When we needed our new home painted I knew just who to call. Alex's painting had painted our old home in 2020 and our new home was in need of a paint job. This time we also had them paint our block wall as well. They are very good at what they do and they are very competitively priced. We also paid extra to have them do what is called a roll back or back rolling. After they sprayed two coats of paint they then go back over it with a paint roller. This ensures the paint gets into all of the stucco nooks and crannies. This also helps to make sure that your houses paint last much longer. Years longer in fact. I highly recommend paying the extra cost to have this extra process done. *From the web: "Back-rolling increases adhesion by forcing the paint into the grain and pushing out the air that would otherwise be trapped in the texture. This method adds an additional 4-5 years to the life of our already durable paint job." This is the second time we've used Alex's Painting and once again we were extremely pleased with how the project turned out. We had our interior doors and a closet painted in a beautiful satin finish (SW Analytical Gray). I had a great experience with Alex's Painting. I actually asked for recommendations on NextDoor, and Alex's were one of the three companies recommended that I called for an estimate. I had one bid lower (but they were not licensed or insured) and one bid come in higher. I chose Alex's not only due to the price, but how thorough and attentive Patricia was when she came to do the estimate. I had forgotten to mention somethings to be included, and when I brought it up, she said "Oh, I saw that and we will take care of that in the bid". Wow! Alex's Painting is by far the best painting crew I have used in the Phoenix area. They were prompt, courteous and did a fantastic job. I had them paint three accent walls in my new home. If my husband and I would have tackled this job it would have taken us a week. We both would have complained about sore muscles and cramps from going up and down the ladder to reach the top of our ten foot ceilings. Two workers were able to paint straight lines and climb without problem. It only took them two hours to beautifully paint our walls using two coats of paint. This included the clean up. Our deck is peeling within 8 months of the job being done. We reached out to them and they said the paint used was defective. So of course we are expecting to have the whole deck repainted. No just the areas peeling. What!? Now we are filing a complaint with the ROC which will take months. Disappointed as they had been easy to work with up until now but the deck was prepped properly and now it's peeling and they won't stand behind it. Blaming the peeling on the water from our plant is really funny as it's peeling on all 3 sides. Now our wood is the problem when they were paid to fix the flaking wood. Alex's pricing was not the cheapest and it was not the most expensive. Just where I prefer my vendors to be. I asked for back rolling since spraying, regardless of how much you cover things, can cause a mist and dust. Alex indicated they only back roll just for that reason. They use quality paint. Had Alex's painting to repaint our house to keep our HOA happy. Patricia came out and did a detailed walk through estimate. Their number is actually the highest, but I felt more confident with them because the estimate has a list of what will be included and what's not. The other painters only gave me a lump sum cost with no detail. The lowest bidder could only came out when I couldn't be home for the estimate. So, Alex's may not be the most reasonable, the cheapest, but their work is beyond my expectations. Work was specifically stated not in contract, but was done anyway, and the took the time, I mean really took their time, to get the job done right. Doesn't stand behind their work. We had a deck painted less than 8 months ago and it's peeling on 3 sides. First they said the paint was bad and had to contact Sherwin Williams. Upon hearing that we immediately wanted the whole deck repainted of course. They refused. We've since opened an ROC complaint and they won't even fix the damaged area. We had our basement painted by them and the basement smelled of rot afterwards on hot days. Likely they used old / expired paint down there as well. We've since personally repainted that area too. This company is terrible. We are also reaching out to an attorney. read more

Had the entire interior painted by this company about 2 months ago. I had to tell the painter to cover and tape the area around where they painting twice, and it was specified in the contract. Lots of splatter on blinds, ceiling fans, floors. One of the guys seemed to have a problem with my being home in the yard while they were working and would complain about it to this coworker. Someone left their lunch trash on the side of the house until the next day. It appears they were bored while eating lunch as they pulled up some of the irrigation pipes. Multiple missed painted areas around the smoke alarms and ceiling vents and one side of a bathroom door not painted at all. I'm seriously considering contacting the ROC. Beautiful job! They took the time to prep and cleaned up afterwards. Took a little longer than they first quoted but that was no problem. My only point of dissatisfaction was the drywall repair. It was not the best repair job ever but the hole made by the insulation people was pretty much a hack job, so I'm sure this was the best they could do. Beware of estimating, it will go up after the job gets started. The total job came in just under other quotes received but once the job began the high quote of painting and filling in cracks at $1100 when up to $2600 because estimator only estimated 1 crack. Yes our pool deck looks good but 1 crack? (Mind you surface crack) All other quotes to paint our cool deck came in between $300 and $750. Due to excessive hike on top of new estimate of $2600, we canceled all further work we had scheduled with Alex's painting.
