Want to see the city skyline? Come here and go to the top floor and take in the views! Great spot whether it's cold and you enjoy a hot beverage or hot and enjoy a cold beer/cider. The pastel de nata tart is the closest thing to the Portuguese egg tarts in Amsterdam. Delicious flakiness. 5/5 Great service and usually you can sit where you want. Restroom is above the restaurant, worth a visit for the views.
Great afternoon views of the city with plenty of seating. Staff were accommodating of our large group. Food is decent but portions are on the smaller end.

The view is great here! From the shopping mall ground level take the elevator all the way to the top. We got a weekday morning reservation at the lounge chairs section. I was worried it would be hard to eat our food, but it turns out to be just fine and comfortable. I got the blueberry pancakes and hubby and got the eggplant parmigiana. It's a nice way to unwind and enjoy the view with some delicious brunch. One of our meals we upgraded to the breakfast option so that it comes with a hot drink, juice, and a croissant. The portion was good and we were stuffed afterwards. We enjoyed our meal and also the great view here.
This spot is great to visit for brunch! It has impeccable views of the city and their menu is nice. I ordered the egg and avocado toast with fresh orange juice and have no complaints. It's a small "quaint" place if you will, so I HIGHLY recommend booking your reservation is advance so you're guaranteed a table but they do (from what I saw) allow walk ins and you wait for a table to be ready.
We stopped here for drinks and was suggested by a friend who lives in the city. It's set over two levels on the 3rd floor of a shopping centre close to the flower market. It has floor to ceiling glass with views across the city. Staff are nice and service is friendly. It was quite busy so we had to wait to get a seat. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. All in all an ok place and I would come here for a drink and perhaps even try the food. One of the places in the city with a nice view.

This is an awesome place to get nice skyline views of Amsterdam without waiting in line and paying a lot for an expensive meal. On each side of their glass walls, they show a rough map of all the major attractions that Amsterdam has to offer. A nice touch. I ordered the beef croquettes and they're the creamiest that I've ever had! The flavor is also so satisfying. The ambience is chill and the food is good so I'd come back here for sure.
I certainly did not feel blue after visiting this great spot in the middle of Amsterdam. This most recent time I made it a point to go see a view of the city from above and Blue provided the best experience for that opportunity. Amsterdam certainly isn't a city of high rises but it's still nice to be able to see the lovely architecture from above. Situated on the top floor of what appears to be a mall, Blue offers up standard drinks and Dutch fair with a chance to see the city in 360 from its large windows. When you arrive, it's open seating so find a spot and wait for the server to come with menus. My friend and I both ordered their homemade ginger ales and lemonade, both for €3,50 each. While these drinks weren't spiked necessarily, they were absolutely refreshing. We also for their bitterballen (€6,50) to split and these deep-fried croquettes danced in our mouths. They're definitely some of the best I've had in the city. It was cool to see the different kinds of people up here. You had couples on dates, friends chit chatting, and even folks working off their laptops. Whether you're dropping by for dinner or simply enjoying a quick drink with a sunset view, Blue is a must and I'd definitely recommend any local or visitor check this spot out.
Came up to the spot based on an outdated itinerary. Found the elevator easily enough and enjoyed the views but the food was not good. My open sandwich was so oily I couldn't taste anything else. My server was friendly and attentive, but I still can't recommend having a meal here. See the view and find another cafe for lunch.
The food is alright. You really come here for the viewpoint. You've got to find the elevator that takes you to the restaurant.

This experience deserves more than five stars. I cannot express how fabulous lunch was. The service was so sweet and helpful; we were invited to stay and enjoy our lunch, the amazing view, and the company of friends. I ordered the Blue Amsterdam lunch because I wanted to try everything. The tomato soup was warming and delicious. The smoked salmon sandwich was fresh and topped with arugula and tomato. Two drinks of your choice were included: a "with lunch" drink and an after-lunch drink which was served with a biscuit (cookie). Blue Amsterdam also serves dinner, and I can't imagine that it is any less spectacular, plus with the added view of looking over the lights of the city. Simply wonderful. read more

