Too long in some cases, it needed a lot of wood and stucco repair. Hearing how great That 1 Painter was, we gave Bill a call. What can I say. The entire experience was exceptional. During the first walk around, we felt confident in what would be done. And there was a lot to do. His team did an outstanding job. They knew what they were doing and it showed. The tape jobs alone, having to put it up, paint around it, and then cover the new paint to paint the next section (we had three different colors applied) happened so smoothly. It was like watching a dance. Every detail, from start to finish, including cleaning up, was perfect. And speaking of color! Bill sent Julie of JC Color and Design to help pick new colors. I wanted a subtle update. A facial, not a facelift. Colors that would look like they'd always been there, but brand new. Perfection. Absolute perfection. Julie knew exactly what I was seeing in my head, only better. She recommended the 3rd color, a deep brown for the trim and the two sets of patio doors, the latter having been white. What a difference. They're no longer just there, they're eye catchers. Best of all, if it could be any better, which it can, Bill has amazing connections. He knew someone who would stain my front door. He also knew someone who could install (and service!) a new gate opener. It was such a relief to finally get this done! He was also the first to come by to inspect the building to see what type of prep work would be required. He spent at least 20 minutes answering my extensive list of questions and describing our options for a paint base that would hold up to years of relentless desert heat and sunlight exposure. Not only did he provide a very competitive quote, he fit in our painting project within two weeks of the initial request. Jose, Angel, Gudi, and David provided attentive, quality painting skills and did a phenomenal job prepping the site, sealing/patching wood that showed signs of wear, and accommodating a schedule for our dogs to go outside when it wouldn't disturb their work. They did detailed touch-up work on the last day to ensure each element was completed, and they cleaned up every sign of their presence. We appreciated their attention to detail and their willingness to make a last-minute change to a trim choice. He came back to prime all spots that were bad but then refused to come back and touch up if we did not pay for paint . So we decided to pay for more paint and he decided he was going to make good on anything. So we are sitting with a house that has primed spots all over it and he took the paint bucket with the code color on it so we have no way to match the paint .

After receiving four quotes, we chose them based on a recommendation and initial confidence during our consultation. Unfortunately, our experience quickly became disappointing. We met in February and scheduled a start date of March 11. We were told someone would contact us the week prior to confirm paint colors, but we never received a call and had to follow up ourselves. On day one, the foreman did a walkthrough and said they would start upstairs. Only minimal prep work was completed on two bedrooms before the crew left early, promising to return the next morning. Day two was even more concerning. Only one worker showed up, the foreman was absent, and prep work was still incomplete by midday. We also observed workers frequently leaving to vape. I will say the project manager was responsive and communicative when I reached out, and did try to address concerns. That evening, a serious incident occurred. We were alerted via our Ring camera that there was an issue involving the crew and our neighbors. When I called the foreman, he stated they were disposing of paint by digging a hole and burying it on the property. Given how close our homes are, this understandably upset our neighbors. The situation escalated into a confrontation, resulting in police being called, and the crew was told to leave. When we returned home, prep work was still unfinished, no painting had been completed, and there was trash left behind. A new crew arrived on day three and completed the job in a single day, which highlighted how inefficient the previous crew had been. However, communication remained poor at the management level. I attempted multiple times to reach a supervisor but never received a callback before the weekend. While we were eventually offered compensation, it was not proactively handled. I had to follow up myself to address and correct the compensation, which added to the frustration and made it feel like resolving the issue was not a priority. Due to managing our children and my husband working a 48-hour shift, I couldn't fully inspect everything immediately. After noticing additional incomplete work, I reached out again and received no response. We've hired many service providers over the years and have never experienced anything like this. This project caused unnecessary delays in selling our home and added significant stress. Given the cost and importance of this work, we expected far better professionalism, communication, and accountability.

I got another painter to look at the job and the consenses is that the doors were not prepped right . one of the painters said that the paint looked like a baby boys room so my husband did not like he comment . we were painting the living room.
