We invaded the Press Box on a Saturday afternoon with our 5th grade basketball team in tow. What better place for a group of boys to hang out waiting between tournament games. First time here and I was quite impressed to find this size sports bar in Fond Du Lac. Two indoor sand volleyball courts & a small outdoor ball field. The service was great. There was only one bartender & one cook. They did a great job handling our large group along with the regular Saturday afternoon crowd. The food was reasonably priced. $25 for a burger, chicken wings, pizza, fries & cheese curds. Pretty typical bar food. I liked the wings, fries and pizza. I thought the burger was somewhat bland. It was a good size patty but was just a frozen burger. I would consider a different vendor for their burgers. The cheese curds were plentiful but also underwhelmed in flavor. Plenty of tv's for watching a sporting event and enough space to spread out a bit. All in all we had a good time with good service at a reasonable price. They are cash only. There's an atm on site but be prepared to pay the service fee.

It's a conundrum why the city of Madison doesn't have any indoor sand volleyball courts yet this working town has two, heated, well-kept, fine sanded courts. The only dislike is that it can become a heat box after couple of rounds of playing. You're not allowed to open the side door because they don't have the ability to turn the heater down or off. We took a break and ordered the 1/4 lb Angus burger $3.50, side of fries $2.75, and sweet habanero wings $6 for 6. Usually burgers in the small town are bomb, but these were flavorless, gritty, dry, and anemic looking. The pickles were surprisingly not of the over saturated, imitation green, Sysco kind. They were crisp and retained it's original form. They don't have lettuce or tomato, you're only topping are red onions. The fries were skin-on fries thicker than shoestrings . They don't hand bread their own onion rings. I asked. Wings were clutch. Crispy shell, with tender, white meat in the middle. An impressive, half a dozen list of flavors you can have coated or on the side. The bartenders are also the line cooks, being a small town there is no wait service and the attitudes are generally gruff. Only table beers on tap. * ° first review of 2017! Whoo!! ° *

Staff was there for the social and not to tend to customers. Best hamburger in the sate, not a chance.

The deep-fried queso cheese curds were fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the deep-fried pickle chips, which were crispy and full of flavor. The Bang Bang Shrimp Salad was excellent, with fresh snow peas and cucumbers, and the Thai dressing added just the right amount of flavor and zest. We also ordered the perch dinner with sweet potato fries, and both were very good. The only item we would not recommend was the lobster bisque. It came out warm not hot and It lacked flavor. It seemed to be missing something that would have made it more enjoyable. All of the portions were generous, and we definitely felt we received good value for our meal. The servers and restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We would recommend this restaurant to others. Plenty of TVs throughout your watch your favorite sporting event. Being on the water on a beautiful summer day made for a peaceful setting. There is tons of seating available, including tables, booths, and seating at one of their two large bars, making it a comfortable choice for a variety of dining preferences.

To Em G. - your ignorance on religious history is very telling, if not appalling. The building used to be a bank (or so we were told). The "swastika" design on the floor dates back more than 11,000 years... literally. It is an auspicious symbol in Hinduism as well as several other religions. It was installed in that building before WWII (also, so we were told). In case you haven't priced flooring lately, best to leave original craftsmanship and educate yourself than replace an entire bar floor because some ignorant folks are "offended". Keep up the great work folks! We will be back every time we visit Fondy!

My 6 buddies and I flew in from all over the country for a reunion and got an Airbnb on lake Winnebago. After having a great time at nearby bars (The Coliseum and Fat Joes) we stopped here for another drink. After giving the bartender Taylor our IDs, which were from different states, she immediately said they were fake and she couldn't serve us. We are all 25 years old. When we insisted we were all of age she said she would have to call the police. She refused to return our IDs until the cops came, she also refused to give me water until the police came because she "couldn't serve us at all" Refusing a drunk guy water, what a great way to run a bar! The worst part of it all was after 45 minutes of waiting for the police, we decided to call them ourselves. She never even called them! This establishment decided to ruin our night out of malice and spite. The police apologized for her ineptitude and told us not to let it ruin our view of the town. Taylor made that quite difficult.
