Noriko was so sweet and friendly, as was the lady who checked me in at the front (I didn't get her name). The facility is clean and cozy, offering tea or water when you arrive. The facial with products includes eminence products which all smelled and felt incredible. They also specialize in Japanese Cosmo Lifting Massages and Noriko integrated some of that into my facial, which was great and something new for me. From making the appointment, to arrival, and situation all the way to checkout and bidding them adieu, everyone was so very nice. Somewhat sad that this is not a given, but in London it certainly isn't! This makes Chi Yu stand out. I made an appointment for same day with Rie, who was great. I was escorted downstairs to the treatment area, and given 30 minutes of chair massage. Brilliant, just what I wanted. She was very communicative and definitely helped ease the tension. I probably need one every day for a month to really work it out, but this really helped. I took a menu and will definitely be back. Really like the vibe of this place, the atmosphere (also SUPER clean), and the service offerings. Don't get me wrong - I'm not rolling in the dough, nor have I ever been one to go to any sort of monthly beauty/spa/massage therapy treatment. John was actually recommended to me by a yoga teacher at SoHot Yoga in Soho (Karen - amazing!) when I asked her what was causing my hips to never seem to be in line. On top of that I'm someone that constantly needs to move my body and back around just to get rid of various aches in shoulders/neck/back. Until John. Before my treatment (which was actually off of one of his various offered deals), we had a sit down to discuss my history and where I would like the massage to focus. I tend to be a bit shy in massages - hardly ever speaking up - and never getting the right amount of pressure applied to my back, especially. But this actually felt like a partnership in getting me the best possible outcome. We agreed that given all the annoyance it gives me, he would spend the whole hour just focused on my back, neck and shoulders. This was absolutely the best massage of my life - I could literally feel the tension escaping my body - and now, a week later, my back feels 1000x better than it has in years. For me, this isn't a monthly relaxing spa date to put on my calendar but assured relief from day to day built up tensions and stress that we all put our bodies under doing various activities. We arrived there and were greeted by our massage therapists. They were very nice. However it seems like the massage can be hit or miss. While I liked my massage, my partner thought his was just okay. My massage could have been better because my therapist had to take a couple of phone calls from a client who was on his way and needed to know about parking. Although she apologized for talking on her phone, texting, and even going out of the room for a bit and also stayed a little over to finish my massage in the hour, it was still kind of annoying. Overall a solid place though and one of the best prices in town. The massage place is downstairs in the same building as a hair salon, which is what you will see first upon entering.

I have also tried his 4 hands massage treatment with his massage partner, and that was very good too. I have also tried the simple relaxing massage and sports massage. I visit once a month and treat myself to his massage sessions. The best treatment of Ray's, according to my experience, is the Unique 3 Step Treatment. I don't think any other massage therapist offers this treatment in London, or in the UK for that matter. Ray came highly recommended by a colleague of mine, and I can clearly understand why cityboys visit him for massage treatments. Perfect location too, close to London Liverpool Street station.

I typically prefer a blend between Swedish, Pure relaxation and Deep tissue and the massage I had from Chris was that perfect blend.
