Two days later, I received another call from the spa--this time offering us 50% off if we would come at 8:00 a.m. I again explained that 8:00 a.m. was not an option and expressed that the repeated attempts to move our reservation made me feel as though our 11:00 a.m. appointment was an inconvenience. The staff member explained that they simply wanted to make sure we had a good experience. I understand that perspective, but after the second call, it was difficult not to feel that accommodating the soccer team's booking was being prioritized over our existing reservation. Paula works with a lot of pregnant woman, so her massage table can raise you to a seated or supine position. It will even elevate your legs or bring your knees up. Paula is an incredible therapist delivering deep tissue when needed or less pressure as appropriate. She also utilizes "cupping," a very different sensation as the muscles are pulled up by the suction cup instead pressed down by the hands. One of the best things is the eye masks she sometimes uses when she turns you on your back. She'll check first to see if you want it and if there are any scents that annoy you.
