First time visiting this store. Every time I pass that shopping center on Juan Tabo I've seen the sign. I was very curious about what it was. Since I was driving I could Google or check Yelp. By the time I stop somewhere and have time I'd long forgotten lol Honestly I wasn't sure if it was a bar or a restaurant. I had some downtime and was in the area so I just had to stop in to finally find out. Walking in I was quite surprised. It was a very unique store carrying specialty oils, incense, and a lot of unique figurines and crystals, and so much more. It was quite a delight! The staff was so friendly. I exclaimed how it was my first time visiting and they were very helpful throughout my stay. I have to say their oil selection was quite extensive. I may have to try them someday. I went looking for a singing bowl. Asked the guy if he had root charka singing bowls. Seeming inconvenienced he replied "no". I then asked, "what is the frequency of the singing bowls you have? He replied with a smug chuckle... "I don't know". Rude, unwelcoming, lacking knowledge, inconvenienced, smug. I was going in there to drop $300-$500 on a singing bowl but was met with a self-satisfied disrespect. You are better off ordering from amazon. Shop owners don't appreciate it when people shop locally anymore. I am never going there again. read more

I've been coming to Blue Eagle since they were down on Central some twenty-something years ago??? This is my favorite bookstores and one of the only metaphysical stores in ABQ. While there are others, this is my favorite. They have an array of products from candles, to books, to gems, jewelry, meditation aids, etc. The store is well-organized and well-stocked. Readers are also usually on site with appointments available and when available, walk-ins. I typically love shopping here. I also usually spend a lot of money when I come and get a decent amount of stuff at once. The older lady employee who weighed out my seeds, herbs, and powders was making comments the whole time about all the other stuff she has to do, as if weighing out my stuff was taking too much time. Keep in mind I only got 6 different powders/herbs. Then she kept apologizing to a customer WHO WAS STILL SHOPPING, for the wait for check out. She literally told the employee "I'm still shopping" and the employee still made it seem like a big deal to weigh out my stuff while the gentleman rang me up. In my opinion this is more than worth the few dollars you could save using Amazon and finding your new spiritual tool in a dirty mailer on your doorstep. I'm really disappointed in this shop. I've been shopping at blue eagle for years and I happily drive the 40 minute drive to and from my home because blue eagle was the only reliable metaphysical shop in Albuquerque. However, my recent visit was so horrible I won't ever shop here again. I'm a mother of two, my youngest being 4 months, going any where requires a full day to plan out. So we drive all the way across town to go stock up on our favorite items. We pull up to an empty parking lot 1hr before they close and I get out my toddler first then proceed to get my baby strapped up in the carrier. We walk up to the door and I don't even have a opportunity to fully open the door before one gentleman shouts no children are allowed in the store. Mind you, there were no other customers in the store. Just the 3 people working and none of them were even wearing a mask. That's not even why I'm bothered. I literally park right in front of the door and I took a good 5 minutes to get situated to walk into the store so this guy could have popped his bald head out the door and tell me I can't come in with kids. Which is such a ridiculous rule. What am I supposed to leave my kids in the car. That's so awful and such discrimination. The owner needs to reconsider that rule because some of us are trying to raise spiritual children who love to shop for their own crystals. read more

I am a total fan of Blue Eagle. I have loved this store from when it was located in the Scottsdale Shopping Center. I always find something that I love. If there is something that I want, but they do not have at that time they will order it and call you. Just walking into the store makes me happy. Mitch and Spencer are wonderful. This place is amazing! There are fantastic things everywhere you look. The staff is always impressive with their knowledge. I have seen some customers ask some pretty obscure and interesting questions and they always seem to handle it well with a genuine interest in helping people. I come in here often, I usually find a little something that I can't leave without; so it is a fun place for me to just browse. But when I need a unique gift, it is the first place I go. The place is packed with dragons, faeries and Egyptian figurines. They have seemed to have a bit lower prices in the last year or two, so they have a bit of an edge on their competition.
