After months of frustration, unfulfilled promises, and ongoing damage to my property, I've decided to share my personal experience with Blue Haven Pools and Spas regarding the construction and failure of my pool. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the serious issues -- including structural cracks, leaking, tile hazards, and damage to surrounding landscaping -- I've been met with delays, deflection, and blame-shifting. They don't bother to return call, respond in a timely manner and when I gave them a heads up that I will be publishing this video, they had the audacity to say that they will NOT be "extorted". But whatever they do in within the rights and outside their control. DOUBLE STANDARDS That they have a lawyer on their team to respond is a clear indication that they have done things wrong and hiding behind legal language etc. to run away from their responsibilities. The conveniently say they have put the claim to the insurer and they are waiting on them when they promised lifetime guarantee during their sales pitch which since then they have back tracked on. Blue Haven built our pool in 2021. Four years later, it is cracking and losing water. When I contacted them, they said someone would come out, they never did. when I mentioned the leak and asked for a possible bandaid to help, they said theit hands were tied because of insurance. 6 months later, we had to pay out of pocket for a core testing, came back ASR. Also, experts determined the pool wasn't even built not structural built to industry standards. so now we had to dig out our pool and redo it out of our own pocket!!! The 5 star reviews must be paid and fake because overall, this is one of the most unprofessional and appalling companies I have ever done business with. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. We were well aware that building a pool was going to be a long and strenuous process, but we never anticipated being treated as poorly as we have. We have been cussed out personally by both the owner, Casey, and the superintendent, Ben, on multiple occasions because we have had to call, email and text numerous times just to get a response. Blue Haven failed to schedule 2 very important inspections prior to moving on to the next phase of the project and when we called to discuss this and voice our anger and frustration, Ben called my husband a MFer. Missing these inspections set us back and could have derailed our project and we had every right to be upset. Had we not called over and over to get an update, I don't know if these inspections would have ever been scheduled. Ben, the job superintendent blatantly told my husband that he was delaying our pool because he did not like that we were angry about the multiple failures on his and his businesses part. Now, months later, it was clear that he was valid in his threats because we are still not finished. After breaking ground in July of 2021, we have now had water in our pool for just shy of 6 weeks. We still have 2 minor issues that need to be resolved and will take less than an hour of their time, and they refuse to come out and complete the work. We honestly don't even know when we are able to begin to use the pool because no one will take our calls our respond to text messages. I am in such distress that our plaster will not set properly because we have not been given the tools, knowledge and communication about our expectations outside of "brush the plaster." It is apparent that now that we have paid in full, they no longer care about our project. In the beginning, we were asked to give them grace due to labor and supply shortages yet we have been berated, belittled and insulted when we get upset about ZERO communication. I understand that building a pool is not an easy and delightful project, and we went into this knowing that it would be stressful, but the lack of communication and quality of communication is unacceptable. Today, I was told to "stop F-ing calling" and to "F off" by the owner when I called and said "I feel like I am literally having to beg for someone to just call and talk to me about where we are at." They constantly constantly lie right to your face. There is nothing honest about this company!! don't believe a thing they say they are trained to lie! Everything they tell you is bullshit! We had a vision of a pool on the incline behind our House and I have to say Blue Haven brought our vision to reality and we couldn't be happier. Bobby came out a couple of times to discuss our plans and after a few modifications he was able to provide a quote that was within our budget. Even with a high end Automatic Cover from CoverStar and a Water Sheer. Mathew managed the project and the subcontractors. The access to the site was limited and the contractors did a great job of overcoming the obstacles. I had many concerns and Mathew was able to address everything I had an issue with. Bobby and Mathew were very responsive and quickly addressed all my issues. Michael installed the Pool Cover and went above and beyond to make sure the install was perfect. He recommended the Mocha Color and we love it. We priced three different Pool Companies and we're so glad we chose Blue Haven. It was quite difficult to get a final price to compare from the other two companies, while Blue Haven was very upfront with the pricing. The best advice I can give if installing a gunite pool is to cover anything like a deck to catch the gunite dust. Although, 30% Vinegar cleaned it up fine. I would recommend Blue Haven to my friends and family who, like us, dream of having a pool. We love it. read more

