    Green Banana Slices with Sauce

This was my first time having Honduran food and I was so impressed! My friend I split the 4 taco set, a chicken baleda, and the green banana with sauce dish and my meal divided with my friend ended up costing me close to only $9! The baleda and the chicken tacos had a ton of flavor. The green bananas were decent, but not entirely mind blowing so I might try something else in the future. They were pretty generous with their portion sizes and it's pretty close to the UMC and VA hospitals so if you're looking for cheap and tasty food nearby - highly recommend.

Very casual restaurant with ample parking in rear of building. Food- I only came here to try the horchata. It lacked the almond flavor that a true one should have. Service- Very poor; I had to hunt down the waitress to order my beverage.

After a long morning at New Orleans court, I was seriously hungry and felt like eating Honduran food which I'd never had before. Well, Los Catrachos was quite close and there I went. It was quite packed with Hondurans (and even a couple of Brazilians) ordering some of this country's delights. As in Mexican and other Central American cuisine, beans and tortillas play a big role, but the difference is that they give plantains a large role, plus it's not spicy. The portions were seriously huge and I think I ordered too much but I seriously enjoyed every bite. The orders came out in about 40 minutes but it was totally worth it. Also, if I'm not mistaken I spent less than $20 ordering tajadas, maduros, baleada de carne con todo, and baleada de pollo con todo. Friendly staff too. Please check out the pictures and don't hesitate to go. Update: Went on October 24 for the third time at 4 pm. There was barely anyone there, but still service was quick and attentive. Got the delicious tajadas again, as well as baleada de salchicha and baleada de chancho frito. Always delicious and fresh. Along with soda came out to $18 without tip. So totally worth it.

My brother had asked if I'd been to this restaurant a couple of months ago since it's near my work because he had heard it was really good. So last week I finally went. There were no English menus that I saw but between my HS Spanish and google translate, I managed to order something super tasty. I think you're supposed to order at the counter but we had sat down to figure out the menu and someone actually came to us. I ordered the fried shrimp plate (big surprise) and I had my choice of corn or flour tortillas. My dish had fried shrimp, salad, pico, pinto beans, rice and corn tortillas. It was delicious and too much food for me. My friend got the Honduran tacos and said they were tasty and he even took some food back with him. We both had agua fresca. I had blackberry and he had passionfruit and both were amazing and not overly sweet. I will definitely back to try more items.

Great Honduran food at reasonable prices. Strongly recommend their delicious baleada con todo, the pollo catracho with tajadas, their desayuno tipico. I've also enjoyed several of their beverages including their horchata and jugo de maracuya.

Over charging on state tax at 9.75%

lordered a chicken baleada. They only had two very small pieces of chicken on my baleada. First they messed the order up and gave me beef. Then a very small amount of chicken and refused to refund me. Never will I come here again. Horrible customer service. Store needs to close permanently! I will definitely seek further action towards this restaurant. Also another thing was noticed, this place is overcharging sales tax. Sales tax for restaurants is 9.45% not 9.75% this place owes a lot of customers money for over charging tax.

5 stars because the baleada was good, and because the price was under $4 for the combination meat baleada that I ordered. You could honestly eat 1 and be pretty close to full. Or you could order 2 and be stuffed Essentially a large quesadilla stuffed with beans, cheese, sour cream and any ingredients that you choose. Flavorful, filling. Not the best food I've ever had but it's up there in bang for your buck. Also ordered the carnita celbena. Ended up taking half of the dish home because I was so full from the baleada. The only downside to this dining experience was that the carnita was cooked to way well-done, which is not my preference. I'll be back though to try other meats as the deal is just too good to pass up.

Customer service sucks. Food not really that good. We wait for about an hour for them to tell us there was a mistake on our order.

It was busy at lunchtime, but it gave us time to reflect on the hard work that led to two of my daughters matching in great residency programs. Two years ago, we also celebrated another amazing match day with a friend who flew in from San Francisco to help our family celebrate. I had the San Pedro Maduro. A deep fried plantain filled with veggies, black beans, avocados, crema and queso. I had mine with chicken. One of my daughters did hers with more veggies. Absolutely delicious! My family ordered a wide variety of papusas and tacos. Definitely add an agua Fresca. Loved the horchata, but the favorite was the moracuya. Blackberry and passion fruit. So refreshing and delicious. Muchas gracias for welcoming our family and friends into your cocina familiar. We loved enjoying your family's kitchen on a special day celebrating another chapter of our family's journey. #2800

I've been wanting to hold back on this review because I swear every time I go, there's so many people ordering takeout or dining it! It very much is getting the attention it deserves. I will say, pricier than your other honduran joints but this one is worth it. You can taste the love and fresh ingredients they pour into this place. If you can, go with a group of people so you can try a bunch of dishes. You seriously cant go wrong with anything on the menu but my favs are: Mega Baleada with carne asada and their pupusas! I've had the pastelitos, enchildas hondurenas, combo miramar, combo lempira. Note: Anything that mentions Hondurenas (tacos and enchiladas) they're different than your typical Mexican style!**

Check-in was a little chaotic...the hostess seemed overwhelmed and kept insisting that our whole group needed to be present, even though we were all there, just browsing the thrift shop across the street while waiting for our table. We ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes past our reservation time, but given how busy it was, we were grateful to have a reservation at all! To start, I ordered a Bloody Mary, which was so tasty and even came with a piece of delicious chicharrón which was such a great touch. My boyfriend and I shared the lox and the Alma breakfast. The salmon on the lox was fresh, but the portion was a little small for the price. The Alma breakfast, on the other hand, was great especially the beans. Wow! So much flavor. Easily the best part of the meal. My boyfriend and I were literally fighting over the last bites! Before leaving, we decided to try the tres leches cake. This version was a bit different from others I've had since it was on the drier side, served in a bowl of milk. An interesting take, and I really enjoyed it! Perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. While it wasn't my favorite tres leches ever, it was still a solid dessert. Overall, I definitely recommend this place!
