Blue Bird is a small but cute Honduran restaurant. I would recommend Blue Bird if you are looking for some delicious Latin food with great customer service! We ordered the pollo con tojadas and pescado frito (choice of tilapia or snapper). We went with the snapper. We had never seen anything like the pollo con tojadas so it was very unique and tasty!

Excellent Honduran food. I got take out service and it was very quick. The inside was very quaint and clean. The food was great, very well seasoned with lots of flavor!

Food and service was 10/10. I went here for lunch on a Saturday and there was ample parking, friendly service at the counter when you order, short wait and delicious food! I got the pollo con tajadas which was the best I've ever had. The horchata drink was heaven and the vibes and decor were inviting and relaxing. Pro tip- this restaurant is at loyola exit behind sam's. Don't follow the GPS to the airport road! I'll be back! 10/10 recommend.

Another delicious dinner! From a family who has different tastes, this is a wonderful choice for us. The staff are all super friendly! The seating area is cute and clean. Nice music playing in the background. We had our usual Paleadas and tried the enchiladas which were unbelievable delicious. So crispy! My friend and I ate there the other day, I have to say it was absolutely delicious. The food was so full of flavor, the ingredients were fresh, the prices are very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. The employees are very friendly ,attentive and very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food. The interior is so welcoming and cozy, it's almost like being at Grandma's house. Every time my family comes here, it feels like someone invited us into their home. We're always treated like we're a long lost extension of their family. I love the vibe of the restaurant as soon as you walk in. With fantastic drinks and coffee, to the generous portions you'd expect maybe the food is lackluster- but it's the exact opposite. It. Is. So. GOOD!! I highly recommend anyone who is craving that homemade Latin food, this place is second to no one. read more

Seating is uncomfortable. Decor doesn't represent the Latin culture. I ordered a coffee and instead of Honduran or Guatemalan coffee I got regular American brew. I ordered horchata and it was watered down with no cinnamon. Further, drinks are served in four ounce glasses rather than 16 or 18 ounces. Almost looked like kids size with no free refills it's a no for me. The chicharrón was soft, no crunch. The carne asada is not grilled, it's fried, no flavor and greasy. The grilled chicken breast was dried and no Latin spices in sight. Menu items are overpriced. I ordered a platter that cost $40. The carne asadas are $22. Overall, the food is mediocre at best and way overpriced for a strip mall restaurant. Service was excellent but I need the food to taste better. 4 out of 10. read more

Went in for dinner on taco Tuesday. Was impressed with the food. Ordered baledas con todo and pastor tacos. The tortillas were tender, pastor tacos were incredible. Best I have ever had, and I am from San Antonio. First time I ever tried baledas con todo. Beans were creamy and smooth, steak was cooked perfectly, sauce was incredible. I wish this restaurant was in Texas. I am traveling through here for work. Will definitely be back for more before I drive home. Highly recommend this place. When I went to the ladies room, it was unfortunately pretty dirty, which definitely took away from the overall experience. I don't want to take away from the food and kitchen staff, but if we're factoring in the whole experience including cleanliness, that restroom situation needs attention. Also, between both of our meals, I spent $50.46. That feels a little pricey for a quick lunch.
