First time using this taxi service, last week!!! they picked me up at 8am, from my home..garden/dundas whitby...dropped me off at Toys r us on thickson..whitby...no problem I called for them to pick me up at Toys r us, when I was done shopping, to drop me off back home...They said to me this isnt possible, they only provide services thats pick up in oshawa and drop off in whitby..or pick up in whitby and drop off in Oshawa....This clearly is a b/s rule...I was asking for a 5 min ride..they did it at 8am but wouldnt do it at 9am? BLUELINE - Driver's plate codes 19 and 79 specifically - are the rudest company I have ever encountered!! Wednesday evening, around 7:15pm, I exited the Oshawa go train station and walked up to the first cab. I had come from an appointment in Hamilton that I was unable to change, despite the fact that I had injured my back only two days before. Having to walk in from the second parking lot down the road in the morning was difficult enough, but after two long train rides and a busy day my back was in excruciating pain. On top of it all, my zipper had broken on my jacket and I returned to bitter and windy weather. Normally I would not have even thought of taking a cab but it was all too much and the thought of making it back to my car was even more. I got into the first cab and said where I wanted to go. The driver replied "I've been waiting here for an hour, why don't you walk?". Despite proceeding to explain the injured back and broken zipper, the driver yelled at me to get out and walk. When I asked are they not supposed to take any fare that requests them, he replied that he didn't care. Heading to the second cab, I was obviously in a very bad mood. I said to the second driver that the first cab refused to take me. He asked where I wanted to go and when I replied he yelled at me that he had been waiting there for two hours and that I had to walk. The same conversation ensued with me leaving in an even worse mood. Not only was their behaviour horrendous, but there is no way that they had been waiting one and two hours respectively without leaving for a more lucrative location. I mean, did 2 to 4 trains really come in without anyone raking a cab?? I ended up walking very cold and super sore to my car in the parking lot down the road. I know it's not an insanely far distance, but given the circumstances I was not doing well by the time I got there. I called the cab company to be told that their complaint department was not currently available. They took my name and number and told me they would be in touch. It is now Friday at 10:31pm and I, of course, have not heard a word. The whole situation was deplorable from every aspect. If anyone has been unsure about uber, I'm here to tell you not to be. I have used uber many times and have never been treated with anything but friendliness and respect. I pre-booked a cab on Dec 24th 2017 for Christmas day at 7:30pm to take my girlfriend, myself, and her son home. So my very overworked older parents would not have to drive us back home. The cab was of course late, so we waited a half hour as it was Christmas. When I called in the agent was extremely rude/arrogant and could not tell me how long the wait would be. Again I gave him and the company the benefit of the doubt and waited another 1/2hr. When again no cab came I called again only to get the same rude/arrogant treatment and no answer as to the wait. At that time I cancelled the booking and my very tired mother drove us home. The next day the 26th. I called in to speak to a manager. The Manager was also extremely rude and arrogant. and told us that "head office" had told them not to tell clients a wait time. After informing her that I had pre-booked, and that with any other cab company pre-books take precedence. And that it takes less that 45mins to clear a cab even if that cab is going out of the city. She still offered no resolution and basically told me "Too bad". I feel quite cheated as Blueline used to be my go-to for a cab here in the city, and I have had zero issues with them before. I have written to head office and am awaiting a reply. But people be warned. read more

I had a procedure at the hospital. I called for a cab so I'd get there early. 9th floor, I was at the door when I called, there was no wait for the elevator so it took no more than 2 minutes tops but I waited 15 minutes and no cab. Called was told that he had been there waiting. When told that they'd send another. It never showed. I had to pay the apartment Super to take me to the hospital. I was a cab driver in the City of Toronto for 4 years. The level of service provided by Blue Line was totally unacceptable. read more

