Thankfully, Dr. McKinley was able to work him in the very day that I called. And, although the tooth needed to be extracted by an oral surgeon, Dr. McKinley cleaned the root out enough to relief my husband of the excruciating pain that he was in, so that he could actually sleep that night before going to the oral surgeon the next day. If I need an endodontist in the future, Dr. McKinley will be the doctor that I schedule. The hubby can tell his own personal story about the ordeal, but from my standpoint, Dr. McKinley's office saved him from such unrelenting pain that makes a 5 star experience for me!

I told them this my first visit and they took the time to get to know me, help me try to get comfortable, and provide me medicine that I could take before my appointments to help me relax. I usually see Amber now and she is wonderful. She remembers things I've told her that are going on in my life, my kids names, etc. and it just makes you feel like a friend, not just a patient.

I drove 1 1/2 hours to Sleep Dentistry of Spokane hoping to finally receive safe, trauma-informed…read moredental care. I sought this office specifically because I have significant dental trauma from past procedures where I was drilled without adequate numbing and told to "man up" while in pain. I have extensive dental work that needs to be done, which is exactly why I sought sleep dentistry. After the exam, I was told I did not qualify for sleep dentistry, not based on any anesthesia evaluation or airway assessment. The anesthesiologist refused to come see me or consider my case, and instead the office manager was sent in to deliver the decision. The only options offered were standard local numbing or nitrous (laughing gas). As an autistic adult, these options do not work for me. I have severe anxiety related to needles and the sound of the drill, which the office was made aware of. No meaningful alternatives were discussed, and no referral for hospital-based anesthesia was offered. To make matters worse, I was casually told to "go to my primary and get on Ozempic," which was completely inappropriate, unrelated to dental care, and dismissive rather than compassionate. On the financial side, I have had Delta Dental insurance for nearly two years, yet the office's financial representative told me I would need to wait another seven months before receiving any care, which made no sense given the length of time I've already been insured. If you advertise sleep dentistry and trauma-informed care, patients should not: * drive long distances only to be turned away * be denied an anesthesiologist consult * be offered only basic numbing despite documented trauma * be given weight-loss medication suggestions instead of care options * receive contradictory or inaccurate insurance information I came here seeking treatment, safety, and understanding. I left without care, without solutions, and deeply disappointed after investing significant time, travel, and trust.

I was looking to retake control of my oral health having not seen a dentist in over a year. During…read moremy initial visit with Dr. Stein's office, I was able to get fit in for both a cleaning and exam. The hygienist was very calming and gentle and did a great job. After my exam, Dr. Stein's team wrote up a treatment plan and guided me through the process and cost of the restorative work that would be done. Due to a short notice move, I was concerned I would not get all of my work done before leaving Spokane. On the first day of my restorative work, I asked the receptionist, Marinda, if they had any other appointments available soon. She was able to coordinate an appointment for the very next morning to finish all of the work on my treatment plan. The work included a crown that was made in the same appointment. I was highly impressed by Dr. Stein and his whole team. They have a welcoming environment and an attitude to get the job done. I would recommend their services. 10/10

My dental hygienist is always a huge highlight of my visit, she is so skilled and knows what she's doing. The dentist was also very kind and knowledgeable, and they fixed my problems from the most rational view. As someone who normally dreads going to the dentist, I'm not upset to come here. Another huge highlight to working people, they care about your time. I was even given time estimates and they always kept me updated if anything changed too much. I was treated so much better here compared to my previous dental office that charged more money for poorer quality services.
