Some locals recommended that this was a place to go downtown. We were talking to Craig, the owner, who was working the bar in the afternoon. He was talking about all of the natural wood that makes up the walls and the bar itself. The place is awesome looking and very spacious, sitting choices in and outdoor, delicious food and drinks. We ordered the cranberry chicken salad and a bacon/chicken wrap. So tasty delicious for sure! read more

Friendly staff - ALWAYS! Great food selection, excellent drink selections. The Chicken w/ Asparagus was incredibly tasty and the sauce was epic. The ownership is always nearby and involved, friendly and accommodating. The Hockey decor is fantastic... think Slapshot meets Stanley Cup. The deli next door is also theirs and has an amazing array of goodies for every taste and the same great attitude with their staff! read more

Went there on Friday night with a group of seven. Bar area was basically empty, but patio had a nice crowd. Service was not good (waitress missed drink order for two of us). Food was greasy and small portions. We have been here previously, don't know if we will return. Can see why this place is in the running for Bar Rescue. read more

The best food! They even have gambling machines that don't always pay out. I'm happy to say I lost $100 just playing the machine!

Thought my friend and I would stop in after Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue visited a couple weeks ago and did his thing here. Band outside was good, ambience was great, and absolutely loved the patio where the band was playing outside. Nice and relaxing. Not too impressed with bartenders as they were not really welcoming when ordering a beverage. I had one full beer and didn't finish the second. I was there maybe an hour. There was a gentleman wearing a bucket hat and sleeveless shirt with a black and white dog. He seemed like he had a few. I was thinking just someone passing by and decided to stop in while walking their dog. Then a woman wearing all black with shoulderish length black hair that looked and walked like she had enough was with the dog. I noticed her try to pick up the dog by the collar to lift it up to sit on the bar stool. Only the collar! The dog was just a little shorter than the bar stool. I did a double take cause I'm like "she did not just try to pick that dog up by the collar around its neck to lift it on the bar stool". She did not try picking it up by the body, just the collar which in turn choked the dog. She did not succeed (to many beers you loose strength) I continued to watch and she tried it again and that's when I noticed a second color on the dog which I finally realized was a shock collar. Then I saw in her hand, something black and realized it was the remote for the shock collar. While she again tries to pick up the dog with the collar around the neck, she is also trying to shock him to get up on the bar stool and choking him at the same time All this to get a dog, that is in front of an outdoor band (which is loud for humans, much less a dog), with people moving all over the place on a barstool. I don't tolerate that type of behavior towards animals as they are the innocent left to humans devices and at their mercy with no voice. So I went up to her and asked if she'd like me to strap a collar around her neck and pick her up by it and try lifting her off the ground while choking and shocking her to sit on a barstool. The woman told me to mind my own effin business. Come to find out it was the owners girlfriend. Just sickening that they think treating animals this way is ok. I'll never walk in there again. Not that it matters cause me not going back there won't shut it down or make them loose sleep, but, to know those are the type of people running this business, I felt this should be shared. Will never eat there again. Server was extremely rude. Took over 20 minutes to get the drinks that we ordered and it was not even busy. Server dropped F bombs in front of my family and when arguing with a customer at the bar. My daughter was so uncomfortable she had to go outside until her order got there. As someone who works in the area around Top Shelf, my colleagues and I order from local businesses quite frequently for lunch. I normally never write reviews, good or bad, but the service and food we received today from Top Shelf was so terrible, a warning to others must be given. We ordered from the EatStreet delivery app and after a massive amount of time for the food, a call was received wondering why we hadn't picked up the food. Seriously?????? A confirmation that the order was received, delivery charges etc charged so they obviously received the order since they called us to pick up the food! When explained delivery etc. The staff member was extremely rude, had no clue what to do and was being prompted by someone in the background on what to say. After much back and forth a delivery person finally showed up with the food. The fries were warm but the burgers stone cold. My colleague walked over to the restaurant to request the burgers be remade. What we got was microwaved, reheated, crap. Frankly, I couldn't even eat the burger imaging the nastiness that the person in the kitchen probably did to the burgers. Waste of money and frankly, after this experience, I'll never go there again. I am not really a fan of "sports" bars, but there is something about this place that I really like, and I can't quite figure out what it is. They have a small, but decent selection of beer and liquor, which leans towards the standard, with mass appeal, although they have a few small surprises. And while the menu is not overly creative, everything I have eaten here has been excellent-finally a good Reuben in this town with thick slices of rye bread and plenty of good quality, Boar's Head corned beef! They also have a great patio and on nice nights sometimes have a band playing. While, at first, I was disappointed that yet another sports bar had opened in this town, I have been pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy this place. read more

I'm not one to usually leave reviews. Came here with my coworkers in our lunch break. Was only one other table there and a few ppl at the bar. Took about 10 mins for someone to come over and take our drink order. They brought out 2 of my coworkers meals and told us the rest would be out soon. Was over 20 mins before they came back again and told my other coworkers hers needed to be remade and mine was on the way out. Never brought mine out and the coworkers who had to get hers remade came out. The waitress told me " idk where yours is" and walks away. At that point had been there for 45 mins. Got mine about 5 mins before I had to be back at work. Very poor service when it wasn't crowded at all. The pulled pork is very mediocre. Wouldn't have it again. Would maybe go back here if I didn't have a time frame since the service is so horrible. read more

Ordered take out perch. The fries were barely cooked and saturated with grease. They went in the garbage. The marble rye looked delicious, until I tried to eat it. It was toasted & so tough you couldn't pull it apart. Perch was ok, coleslaw good, soup ok, tarter sauce was the best part of this meal. Very disappointing. read more
