They use moving blankets to protect the area they are working in and make sure to discuss the job with you before they start working. If you need quality service work these are the guys you want at your disposal. They are locals and very tight nit with the Ithaca community. One minute they are changing out your shower diverter amd an hour later they are installing steam piping at breweries. These guys do ALOT pf different jobs big and small. Give them credit where the credit os due. I dont care how many times they have to go get parts. Things change in a split second and your old ass house is the problem not them 100% of the time.

The plumber disassembled the tap, told me they needed to order a part - as usual, these always require some brand specific cartridge - and they'd get back to me once they sourced it. He did not put the tap back together properly, so I had to figure out how to reassemble it myself, and Warden never called me back about the replacement part. Weeks later I still have a dripping tap. Would not call these folks again, guess I'll teach myself how to replace the cartridge on my own so I can be assured of a decent job.

Got to the shower and first plunged it (with my plunger) and broke the plunger. Then snaked it. After about 30 minutes of hearing the banging of the snaking I came in to see what was happening. The clog was worse and he seemed baffled as to why. Mentioned that the snake was fully extended and he didn't know where it all was going - that it made no sense. I walked downstairs to find water pouring through the ceiling and a sink overflowing. He proceeded to say that "that was already like that". That we are now at about something like $400 for his time thus far and to keep going we are looking at $300 more. My response was that I think I would have noticed if I had water leaking like that I would have noticed and pointed out that we were just down here scoping the clean out and there was not water pouring out - this just happened. I asked what he thinks might be going on, did he break a pipe snaking? His response was "I am going to leave it there" As in I am walking out with water pouring through your celling and out your sink. I was shocked and barely holding back tears. His response was "this is my business and I don't want you to sue me". He did indeed walk out. It took me 24 hours to get something else here and in that time a pipe burst in our wall causing even more damage. Turned out he broke the shower pan when snaking causing the issues - yet another issue we are left fixing. What a nightmare and beyond unprofessional.

The project vastly exceeded the initial 4-hour estimate, ending up at over 8 hours of labor without any mid-job notification that the scope or time was doubling. Additionally, I was charged two separate $150 site visit fees ($300 total) for a single job that was split into multiple visits for their scheduling convenience. Despite a verbal agreement to provide the main parts 'at cost,' since I already had them ready to order, the final invoice included significant markups on basic cleaning and truck supplies like towels and buckets. When I reached out to discuss these discrepancies in good faith, suggesting compromise, the response was defensive and included immediate threats of late fees on a first-time invoice that was actively being contested. PitStop reduced the invoice by $50 as "good faith". After I itemized out a compromise between what I was led to expect and what was invoiced, I was ghosted. After waiting a few weeks and following up with no response, I chose to pay the invoice in full simply to close the matter, but I strongly advise other property owners to get a binding written contract and a capped labor quote upfront before any work begins.