After 9 months of no work done and their salesperson moving to Hawaii without their knowledge, we had to cancel BlueHaven. To get out of their contract, despite no work being done, cost us $4k. They told us that they'd rather use their lawyer than do the work. They have a lawyer on staff, I was told, and that he gets paid to do nothing or work. So, what am I to do? Pay a lawyer for infinite work or just settle to get out of their contract? They did zero work over the course of 9 months, but I had to pay them an extortion fee of $4k, plus deal with them for 9 months, to move on. Also, Casey is the dumbest person I've ever met. He's the owner. Good luck if you choose this awful, untrustworthy, lazy company. They told me once that they couldn't do tile like that because they don't have anyone that does tile well. The foreman on the project said, "you think we can do patios? Look at our yelp reviews?" He was gone shortly after that. The turnover at this company is unreal. The only turnover that is really needed is Casey Worthy (the owner) and Shelley (lead salesperson/liar). They have driven this company into the ground. Shelley told me that Casey's dad isn't happy with him. His dad started the company in San Antonio and gave Casey a franchise in austin. Casey has ruined it in austin. Daddy is unhappy. :( read more

Unless you have a really high budget, this company is worthless. I met with 5 builders, Blue Haven was the second one I met with. Within a week, we heard back from 4 of the 5 builders...nothing from Blue Haven. We emailed the rep who met with us, he apologized for the delay and ensured he'd have something back for us shortly. That was 2 weeks ago and still nothing. We've decided to go with another builder and even went over our budget. Sorry if $70k isn't a lot of money for your typical pool but it's a lot of money to us. Nobody else, not even Cody Pools, made us feel insignificant or too small to earn our business. So once again, I have no idea how their work is but I do have an idea of how their service is. #bluehaven took us from initial estimate to staking our pool to receiving first draw of funding before telling us they were scared to build a large pool because they don't engineer their pools ! Well that answers that! "No go ahead and cancel the contract blue haven and no I won't cancel it , you should." Now I have to go through the hassle of making sure they refund all the money to the lender. They could have stopped this and discussed it earlier. If I could give this company zero stars I would. I contacted Blue Haven for a new pool build over a month ago. I provided them with all measurements, 3d photos of the exact pool and layout I wanted. No one came to do onsite visit or follow up with estimates, next steps, etc. No one has contacted me. Only after my 3rd email did they say "Sorry for the delay. We'll have your quote by end of the day." That was 3 days ago...lol. Not sure how you run a successful business when you don't follow up with potential customers. Simple communication Blue Haven. They came out and looked and and said " It's not our best work, but we are not re-doing anything" I had to hire someone to come out and finish the koolcoat that they didn't finish. I'm in the market for a pool and FB ads popped up for Blue Haven Pools. I reached out to them and talked to Shelly. My new house I close on in a week so I let her know I would need to request and schedule an on site appt. Shelly suggested the day & time that worked with her schedule and we scheduled it a week prior. I set up the appt with the homeowner. I confirmed it a few days ahead which Shelly confirmed. The morning of our 11:00 appt at 9 am I texted Shelly to confirm again I would be meeting her. All of a sudden I get a call from her saying she had a new construction appointment that takes priority over my appt and I need to play it by ear if she's coming or not. I asked her for clarification since we had an appointment set over a week ago and she knew I arranged this appt with the homeowner. I asked when she would know if she was coming or not as it was just 2 hours prior to the appt. and I lived 40 min away myself. If she wasn't coming I wanted to let the seller know so he wasn't waiting around as I think it's quite rude to cancel last minute with very short notice. Her comment to me was if I needed an answer then go ahead and cancel it because her other appt took precedence and so she didn't know if she'd make mine or not. Keep in mind I reached out to her, she never reached out to me to update me and had I not checked in she probably would have just no showed. I own my own business and am extremely busy myself. I only scheduled 2 bids total and planned to choose one and start right away. I don't like to waste my or other peoples time and if this is how the process starts with them it is a bullet dodged. Shelly you chose the day/time of this appt. I made my schedule work to what you wanted and arranged it with a retired homeowner so he was there and then the day of with just a short time prior you flaked. Why would you have another appointment that you said is more important than mine the same day/time as ours when you set our appt? Why wouldn't you have known that a day or more prior to give me a heads up so my schedule wasn't messed up? You didn't even seem to feel bad . You seemed annoyed I was trying to confirm with you and make sure we were set up. read more

