15 minutes for getting our haircuts, I ask if my boyfriend can get his beard done. "No, because mask guidelines" okay. Cool. We walk out after our services and there at least 10 people not wearing masks. Stylists, clients were not following this rule. Now, I'm pretty upset. I had to wear a mask for an hour and 15 minutes and I walk out and see no one else wearing them? I call and ask and was told "we do have some violators here but it is state requirement" SO, I told them to walk down the hall and see all the violators. If I have to wear a mask, EVERYONE else does too. Then I find out he could've had his beard done? Will not be returning to this salon. Decent haircuts, would've had another service done but I guess they pick and choose who gets the what done and who has to wear a mask. NOT IMPRESSED. read more

I went to Amy today to chop my super long hair into a bob and she did a wonderful job!She listened to what I wanted (long enough for a pony tail but as short as possible) and trimmed it in stages until we got to just the right length. This review is not so much for Blownaway Salon but for my particular stylist within the salon. Andrea Hale is amazing. She always does a great job with my cut and color. And since I have purple in my hair....that is a good thing! My purple lasts me 5 weeks or so when she does it! And when it does fade out, it always fades out so well. She works with my crazy travel and work schedule too! I would highly recommend her for your next do! She does cuts, colors, permanents, relaxers, manicures, pedicures, waxing...... I don't think there is much she can't do! And she has the years of experience to back her as well :) Go visit her. You won't be disappointed. read more

