This place seemed kinda cute so we stopped by to check it out. It was pretty empty inside but the employees were clearly stressed out about something. When my wife asked for assistance, the elderly employee just walked past her. I was able to get help from the younger girl leaning against the counter but to be honest, it seemed like neither of them wanted to be there or help us so we just fended for ourselves. There was a big stage to one side, but nothing happening there so the kids just sat there and waiting for us adults to finishing perusing. There are lots of alcohol and coffee options but nothing stood out as a must have so we ended up not getting anything. We were pretty hungry, but there were no food options except vending machine type food, so we were out of luck. Be sure to grab a seat inside and enjoy the nursing home quality heat levels. I stopped in while heading down to OBX, in search of a decent latte or frappe, and was blown away by how much more this place offers. Not only did I get a delicious Java chip frappe, but there was also live music playing, great vibes, and a surprisingly wide selection of goodies for sale. It's a cozy, small-town spot that packs everything a tourist could want. The woman running the show was doing it all, from expertly pouring drafts to crafting my frappe with care & she did it with a smile. Such a delight coffee shops find along our (long) drive back to Milwaukee! Lots of space, beautiful lighting, clean, and a friendly staff member. It seemed to be a combination tap room, coffee shop, fudge and other pastries shop, and a good selection of wine and some beers. I enjoy the atmosphere and the hint feel of the place. They have a stag near the entrance so I'm guessing they have live movies. Lots of seating: bar seating, tables service, and some outdoor space it look like from a quick glance. And the coffee was delicious as well! Give it a go for coffee, beer, and/or wine. The fudge was also amazing!! read more

Just stopped in to check it out. We had a beer and the selection was decent. There was no food just prepackaged snacks. If you want coffee it smelled amazing. Will stop again during summer months to see the difference from off season! read more

Coffee Shop 405 Blue 42's Brewing Barn Tap House & Coffee Moyok, NC September 3, 2024 Twenty miles down the road from Pale Horse Coffee we passed Blue 42's. We weren't planning to stop, but I saw "coffee" on the sign and excitedly said, "You should stop the car Chachi I see coffee". Then my oldest said, "And there's shaved ice." My sweet hubby turned the car around. Blue 42's is next door to a farmer's market with delicious looking dessert items, fruits, vegetables, snacks and drinks. My kiddos enjoyed the stop. I felt like living on the wild side so I ordered a drink I don't normally have; a blended ice coffee. Honestly, I think it's more of a dessert. The mocha chip was quite the treat and since I was living on the wild side I said yesterday to the whip cream. read more

Y'all! We live nearby and have been meaning to drop in. What a cute place! Very friendly service and eclectic offerings. From coffee, lattes, cappuccino, pastries, etc., to delicious hot breakfast items (in a hot box, not prepared onsite), and desserts..to craft beers on tap or for takeout. Great variety of Coffee syrup flavors! They have retained but modernized the former General Store feel, and really done it up nice and chic-like in a welcoming and open concept. We went in the late morning had a few of the Belcross breakfast biscuit sammies - OMG, the BEST biscuit I've probably ever had. Also tried Memaw's Apple Cake. I am a cake connoisseur, and this was absolute perfection! A friend also bought a sampling of fudge a few days ago, which I was also able to try. I'm generally not a huge fudge fan and am usually disappointed, but the Jelly Donut is to die for! Pro tip: Aligned with the adjacent Powell's Farm Market, they share the OUTdoor portable toilets. Just opened! Right next to Powell's Market. Lots of parking area. Down side is they do not have a bathroom. So don't drink too much if you don't like porta potty's lol. The porta potty is located way in the back of the parking lot too. But they have fudge, belcross biscuit and other desserts. You can buy a 6-pack of local beers to go if you don't like being around people. Bottle wines are available too if you're not into hops. Not into beers.... Don't worry just stop by and grab a cup of Joe! Lots of tables inside and out. No umbrella for the tables outside though. read more

My carmel macchiato and cupcake were great. The service was also great. The only issue i had was when I ask where the men's restroom was. I was told I had to go outside and around the corner to a porta potty ?? This is a fairly new modern building. There is a ladies restroom inside why is there not a men's restroom inside ?? It makes no sense and I really am interested in an answer to this question. read more

I hate to leave a bad review on a local coffee shop, but I only want to try and help the business for the future. My friend and I are coffee lovers and have barista experience, but we were very disappointed in the lattes. I got the brown sugar cinnamon latte and she got the signature s'more latte. Both drinks lacked coffee flavor and tasted either like milk and syrup or straight chocolate. I'm not sure if the espresso machine is broken or if it's just not pulling good shots, but it might need to be looked at. The shop was super cute and all of the workers were very kind, we were just very dissatisfied with our coffees. I hope Blue 42 can use this to work on the coffees so they will have more returning customers. read more

We loved this stop on the way home from the Outerbanks! The staff was very friendly. We loved the selection of beer/cider and there was a coffee shop and fudge shop that was also delicious! The ambiance is very familiar friendly and wholesome. We will definitely return! read more

Visited on recommendation from social media. It was a wonderful visit. Took my book with me and after ordering an iced coffee and cheese and crackers, I sat and enjoyed and read my book. The employee, Rand, was a delight! It made my visit even nicer. Definitely going to return there often. Highly recommend Blue 42. read more