Any construction always seems to take longer than anticipated. There will always be bumps in the road. When these occurred, both Carlos and I went in with a positive attitude of fixing the problem to our mutual satisfaction The result is a beautiful pool. Even my maintenance professional has commented that the pool was well done. I have not experienced any problems. I am looking forward to a wonderful swimming season this year. I have had 3 pools built in the last 40 years. First pool built by Blue Haven. Beautiful pool. No issues. My friend has a pool cleaning business and when I sold the first house, she continued services for the new owners. So she has been servicing this first pool since around 1995. Built the 2nd pool in my new home, around 2004. Nothing was easy in this process. I asked for a lower seat in hot tub. Checked it everyday to make sure. They assured me it was the depth I asked for. Well it was not correct. So they had to dig the concrete down to lower the seat. Still not correct. But I accepted it as it was, but not happy. My equipment was always breaking and had to replace repair all the time. My friend told me she had never even had to mess with the first pool equipment at the first house. She also said the tiles, the grout and inside of pool looked as good as when built. So the BH pool equipment was apparently better then my custom pool equipment. My concrete from day one had issues, the grout started coming out between tiles. So they returned to fix. Charged me too! By the time I sold 2nd house I said I would use BH again if I ever built another pool. I went 1 summer without a pool and we missed the exercise and cooling off from the heat of N Texas. I called Blue Haven and met with Jennifer in the Ft Worth office. Knows her pools and was very helpful in helping us design our current build. It has been easy in every aspect of building this pool. Samantha, David and Jennifer communicate and coordinate every step in construction of this pool. We have not had any issues and it has been pretty painless in the steps. We have plaster left to complete and then it will be ready. I love the design and I am glad we chose Blu Haven again. I have a lot to say but I will try to summarize it very quickly. We went through a bad process, Bluehaven came out as the winners, so we went with them for a very kind of extravagant set up. The total amount was going to be $140,000. We signed the contract and everything went great until we paid the last payment. That payment was in November 2021 and since then our pool has been neglected and we cannot get anyone to finish it. Our controller has been changed out three times. The last time it was changed out was nine weeks ago. Nine weeks. Not only that but we have waited for months to get our fire pit up and running. We actually had to hire our own crew to get it done. Because we cannot use any of the features of the pool for the last almost 3 months, it has been really hard to clean it and put chemicals in it to make sure that it is safe for swimming. We have all of the tools and equipment that we were told to buy from blue Haven but we have not been able to use it since we had water in our pool from November of last year. Also because of all of the neglect and disregard, our pool needs to be re-plastered. No one will call me back. I can't get anyone to respond to us. I will hire another pool vendor to finish out everything that should've already been done app until now. Bluehaven broke our fence and will not fix it, they also were supposed to supply us with a second motor and now I have decided they don't want to do that. All of this needs to be reported and also needs to stop. We paid a lot of money for everything to be done and it's not done and some of it will have to be fixed and repaired because of it. read more