A local recommended my friends and I check out Blue for its view, but the food wasn't too bad either. The space is decorated really nicely; very trendy and clean. The view lives up to its name and I can imagine it's even better on a sunny, clear day in Amsterdam (on the day I visited it was a little more on the gloomy side). We had the fries, nachos, and tots. All were pretty good, but nothing special. It can get pretty busy, probably because all the tourists try to visit. read more
8/23/19 Visiting Amsterdam and this restaurant was highly recommended. We went for a late lunch, the view was already amazing in the lower restaurant level and the views are even better at the next level, which was unused empty table area of the restaurant. Seating (4/5): During lunch it was very crowded, we sort of waited a few minutes and asked if we could combine two tables since we had a group of 5. There is not a lot of seating options and it can get very crowded really fast. Wait Staff (5/5): Our waitress was awesome, it was our first meal in Amsterdam, she was super patient and explaining everything to us. Drinks (5/5): Drinks were really good, I ordered beer and few from my group had lemonade and water. Food (4/5): The menu was very limited and small, but I ordered the falafel burger which came with a salad and fries. Salad was just a bunch of leaves with tomatoes, I was not a huge fan of it. The burger was huge, and its hard to eat unless its sliced, the bread is a lot more crunchier than a regular burger. Check (5/5): For a group of five with an order of table fries, entrees, and drinks was around 78 Euros. But this place was just worth it for the views we got all around the restaurant in multiple levels. read more
This cute restaurant is tucked into a shopping mall so I was a little skeptical. But the place is beautiful and has wonderful views of the city. Everything we ordered was delicious. I got the scrambled eggs with salmon. And my friend got the Dutch cheese sandwich. We also shared some frites. Every bite was delicious. It would be lovely to come back for a sunset view. read more

Stopped for a drink, so I cant comment on the food. The views are great and the atmosphere is very cssual. The seating is first come first serve, but we went about an 2 hours before close and were able to sit right away. People seemed to move pretty quickly. Prices were fair for the area. read more
There aren't terribly many places in Amsterdam that offer a view of the inner city, which is why this is one of my favourite finds. A double-level glass box, Blue offers views in all directions, and it's the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Better yet, even though its on Kalverstraat, most tourists walk by without even knowing it exists. It's still pretty busy most of the time, but its a small price to pay for the spectacular view. I've only ever had snacky food here (cake, frites, etc) but was impressed every time, and the prices are very reasonable! Mostly, here's what you need to know: 1. 360 degree view 2. Wine 3. Slanted elevator 4. Decent prices 5. Great for sunset 6. City centre 7. Wine And did I mention the wine? read more

Very pretty setting. Had good coffee. Before it got busy, the staff did a nice job attending to customers quickly. However, once it filled up it took forever to get glass of water. They probably can use more staff. I had the eggs with smoked salmon. Easily the worse eggs I have had in a long time. They were cold and tasteless, but not cheap. Go for the views and a coffee. read more
Amazing view! Check out the second floor! Found this recommendation from the Foders book. What a great find! We found a day that was sunny and popped up for a cup of tea and a snack! The views were amazing! The staff is friendly enough. They allow you to enjoy your time, no rush to turn the tables! We brought our expat friends up here, they never even knew this little place existed! It seems to be the highest point in amsterdam - you can see quite far! Take a peek, have a beverage or a snack and enjoy it! read more

Of course this place has an amazing view...that's probably why you'll go. But the service is also pretty good. We only had some hot drinks to get out of the chilly rain, but it seems like a nice place to chill and get hot drinks, after work drinks, lunch or dinner. If for no other reason, check this place out so that you can take in a very different view of the city than you've had before! Oh, and they have free wifi. Just ask for the password! read more

I'm hesitant to write a review because I'm afraid that I won't be able to get a table next time I go if this place gets even more popular! To be fair, this restaurant is definitely a must go in Amsterdam! Breathtaking view and great hearty brunch/breakfast, visiting this place makes the whole travel from London worth while already. We had coffee, Mixed green salad, Tomato and red pepper sour, and fries. Everything is delicious! Given the high rise/prime location, the price is surprisingly fair! if you plan to travel to Amsterdam, you got to visit this place. You won't regret it! read more

This restaurant has an incredible view. The food is delicious: We had the scrambled eggs and salmon with toast and the oats/yogurt dish both were absolutely delicious! The restaurant entrance is located inside the shopping center so you will miss it if you are only looking at the street address. Take the elevator because it is way to high to take the stairs. The view in this restaurant/ cafe is amazing. Worth to go and to see it. But I didn't very much like the food. I have some eggs with salmon on a peace of bread and some salad on the side, but the whole meal was missing on some spices. The coffee was a size of a espresso. And it's was kinda to expensive. read more
Make sure you check this place out around sunset for a beautiful view of the city! Prices are comparable to surrounding restaurants. I had the sardines which were simple straight from the container but still yummy. The view made the walk over so totally worth it! Try to get there with plenty of time so you can get a seat by the window! read more
Not much selection on the menu but worth it to come just to see the view of all of Amsterdam. I got the burger and it was good but not wow good. This place was recommended by the lady who owned the hotel I was staying at as far as a must try place. Glad I came here. Hard to find because there are no signs. It's in a mall that doesn't really have a sign that it's a mall either haha it's across the flower row. Flower row also has some good stores to buy souvenirs from too. read more

The food is good and the deserts are very yummy. Their coffee are very well prepared . The wait staff are very pleasant and even if you don't think they are aware of you , they are .It's a nice place to see the city above people's roofs tops and enjoy a great cup of coffee or hot chocolate. read more
