The hosts were pleasant. There were plenty of snacks that allowed you to sample their different oils and vinegars and see how you could utilize them in your own kitchen. There was lots of time to chat with your friends and taste the oils as the night progressed. For an additional $10 you could purchase two glasses of wine for the evening. We wrote glowing reviews for the staff and event. As we were leaving, only two people from our party purchased product and the vibe of the room went from friendly to frankly quite cold. We did not stay past the recommended two hours, were clean and courteous. So I can only assume it was because they did not receive the immediate purchases they expected. Overall the evening was lovely but was left with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth from our last interaction.

While their prices are a little steep ($29 I believe for a bottle of white balsamic) they're truly worth it. The bottles keep for a year and by that point you're probably due for a new one anyhow. Oh goodness, it is a whole store by Duchess filled with the most amazing, well like the name says: Provisions! There are cookie, cake and pie making equipment. A How-To kit for duplicating their famous macaroons. All the gadgets one would need to bake a masterpiece are in this delicious little side venture. They even have a wall stocked with jams, honeys, caramels, chocolates, nuts, salts, sugars and other high end, super must have ingredients to wow your taste buds (and show off to your dinner guests!) I bought a delightful crystallized honey as well as a jar of salted caramel that is so amazing it could be drizzled on a dust bunny and make it taste divine! I also added to my insane cookie-cutter collection, which I hide from my other half so he doesn't think I'm Kitchen Cuckoo! Oh, wait... I think he's on to me ;) This is definitely a must visit store if you are a culinary wizard, or just like to wing-it! It is a go-to destination to pick up that perfect hostess gift or for your super foodie friend. And even a $4 jar of something, in its beautiful package, will make anyone feel like a Duke or a Duchess!

As I entered this store, at their new location, the first thing that caught my eye were their displays. They are like little pieces of art telling stories about the items they carry. They have a kids section inspiring fun ideas on how to engage kids in the kitchen. There is a wide selection of flours, sugars and other baking gems (some organic and some not). They carry cookware, bakeware, bread making products, books, teas, chocolates, extracts and compounds, preserves, canning supplies, mixers, cake stands, serveware, kitchen linens, aprons and so much more. With Christmas approaching this is an excellent place to find gifts. And if you're hungry, Café Linnea is definitely worth a try next door.

Both times there's always parking out front of the shop. I mentioned that I'm mobility limited and they brought the direct payment machine and my box of donuts out to my vehicle. Friendly greeting from the same guy two weeks in a row. I super appreciated the fact he even waited a bit longer for me to allow me to get a second pick up this past week. I had sent the Facebook request closer to them closing (completely forgot 2 pm is now when they close). Also the fact that he let me order 7 donuts was great too, as I was dropping donuts off to my cousin's family as a surprise but still wanted a couple for my personal enjoyment. Since I've first tried the donuts in Devon, then at Roasti and now at Olive Nook, they're consistently addictive. Great flavour choices posted on Facebook and Instagram and super easy to place an order ahead of time on Facebook Messenger. So besides the donuts being super delicious and bringing joy to all that I shared them with, customer service will definitely keep me coming back.
