    Matcha Latte w/ Coconut Milk

We stumbled upon Blue Lantern by chance after an early dinner and due to a dire need for a hot drink. The building is beautiful and perfectly hipster-y on both the outside and inside; it used to be a bank and there's a really interesting story that goes with it. The staff was so kind and accommodating of my mom's allergy, and their coffee & matcha latte are both really good. The winning factor at Blue Lantern is honestly the friendly and comfortable atmosphere! My mom said that if she lived in Lewiston, she would honestly be there every day (and I agree!)

Coolest coffee house in the United States. I travel the world for a living. This place has a great vibe. I can't speak to the coffee, since I don't drink coffee...but the fruit smoothie I had was delicious. The staff is super friendly. I could spend hours here sitting in front of the gorgeous picture windows. Such a lovely space. Who would've thought...in Lewiston, of all places??!!

    This makes you NO MONEY.

Strange place. Coffee house slash wine bar slash discount Knick knacks slash super confused. Zero fresh pastries and the most awkward smell were things I could look past because I needed coffee and it was rated so well. One employee on serving six people meant a wait so I took in the strange decor. Apparently this place used to be a bank. Coffee and latte served were both incorrect. I would have had her fix it but she seemed over stressed making drinks with people waiting in line. Two stars because she was super Nice and the place was clean but Jesus this is a poor choice for coffee.

I actually love this place so much. The staff there are always so welcoming and sweet. The shop is absolutely gorgeous, also selling postcards and other souvenirs. This is going to be my new safe place

Delicious matcha green tea latte and blueberry smoothie (blueberry, orange juice, yogurt, honey). Super cute coffee shop with plenty of natural light and seating. Beautiful art by local artists and chill music inside. Comfy sofas. Wonderful and cheerful staff. Great place at the heart of downtown. Very relaxing here.

It can be tricky to find really good coffee in an unfamiliar city whose intricate, one-way streets and slightly run-down historic neighborhoods aren't always intuitive to navigate. Lewiston, Idaho is easy to avoid if you want to; just follow the signs that shuttle you around the city center using the Highway 12 bypass route, and suddenly you're crossing the Snake River into Clarkston before you even realize it. That's too bad, because Lewiston's Main Street is revitalizing with interesting shops and restaurants and walkable public spaces. And, if you reach the Blue Lantern, you'll also discover some good, locally roasted coffee, free wifi, and fresh baked goods to keep your road trip engine humming. The coffee here is sourced from Landgrove Coffee, a small-batch roaster in Troy, Idaho, and comes from organic, sustainable growers. The baked goods are made in-house using locally milled wheat - how cool is that! The interior space here is very antique-looking, with lovely plants and Victorian-era collectibles and furnishings, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. You'll feel like you're in a coffeehouse, not a coffee bar or non-descript cafe outfitted with run-of-the-mill IKEA furniture. Blue Lantern is probably the best coffee you'll find when driving the Highway 12 corridor from Montana's Bitterroot Valley, where several good places are available in Missoula (Black Coffee) and Hamilton (Big Creek Coffee). You'll have to drive all the way West on Highway 12 to Dayton or Walla Walla before encountering another coffeehouse, cafe, or roaster of this quality. They offer local beer and wine in the evenings as well; ask the server for more information when you visit. Locally sourced honey, ceramics, and organic milled grains were on sale on a small display shelf when I visited as well. So, the next time you're passing through the area and want to dip your feet into the local downtown culture while enjoying good coffee and baked goods in the process, or just catch up on email or your latest draft Yelp review, bookmark the Blue Lantern and see if you don't walk away as impressed as I was.

Blue Lantern is easily Lewiston's premier coffeehouse. Dawn puts exceptional effort into using wholesome, local ingredients in her coffee and pastries, and has succeeded at creating a safe, comfortable space for everyone. Frequented by college students and knitting groups alike, Blue Lantern--a glorious, trendy haven for art and culture--has really rocked the boat in the Lewis-Clark Valley. This place is a must-visit for any coffeehouse fan.

I am from Seattle and had business in Lewiston for the day. I love this place, the building is amazing and the vault is still intact near the bathroom, and the res of the interior is fabulous. The coffee is the best I'm eastern wa I have had yet. They use only local milk and don't carry non fat. (Sorry people that don't know what good coffee is) Their wifi is fast, there is plenty of on street parking, and the barista was not only knowledgeable but she was super nice. If I lived within 30 min this would be my spot. Hopefully you stop in this gem and check it out.

Loved it. The coffee delicious and the owner delightful. I have friends that go there everyday and I can definitely see why.

A quaint hangout or study spot. Also a nice place to chat. The coffee is great... I love the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly vibe.

Place is neat looking inside and out, service was nice, coffee was good but I felt it was kind of expensive.

This cafe is my second home. I started coming here almost a year ago and I'm here now almost every…read moresingle day. They are open Tuesday-Sunday. I'm not normally here at nights, but I think they're open until 5 Tuesday and Wednesday and then 9 the rest of the days. There are so many good things to say about this place, I'll try to keep it short (no promises): Having been coming here daily for a year, I've had the pleasure of watching the place and the staff grow. They had a couple of things going on when I first started coming here, but they've really branched out. Trivia on Fridays, WSU football games are live streamed. Open mic on Saturday nights, there's usually live music on Saturday mornings. Bingo on Thursdays just started. The owner supports local everything, including artists, authors, and musicians. There's a whole shelf full of board games and crafting supplies as soon as you walk through the door, so there have been multiple times I've been here with my kids playing board games and I've seen others do the same. The best part: Pet friendly. Beyond pet friendly. They sell puppy birthday cakes, kongs, pup cups, and quite few other dog related treats. There are multiple dogs that just hang out in the front with their owners, but there is a nice area in the back complete with booths and a barrier to allow friendly dogs to be off leash. Coffee and human food are amazing. Staff is lovely, supportive, and just overall amazing. This will forever be my home coffee shop as long as I'm in Pullman.