VERY CONCERNING INCIDENT Today I witnessed a heated occurrence between a Blueline Taxi driver and an SUV driver which was very concerning on multiple levels, ranging on the mild side from unabashed rudeness and escalating to an indefensible usage of the racial card. The driver of the SUV trailed by a Blueline Taxi was attempting to park his vehicle in a marked parking space at Teddy's plaza on the corner of King St W and Park Rd S. The SUV driver pulled into the parking lot and signaled his intent to back into a parking space.. all good. The taxi driver came up behind him stopping within a couple of feet of the SUV's rear bumper. This is something one sees frequently and it is always the person following that is responsible to maintain a reasonable distance from the person in front. However, often folks follow to closely and most of us are used to this and perhaps tolerant of it in our fast paced cities. The decent thing to do it such a situation is to back up a few feet allowing the vehicle in front the opportunity to park. Particularly in this situation, where the cab driver had no one behind him to prevent him from quickly and simply backing up a few feet. Instead he decided to flex his ego, extended in the form of his 1.5 ton cab, by not budging. While the SUV could have simply moved on and looked for another space, he certainly shouldn't be expected to and every now and then it's right that one should stand up for what is proper. The SUV driver done everything a decent person should do in that situation: 1) Wait a moment without hitting his horn or being aggressive, giving the cab a moment to back up. 2.) Gesturing appropriately to the cab he wanted to back in. 3) After no response from the cab, getting out of his vehicle and approaching the cab driver asking him to politely move 4) SUV driver returned to his vehicle expecting cab to move and still the cab won't budge 5) Attempting to approach and ask the cab one more time to move. After all this, instead of backing up a few feet, the cab driver decides to pull up and pass the SUV on it's left side (passenger side) in a ballsy tight pass between the SUV and the row of parked cars, undoubtedly an aggressive move that only served to escalate the situation. The cab driver having passed the SUV pulled over approx. 20-30 from the SUV to let his fare paying passenger out. The SUV promptly parked his vehicle approached the cab driver to voice his disappointment and then took a picture of the rear of the cab and the driver to presumably report his reprehensible actions. As an outside observer and business owner, I was appalled at the cab driver's lack of respect and rude actions, particularly considering that this driver's actions were reflecting poorly on a well know business. Having seen this, I decided to approach the cab driver seated in the cab and express my concerns. Calmly and respectfully but with a firm tone, I told him that his behaviour was rude and grossly inappropriate. Belligerently he responded that I could do whatever I wanted. I followed up with telling him that his behaviour was a very poor reflection upon Blueline Taxi. At that point he began yelling at me calling me a racist. Noting how enraged he became and seeing that a rational conversation wasn't going to ensue, I walked to the back of the cab to take pictures of the License and cab number, so as to report him to his office. After this the cabbie's passenger exited the cab appearing fraught with concern, having just witnessed her driver become unglued. All this was so unnecessary and easily avoidable but for an ego driven, disrespectful cabbie. I may not have written this review or have thought, necessarily, poorly of the Blueline Taxi company, chalking the incident up to a mild example of road rage by an employee having a terrible day, except for the fact of Blueline's apathetic response when I reported this to them. They did not apologize for their driver's behaviour nor did they thank me for reporting it to them. I did not report to them in an over the top or heated manner. I was calm, respectful and dispassionate while reporting the details. The Blueline rep that I spoke with conveyed a lack of concern and disinterest that spoke volumes about Blueline's company culture. I could say much more but that is the substance of what happened. Blueline directly lost three customers this day, the incredulous fare paying passenger, the SUV driver, myself and then there will be all the folks that will hear of this word of mouth. I have never dealt with a company so hostile to it's customers. I was an hour and a half for work because the cab never showed up. I booked the cab 2 hours in advance and was not warned about it might be late, after it didn't show up I called and was told it would been there soon, 20 minutes later I called back and again was told it would be there soon. 30 minutes later I called back and asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to a man named Brian. Beware of Brian if you deal with him, he was extremely rude. Why work in a company you have to talk to people if you hate people Brian? I was offered no apology, explanation or time when my cab would arrive. Finally I gave up and had to call friend after friend until one could finally give me arrive. I just spent nearly 5 hours constantly on the phone trying to get a wheel chair accessible cab for an elderly lady in a wheel chair. 5 hours. The staff repeatedly hung up and lied to me saying the driver was on his way. Then when he finally arrives he tells us he was never once contacted by dispatch. The staff should be ashamed to treat this this lady this way. Worst cab company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. read more

The worst driver ever this morning!!! Taxi 19!!! Rude, and nasty. I forgot my purse. Was taking taxi from Oshawa go to 777 Oxford and back. Asked if 15$ was ok, I know from previous rides it comes to 16.25$. We'll get to Oxford his debut won't work! Had to go get cash advance on my daughter s credit card at atm. Charged 9:50. Then reset meter and had to pay another 9:50 back to station. I spend at least 200$ a week on blue line. Never again. Even called dispatch, did nothing!! read more

Blue Line are the worst taxi cabs in Oshawa! I stopped using them years ago when one year in February we had had freezing rain, and I had to get to the Go Station to take a train, and I had to struggle with my luggage on icy driveway to the cab, the driver didn't even get out to help me! I had to nearly kill myself to get the luggage into the cab! The drivers are always surly, rude people. Reason I'm writing this today, is that I just got soaked with freezing cold slushy water off the road as I shovelled my driveway/sidewalk! The Blue Line cab was barrelling down the street at high speed, and must've been blind not to see me! Didn't stop either! I had to come inside and totally change my soaking clothes. I tried calling them but the wait was too long, and I'm furious but really... no cab number, and will they care? I doubt it. Use City Wide or Taxi Taxi, they're better. read more

Blue Line Taxi drivers are rude and do not know the current driving laws. Yesterday in Oshawa I was aggressively honked at by a Blue Line because I refused to drive through a pedestrian crossing while a pedestrian used it. Anyone who knows the rules of the road is aware of the fact that in September 2016 (half a year ago!) a law was passed that you cannot drive over a pedestrian crossing while a pedestrian is crossing, even if there is space, you have to wait until they're off the road. read more
