Camden Morris plying on the cat head stage

This was an interesting and fun spot to stop for dinner while in town. The food was AMAZING!! Fried bologna sandwich, salmon BLT and the cheeseburger sliders were SO good! The ladies serving were on top of everything and super sweet!! The number of incredibly talented musicians who have played there over the years, was impressive. The young man, Camden Morris, who was playing when we were there was wonderful. I loved this time with my family while in MS!! Made memories and ate some great food!! Hand cut fries are always the best!!

This place seemed like a real local gem and I knew I wanted to come here in some capacity during our time in Tupelo. We took the plunge for dinner, our main meal of the day, so expectations were high. We walked in and a decent number of people in ear was basically a packed place turned to look at us. Normally I would shit myself but in this case, it was friendly looks. I could make out some smiles. Even though we are definitely not from around here, I felt welcomed. The bar was one of the few places that had some available real estate so we sat in between two other parties. We were greeted immediately by the bartender and I had to make a game time decision which was assisted by the wall of drafts only a few feet from my face on the wall behind the bar. GF and I chose two beers we had never heard of and were in business. We looked through the menu. We had initially planned on sharing a couple apps (the fries with crack sauce and fried black eyed peas) but we were so full from those two apps we had no room for anything else. the inside is also super cool. The food was great, the service was excellent, and this feels like a must visit in Tupelo

We had recommendations to be sure and eat here and to get there early. We arrived around 4:30 and parking lot was already almost full! Our server Melissa was excellent. She handled a lot of customers with ease. The fried black eyed peas were delicious. The special was fried catfish sandwich and was very good. This is a very casual restaurant/bar.

The food that we had was good, but they were out of a few things that everybody wanted to try and the reason that we went there for only given it three stars because the bartender was a little rude and because one of the people that came with us ask for refills the waitress literally said well I need to know if there's anything else you want cause I got a table of 11 that I need to take care of and I don't know when I'll be back. We were all look at each other like who says that no, she didn't. OK. Great there's your tip.

Go to this place!! The food is great! The service is great and the music was great for songwriters night! Get the catfish sandwich! It was delicious. We also had the birria grilled cheese, sloppy joe, bologna sandwich, wings and Fried Black Eyed Peas! And don't skip the crack dip French fries! Everything was delicious!

On the road on our way to Bentonville, AR we stumbled upon this gem. This is a place that should be on Diner, Driveins, and Dives. This is an absolute treasure. Food is creative, taps are local craft brews, the service is not only stellar but completely knowledgeable. The ambience is a local bar/gastropub. And it was packed. The fried black eyed peas with chow chow is a one of a kind treat here. The burgers come with everything including the kitchen sink. They are a must if you're coming here. Make sure this is your stop if you're ever in Tupelo. It's an institution.

So, I walked in and sat the bar. The bartender had a bit of sass and that was awesome. She was super sweet and helpful helping me choose my dinner. She made all of the recommendations and was absolutely spot on!!!! The restaurant is an interesting place with a very creative menu that is all over the place. I was very impressed and surprised that the food was so good and it all was so very different. Appetizer: fried black eyed peas----absolutely delicious Entrée ---Thai noodle chicken bowls. Amazing!!!! Dessert--- bread pudding, blueberry donut.... WOW! The bar is full service and very professional and productive. I was highly impressed that the band started on time and I mean ON TIME!!! Impressive! The management team is spot on and the staff is highly skilled and functional!!! Great job!!!

I have come to this place maybe 10 times over a 3 weeks period, and did not find out about it until about a week into my trip. The food is great and service is top notch with a Sassy Bartender.... A lot of fun with live music 3-4 nights a week. Definitely new new local away from home..... Sincerely, Tommy Tupelo

For starters my wife and I drove over 400 miles to just eat here. BC is such a relaxing atmosphere you can't help but fall in love with the place. We have had several things on the menu before, for this trip we stared with the black eyed peas then I went with the BC burger and my wife went with the shrimp tacos. Everting is always over the top. As far as service goes it's like they are always one step ahead of you. We went 2 days later for lunch and our waitress from our previous dinner recognized us and came over and talked to us. It's an amazing place and we are already planning our next visit. BC keep being you!

Fried bologna sandwich, was ok, but lots to eat.

Solid beer wall, no mistake there. Lots of local and regional choices for taps. The food was pretty hit and miss for us, mostly mess. I ordered the bologna sandwich which was a thick cut of mead with fried egg and cheese, toasted bread. I thought it was okay but I could only eat about a half of it, so if you really hungry this might be one for you. Bartender was very nice, attentive and took her arrest when we were running low.

Nice lunch find by the wifey in Tupelo!…read more Food was mostly good, so let's start with that first. I enjoyed my meal and it was an amazing value. It think it was like $15 for meat, two veggies, and a dessert. C got the sphagetti with a side salad, roll, and black eyed peas. She had the shortcake for dessert. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes & gravy, cream corn, with jalapeño cornbread. My dessert was a bread pudding. I don't do spaghetti so I didn't try C's. My pot roast was really good. I ate it all. Somehow I managed to not get any veggies in it though, that made me sad. Mashed potatoes were instant I would say, gravy too. What can you say about creamed corn? Cornbread was cold but had nice flavor. Bread pudding was fair, way too sugary imo. We ate in the back where all of the wooden patio is. Really cool set up. The stage is amazing. I wonder how often they use it. There is a really cool bar in the middle. This place is cool! The fans came on and created a nice breeze inside. I imagine in 100 degree Tupelo it can get steamy in there! It was a nice fall day on my visit. I must say this, I think this place is strange in the way that it is set up. It has all the possible benefits of a nice buffet, but only to serve a meat and three type experience. It's a giant tease for a guy like me that wants everything he can see. I wanted to sample it all, but no. C says I should not dwell on things that are outside of my control but this place gives me the intrusive thoughts man. I want to grab the food and make a run for it! Why? Why show me all the food but not let me have it?!?!? Keep it on a hot table in the kitchen if you are just gonna tease me like that. I get that it is "cafeteria style", but it lacks the appropriate guards to keep my hands out of it. It also is having to be constantly staffed in two spots. I won't get into how much money I think they are wasting with this type of service set up. You need cooks, servers , food type servers, two different serving lines staffed with more people on each. Oh, ok I will get into it... Another pet peeve is also done here. You have real plates and silverware but you add a layer of disposable to the mix as well. This costs you more money and cheapens the meal in my opinion. I am sure it's for portion control, but they make serving utensils that offer portion control. To add to the visual ratchetness, it's a mixture of white styrofoam, black "patterned" styrofoam, and black polypropylene served on cream colored plates. Now. No one else probably gives a shit about any of that. No one will probably ever read this far anyway. It's all just journals and leaving bread crumbs for future Adam's for me I'd say. I am available for independent restaurant consulting. Large scale, commissary, and mom and pop places too. '25 - 111++++