Heather works on 3 to 5 clients at a time not seeming to really pay attention to what i was showing her as far as photos of color i wanted, vibe cut etc...Her temperment is rushed a bit cold and honesty she is not a caring hairstylist. I am Blonde in need of full highlights. Brighter the better i said Nordic blonde.. I showed her photos that were very clear what I wanted. My hair was long mid back and I was very specific about no more than 1/2 inch trim . After being shuffeled around to accomidate her other 5 clients my hair was finally rinsed and I was excited to see the results . I knew right away it wasnt blonde even wet it was grey brown and then she started chopping off my hair saying this cut was way better for me. I started to cry and she told me I was embarrassing her. She at that point became agressive. I didnt want her to do anymore, I just wanted to leave. I was so sad what she had done to my hair and there was zero compassion to try to remedy the situation. I told her i was not happy to pay full price and she said you have to pay, i gave you my time and i said but you destroyed my hair. She threatened to call the police as she said that i was refusing to let her fix it. At this point my Mom who was there to pick me up just handed her a credit card to try and de escalate Heather and she proceeded to charge my Moms card $250 for the worst experience at a hair salon in my life. The only positive was Cory who was kind and gave me the best shampoo and another stylist who saw what had happened and was so kind. TY is the BEST NAIL TECH EVER!!!! I've been searching for a good nail tech who does great work, is fun to talk to, honest, time conscious but not hurried, reasonably priced and able to make standing appointments and TY is the one!!!! Being a former cosmetologist, I know a bit more than most people off the street when it comes to nails, so I do my own personal secret critique on their technique. Save your money. I was in town for Valentine's Day and forgot my blow dryer. What woman wouldn't enjoy a little pampering so my guy dropped me off at Blown Away Beauty Bar. The customer service was less than desirable but the actual service was terrible. The young woman who did my blow out (1) asked if I had layers in my hair (anyone can see that I do) and (2) asked me to separate my bangs because "she has never had bangs and she doesn't understand them." I had originally planned to also get lashes and a wax but after the poor service, I decided against it. The end result? I ended up going to Target to purchase a blow dryer so I could do my own hair. Incredible! I found Kelli on Instagram and IMMEDIATELY made an appointment! We did a full balayage and a trim and she is seriously a hair magician. I've had so many issues going lighter at other places because my hair pulls orange. I left with the most beautiful blonde and am going back next month to go lighter! I went to work the day she colored my hair and had 3 separate strangers ask where I got my hair done. She's that good, people! She 100% understood what I wanted and was sensitive to my haircut anxiety, which I love. The salon is beautiful and everyone was extremely nice! I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted which was an ombré from black to ash blonde. She said she could do it. Next thing you know she's rushing through my hair, I look in the mirror and she just dyed my whole head an awful blonde color. I went in to get it fixed only for her to half ass it once again. I asked her why wasn't she dying underneath my hair because clearly it was not touched and she said "do you even wear your hair up" why does it matter if I do or not?? Point is you should've dyed everything. She did not care about the condition of my hair whatsoever. I was left with what I wanted only to find out that my whole head was stringy and damaged to the root. Next time don't say you can do my requests when you really can't just to get money. Great place for a pedicure. I received a pedicure & Gel nail manicure on Mother's Day for an upcoming wedding. I booked with Ty. He is amazing. He offered me a glass of wine & even offered to clean my jewelry while he was doing my manicure. I accepted on both counts. Very peaceful & relaxing setting. I love the idea of being able to go get my nails &/or feet done, and being in a private room without distractions. I got the high-end pedicure. There are three levels & they range from $25 to $50. My review is more about the customer service as a whole. The stylist did a good job with the cut. However, I used their online scheduling tool and what a mess!!! They changed my appointment three times after I scheduled it through their scheduler so that by the time I arrived, I was getting emails and texts with contradictory show-up times. I went by the time in the scheduler and turns out I was wrong. They made me wait 30 minutes and acted a little put out that I'd shown up "30 minutes early." That was the exact point when I knew I wouldn't return again. I got my hair cut and moved on with my life. Six weeks later I get a reminder about my "next appointment." I'd never set one. I logged into the scheduler and, sure enough, there was an appointment with no way to change it. I emailed and asked them to cancel it and they said they would. Nope. Up to the day of the appointment, I was still getting reminders. I went on with my life again and guess what happened six weeks later? Yep, another appointment had been set for me. I emailed to ask them to fix it and they told me that the stylist had set me up for a recurring appointment and they'd fix it. They didn't seem to understand that setting someone up for a recurring appointment was NOT OKAY and just said they'd make sure I didn't get the emails anymore. And that is my problem with them. No true acknowledgment that it is indeed wrong to automatically schedule someone to come in for a haircut every six weeks without her permission. It appears that if you use the scheduler to make an appointment at this location, you're automatically consenting to return every six weeks for the rest of time. If you try to go in and change the appointment, it won't let you because it was made by someone else, so you can't even cancel or move it without making a phone call. That kind of defeats the "convenience" of an online scheduler. I hate to resort to a Yelp review but my emails didn't seem to be accomplishing the goal of making them acknowledge that this was inappropriate behavior. So if you choose to get your hair cut there, I would recommend using the phone instead of their "convenient" online scheduler. I've never used an automatic scheduler for a salon, so maybe this is how it always is? They lost my business over it and if they're automatically scheduling recurring appointments for people without their permission, I can't imagine how many no shows they have. Scheduling new customers for recurring appointments without permission is just aggressive and obnoxious. read more

Wow! Blown away by Blownaway Beauty Bar & Salon Suites. I traveled 2000 miles from Las Vegas to get my keratin bonded hair extensions done by Rhonda. (10stars) My hair looks amazing, you can't even tell they are in there, matches my hair perfectly. Well worth the trip. Rhonda is the best in the U. S. (literally). I've never been happier with my hair. I'm very impressed with the whole establishment. I've never seen anything like it. Very cool place. My friend was able to get a pedicure and eyelash extensions while waiting for me. She looks amazing too. I wish I could spend another day there, even two. If your looking for ANYTHING beauty related, from a basic blowout to a new tattoo, look no further. They even have a barbershop. There's not enough room here to list all of the services they offer, you just have to check out the website yourself, I highly recommend it. This place rocks. Friendly staff. Great vibe. Recently heard about the new barbershop that opened here and gave it a try. I am very glad I did. Got an excellent hair cut and the barber was extremely nice. Was cool to sit in what looked to be and I'm pretty sure was barber chairs from the 1960's. I will for sure be going back as a repeat customer. read more
