Unfortunately, that decision has caused me nothing but problems. Last year, I experienced roof leaks that led to damage inside my home. What followed was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. It took multiple emails to Tyler Morgan and numerous phone calls with different employees just to get someone to come out. The first person they sent told me there was nothing wrong with my roof and that they don't cover interior damage. After reviewing my roofing warranty, I found that statement to be completely false. After reaching out again, they finally sent a second contractor. He was great, seemed knowledgeable, and "fixed" both the roof and the interior damage. I felt relieved at the time--but that didn't last. Now, I'm dealing with water damage again in the exact same spot, plus a new area nearby. I first reached out to Tyler on March 16 and have since sent four additional emails with zero response. I also called on March 19 and spoke with a receptionist who assured me someone would come out the next day to take photos. No one showed up, and no one followed up. Since then, I've called over 20 times and have gotten absolutely nowhere. At this point, the lack of communication is unacceptable. The customer service is the worst I've experienced. It genuinely feels like they are avoiding me to get out of honoring their warranty and paying for the damage. My warranty expires in September. I will be getting this resolved one way or another, and if I don't hear back by next week, I will be pursuing legal action. Save yourself the headache and go with a company that actually stands behind their work.

It seems that the biggest challenge with hiring a contractor is finding someone who communicates well and is responsive. Fortunately, Homestead offered both- they were very communicative through the estimate process, securing materials and throughout the construction. All of their staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable having them at our house. We used request a quote through Yelp to kick off the experience and felt good about their positive reviews. Homestead Construction has been a dream come true to work with. From beginning to end Chuck and his team had everything under control and exactly as we asked. We only had a couple of problems, but Chuck was quick to the draw to have them fixed or figured out. I wouldn't change anything about our experience. Feazel was incredibly proactive, professional, knowledgable, and worked thoroughly with our homeowners insurance. Mike Justus was our sales manager. He was available for every question, showed up with insurance adjustors to advocate for us, and guided us through our entire process to have siding and gutters replaced. Our project manager, Josh, and the actual installing teams were also phenomenal. While it took awhile for the project to complete, largely due to our own questions about the process and wanting to compare contractors and also because so many houses in the area were affected by the storm, Feazel stood above and beyond in their customer service. The installers were experienced and so detailed. They worked tirelessly even in freezing conditions to ensure our home was expertly repaired. Elk Roofing came highly recommended to me by a general contractor/handyman I have used for smaller…read morejobs around my home. I had a leak in the roof near my chimney flashing, and the job required more expertise than my handyman felt he had. I had a few larger roofing companies come out to give estimates, and all were either unwilling to do smaller jobs or had prices that seemed far too high for a relatively minor leak repair that was almost certainly caused by sealant failure. Elk came out within a couple days of my initial call (this was a minor leak and did not require immediate repair) and performed a thorough inspection of my roof. They agreed with my assessment that the leak was relatively minor and due to sealant failure, although they noted that some of the decking surrounding the leak would need replacement. They provided a very reasonable estimate, which included the full cost of materials. I hired Elk for the job and all work was completed within the week. Elk removed the shingles from the surrounding area and replaced the damaged decking with new plywood. They even took the time to match my shingles perfectly, ensuring that the repair would not be visible, and did a superior job flashing the chimney. It has been more than six months since the repair and I have had no further issues. After the job was complete, Elk took the time to help me store the excess shingles and plywood in my backyard shed, just in case they are needed for future repairs. As a bonus, they were less expensive than any of the big roofing companies I had out, and the contractor who did my job seemed far more experienced/knowledgeable than the technicians who provided my initial estimates. I was very pleased with the prompt, professional work I received and would definitely hire Elk again!
