After picking up my new shoes, it was time to grab lunch, so we headed over to Blue Goose Cantina. Even though the parking lot was completely full, we managed to snag a great spot near the front, which felt like a good sign right away. Walking in, the restaurant immediately impressed us--it was spotless, bright, and very well organized. I loved seeing the area where they make fresh homemade flour tortillas; it really added to the authentic atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, Ms. Chloe, whose friendly smile set the tone for a pleasant visit, and she quickly seated us in a cozy booth in Ms. Rebecca's section. Rebecca was attentive, kind, and efficient throughout our meal, bringing water, chips, and salsa right away and giving us time to comfortably look over the menu. We ordered a side of guacamole, bacon-wrapped shrimp, and the lunch beef burrito with Spanish rice. Although I'm not a seafood eater, my daughter absolutely loved the shrimp and finished every bite, which says a lot. The guacamole was fresh and the overall experience--from the service to the atmosphere--was very enjoyable. The only disappointment for me was the ground beef burrito. It was a bit underwhelming and didn't have the flavor I was hoping for, and I wished I had chosen the steak instead. The hostess greeted us and we were seated immediately. The vibe is super laid back and loved the bar area. It's a good place for groups or a chill date. Our server Isaiah was nice and friendly and answered all my questions. Now for the food! Award winning margarita flight 7/10: really enjoyed the peach and kiwi cucumber. The hibiscus didn't really have any flavor but I could taste the liquor. I wasn't a fan of the tajin on the rim - I never am and don't realize it was on the rims. Next time I'm going to ask for it not to be included. Combo fajitas 8/10: I always love the sizzle of a good fajita plate. The meat was flavorful and juicy, which was chicken and steak. We recently visited Blue Goose Cantina in Grand Prairie, Texas. This time we did a pickup order, and everything was packaged with care and ready on time. I ordered the jalapeño ranch fajita chicken salad, and it was delicious! The flavors were great and everything tasted fresh. My only complaint is that the portion of protein was very small compared to the size of the salad. Other than that, we were all happy with our meals. 3 weeks ago New Quick review about the AMAZING customer service of the Blue Goose. We generally eat at the restaurant but we were exhausted so decided to order delivery. We ordered dinner and a Diablo Margarita. Uber Eats delivered and we noticed it was missing the Diablo. The bag even had a note written on it that said "Needs Drink". We chased the delivery girl down and she said "It's on the restaurant". We called Blue Goose and explained what happened. The manager, Kayla checked with her "to go" girl and let us know that the restaurant felt they had the drink with the order..The enchiladas were also made incorrectly. Kayla explained that they wanted to make it right. The next thing we knew, we received a text that Kayla, the manager, was delivering our order herself! I have worked in food serve and also been a delivery driver with a company. I have NEVER witnessed this type of customer service! The Blue Goose went above and beyond for customer service. The food is always flawless and the service impeccable!! Thank you Kayla and staff!!! If going to the restaurant, the smell of smoked meats smells so good as soon as you get out of the car. We went last night and had a fantastic experience! The food was great across the board. We ordered the shrimp, birria tacos, and the kid's chicken quesadillas. The quesadillas were surprisingly large for a kid's meal--honestly big enough to share! Everything was fresh and flavorful. This place checks all the boxes on what a better Tex Mex place should be,..,but. First, kudos to the FoH manager. Service is impeccable, friendly, casual, efficient like you'd enjoy in a family joint. This has been the case the three times I've eaten there. The issues are in the kitchen. It's inconsistent, the only consistent thing is the inconsistency. I base a Tex Mex joint on its cheese enchiladas. Blue Goose has what should be a great version but can't seem to execute it. I think their primary problem is the cheese they use; it varies from a tough log to a rubbery blob. The tortillas vary every time as well. Either extremely hard bottoms from sitting on heat too long, or stale and hard, overall just bad. Each time bad, and if remade, just barely improved version. The super thin chips and salsa are excellent , though they need to get rid of the little dishes and put the hot sauce in a bowl. The servers will slosh drops of salsa as they put on the table. The fajitas are good. Chile relleno good. I gave them two extra stars for great service. Fix the kitchen please. read more

Loved being seated immediately with a party of four. The parking lot was packed but the wait was nonexistent! The restaurant is bright and smells like fresh grilled food. This was one of mine and my mother's favorite places to go, service and food was top notch, in fact we had eaten halfway through the menu, we had excellent waters and waitreeses until Rebecca waited on us twice, this was a disaster the first time she waited on us we finished our goose eggs appetizer, Rebecca would not even come back and check on us after we were finished with our appetizer so after 15 minutes I got up from the table we were seated, went to the bar and asked for our bill, paid, and left, we usually order an entree, but we were completely being ignored. I considered this to be a one time thing I mean nothing can be perfect all the time, so we go back to the Blue Goose in Grand Prairie, and ran across two real good waitress/waiter (Breeanne and Andrew) did not have any problem with them at all and gave them a tip over 20%. We return to the Blue Goose in Grand Prairie and Rebecca is our waitress for the second time and deja vu same thing all over again but worse, we order the goose eggs appetizer and 10 minutes goes bye and no Rebecca, 20 minutes goes bye and no Rebecca, So I asked another girl that worked there if she could check on our order, so shortly after that Rebecca brings us our order plops it on the table and says their was a party of thirteen people that had ordered goose eggs before us, so first come first serve and walks off. This was upsetting for me and my mother, so I asked for the manager (Ryan) he kindly apologized and wanted us to order an entree, I'd lost my appetite so we just ordered the Avocado Toast-Adas and split them between me and my mother, which Ryan let us have everything for free and he said he'd talk to Rebecca. After all this I thought we could go back and request a different waiter/waitress so on March 17, 2026 a little after 2 pm we returned to the Blue Goose in Grand Prairie and requested a different waitress than Rebecca and the girl that was in charge of seating told us that no other waiters or waitresses was able to serve us but Rebecca. This was unacceptable to me and my mother, I asked the girl maybe we could come back on one of Rebecca's days off and she said she did not know her schedule. so with that I just told her we'd eat at Beto's next door and the service was much better there. I don't know what or why a waitress would act in such a way it seems like she does not like her job cause she does not go above and beyond like some of the other waiters/waitresses have done in the past. I do not know if we'll ever return to the Blue Goose in Grand Prairie but if we do we'll definitely set at the bar so we can avoid Rebecca, she is the worst waitress that has ever served me and my mother. read more

Yesterday my wife took the day off to run some earns. We had my mother-in-law and our fur baby with us. We worked up an early appetite so we decided to give Blue Goose a try. I have to say the weather was great and them having a patio was a god send since we had our dog with us. The service was great and the food was just as good. Our saver was Rebecca and she went above and beyond. Since were really didn't plan on eating out we didn't pack something for out fur baby.
