She manages my vacation property, and all the reviews on it have been fantastic with comments like "impeccable", "pristine", and "whoever maintains this house is doing an amazing job". She has been my property manager, and local point of contact since I began renting it over a year ago, and has been an GODSEND! She has an incredible attention to detail, and handles everything to make the house tip top shape for each renter, including cleaning, snow removal, repairs, spa maintenance, purchases for anything the house needs, staging the furniture and decorations, and sooo much more. Home owner beware! Most unprofessional behavior and work is substandard. While supplies for the home are included with services, they are the cheapest quality. The wrong size sheets were on the wrong beds. Unfortunately my experience with Blue Lake Home Services was very disappointing, I'm a professional business owner and have never spoken to a customer the way I was spoken to. Very excited to finally find an excellent cleaning company for our vacation home in Tahoe City. We were having a very hard time finding a reliable cleaner in the area that could accommodate our needs and give superior customer service. The owner is meticulous and is an absolute pleasure to work with- which is very refreshing after the experience we've had with other cleaning services in the area. Brenda is fantastic. She helped us with my brother in laws 50th birthday in June. She put snacks out all day long and made sure everything was tidy and stocked. Unfortunately our experience with this company is not as good as the other two reviews. We have a vacation home near Lake Tahoe. When we leave, we simply want someone to come in and do general cleaning, bedding laundry, and make the beds, etc. We do not have a vacation rental. Generally the cleaning job was always good. We had no real problem with this aspect of the service. Over several trips, we tried to get the company to understand how we wanted some things done. I did not want my towels folder into fancy animals and placed on the individual beds like you would find in a high-end cruise ship or resort. I wanted them folded and put away. I had a specific way I wanted the beds made. We have a bedspread and they never seemed to understand what that was. This last time we left, my husband simply took a picture of how the beds should look so they understood. We obviously ticked off the owner because we simply got, "Effective immediately" we will not be able to come and clean. No reason - No warning. This left us with the house in disarray and the bathrooms in state that we are not comfortable leaving for future use. I do not mind, if the owner believes we are too particular and she does not want to work for us. I mind that we were not given a warning and we were not given a reason. We now need to go back and get things in order ourselves, and we are looking for another company. I own my own business and I cannot picture - no matter how persnickety - leaving a customer in this type of situation. Be warned and be aware - don't cross the owner - you will find yourself in an unexpected situation. read more

There is often only one cleaner to clean the home, left the linen in the dryer, or sometimes guests would complain about the linen not being cleaned. When you sent over the feedback, she would say the house needs deep cleaned, or it is because it is a back-to-back cleaning. With her deep cleaning, I am not able to tell the difference before and after even with triple charged cost. I found this time, I need to get another source for deep cleaning after her cleaning. With her cleaning, you are not getting any feedback about the house damage either. I have never written a negative review before, however, this time I really feel like I should share my experience. I really agree with previous review that Brenda is super rude and unprofessional. She always blame either you or renters, missed cleaning, would drop ball all of sudden and I had to drive hours to pick things up. Definitely avoid her if you are doing STR based cleaning remotely. read more

Brenda is a gem! She helped me for my husband's 50th birthday at a Lakeside home we rented Tahoma. She set up for a party of 50 people, decorating and organizing the tables, prepping food, making drinks, passing appetizers. All the while she cleaned and tidied, making the beds, folding beach towels, doing the dishes, and keeping the party areas inside and outside clean. She needs no direction, simply takes charge with a cheerful attitude. We will definitely hire Blue Lake Home Services again! read more