Things started off bad even with the permitting process, We have multiple Heritage Oak Trees on our property (which was know) except the permit got declined multiple times, bc blue haven was trying to permit as little as possible each time so that it wouldn't be as expensive for them. (it took 3m) Finally on my husbands birthday they showed up to start digging. The digging immediately came to a stop when the digger couldn't fit through our barn door opening (which we were told had been previously measured for the job). Blue Haven refused to take the door way down at their expense even though they had assured us in contract that they would pay for any clearance removal/rebuilds in the even that the digger couldn't fit through. Finally we had to ask our neighbor if we could drive through their yard and take down the fence between yards to make this work. Blue haven said if we couldn't get that access they would refuse to build our pool. Thankfully our neighbor was nice enough to let us tear up their yard! (Blue haven refused to help us with the repair of their grass) we went out and did that on our own. About a week later all the plumbing and steel framing went into the pool, along with electrical. That went mostly ok, we had a slight issue arguing angles with the plumber but it got settled fast. They sprayed the gunite and then once that dried, they started on the coping and tile. The tile was the worst tile job we'd ever seen! We had multiple people out to look at it, when we approached blue haven about our concerns they said, well that's industry standards and we can't do any better. So they said if we could find someone on our own they would pay for it (and that was after 6 weeks of back and forth emails). Of course the bid we got to fix their tile in the pool they were hired to build for us was way too expensive for them! So Blue haven finally hired someone to come take and look and only after this guy said the tile was 90% bad did they take out and reinstall the tile (after 2 months of back and forth). The next step was the plaster, (they started digging this pool in June, and it's now mid October) they came without letting us know, and on a weekend we were away. Which would have been fine except, after the plaster is done you have to fill the pool up and no one told us about that so after the pool filled our back yard flooded. The plaster look terrible. None of the benches had straight lines and there were so many large man sized foot prints everywhere. Also the hot tub jets weren't all set to the same depths. Some hit your high back and some hit so low, let's just say they don't hit your back, but your bum. We talked to blue haven they assured us they could acid wash it out, and so we gave them that chance to do that and after a month of them trying to fix it, they failed. And the hot tub jets they just chopped up to well sorry we can't fix that. Ultimately they did finally rip out all the plaster and re do it. (by this time it's late November) During the plaster debate (since the pool took so many months over our loam terms) our construction loan closed. We couldn't approve final payment to a company who wasn't finished and wasn't meeting the standards they promised, having already filed 1 extension due so their lack of quality and unwillingly ness to fix things without debate, a second was declined. We notified blue haven of this and started working on other loans.. Of course its hard to get a loan on a half built pool, at a rate that's not criminal. We didn't use the pool until summer about June, when we noticed that the depths of the pool were so far off and the coping that they installed was literally falling off in chunks. It was all over the bottom of the pool. We were told that the coping they suggested to us would be fine w salt water.. That it may discolor, but that ultimately the erosion would be minimal. We already have to have it replace it's so bad (after 1 summers use). Also they installed the spa heater out of code right by our children's window and said they would move it and never did. The upgraded equipment we bought has never worked and we've already had our salt cell replaced within a year of use. We did finally get a loan and asked blue haven to come take a look at the things we weren't happy with and would ultimately be paying for by making this final payment. When he showed up and took a look, he we want to walk away from this project. He wanted to know what we'd would be willing to give them with this pool as is. That he would give it to us for their "cost" but then refused to show or discuss cost w us. My husband told him that we would have to get a bid to fix the things wrong with the pool to come up w a fair number. They came after us in court for the money we owed, plus their attorneys fees. After hiring an attorney and a long process we won the case, but didn't get awarded attorneys fees and we still need our pool fixed. read more

I completed an online form to request a brochure because I'm currently shopping for a swim spa (or something along those lines) and saw Blue Haven recommended on a buyer's guide website. Shortly afterwards, I received a voicemail wanting to discuss designing my pool. At this point, I really only wanted the brochure to get an idea of the possibilities and prices. I called back and the way the guy answered the phone, I wasn't even sure I had the right number. He just said "hello." I guess he uses his personal phone for business as well. I explained I just wanted to start with the brochure and he asked me to text him my email address and he'd email me one. I did but I never received anything. Perhaps this is a company who only takes people seriously if they don't want to research options first and are just willing to dive in to building a pool. Perhaps they're too busy to worry about winning a new customer. Perhaps they didn't take me seriously because I'm a woman. Whatever the reason, I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service. I am very sorry that I chose Blue Haven Pools to be my pool builder and I would not recommend them to anybody. Their customer approach is awful. They treated us like an inconvenience once the contract was signed. My husband and I missed work on many occasions because our site manager was rarely there and we had to tell the subcontractors what needed to be done and correct them when they did something wrong. The subcontractors even told us that the site manager should be there! It was a terrible stressful experience. Our salesperson told us that certain things would happen and then completely stopped returning our texts and calls shortly after the contract was signed. We have accepted things that we don't like just because we didn't want to deal with them anymore. When I tried to escalate to management, they promised me something that they didn't deliver and then they wouldn't even return my calls. Worst experience I have had working with a company. read more

Blue Haven was affordable and did a great job installing our awesome pool. Casey and Nick were communicative throughout, and we got exactly what we wanted. We had a small issue after 6 months, and they took care of us right away on that as well. Our pool is beautiful, the equipment has worked great, it's even been easy to keep clean. My only personal advice is build during the off season so you can get the great personal attention we did! read more

We have been dealing with this company for over a year now and have had a poor experience. They took a long time to get our pool built (over 6 months) and quoted us the incorrect timeframe and price initially. They expect payment even when the final product has not been delivered. They require a lot of supervision and are a headache to work with. Customer service is lacking and accounting is poor, so be sure to keep your own records of payments made.We received the final invoice in November last year and mailed the check. They claimed they never received it, so I had to place a stop payment on the check. We then tried to hand deliver the check during business hours, but the office was closed. Casey then proceeded to tell us to mail the check again or put it under a rock, which is just ridiculous. In the meantime, we discovered the pool heater has stopped working altogether to which he snidely remarked would be covered under warranty once we pay. In summation, this company is NOT worth the headache. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable pool company! read more
