One of the best decorated Yoga Studios I've seen in my 15 years of Yoga! That's because one of the…read moreowners was a high end Ms. decorator, I found out. BUTT, more importantly the Yoga here is Unique not freak unique but clever and inspiring. It's a bit small inside but cozy and really quiet... a calm space with a buddhist taste. Thier golden gift is the WALL YOGA class, where you use straps to wrap around inset bars on the wall and ceiling and eyelets in the floor to hold yourself in new and more stable postures while doing resistance stretching!!!YAH! OH SO KEWL! (Real Yoga should be like sex, keep on mixing it up!) So, I hope these oceanside islander pepls stay around along time so I can come back and enjoy thier wild and wonderful WALL YOGA!! As I recall the owner is South American and had a really down to earth vibe, the price was good as being just across the street from the famous Hotel Del (Coronado) puts him and his partner in a high priced rent district, so the price is higher than you'd find over on the mainland Deigo studios, but none I've seen in this fun city has this new and smart wall method to offer, so if you are looking for something to stretch your Yoga horizon, go DEEP & check it out, it's down stairs, with a ocean breeze and there you will find a deeper stretch than you had ever thought possible, you will beleive before you leave! We LUVD IT!

From the owner: Here are some frequently asked questions:…read more *Do you feel as though you can't be active because you have an injury? *Do you need extra support to stretch effectively? *Have you been in an accident and have loss of range of motion? *Do you have stiff joints and muscles? *Would you like accountability to stay active? *Do you need a tailored stretch or healing session that you do not often get in a group setting based on physical difficulties? *Do you feel loss of balance and stability? *Do you feel loss of strength and lack of energy? *Do you wake up tired and sore? If you answered yes to any of these, we would like to hear from you and give you a free consultation to address what your particular needs are and come up with a tailored program just for you.

The studio is clean and light, and they have a lot of nice equipment to use as far as blocks, bolsters, and blankets. I've been to a variety of types of classes here, but most recently I did a deep healing class taught by Tiffinie. It was pure magic and my body needed that. 75 minutes of slow postures that are held for a little bit longer, mobility exercises, and breathing. I will definitely return and I'd like to make it more of a habit to visit the studio. Plus, there's a great smoothie shop next-door and tasty coffee available at the brewery just down the street!

The instruction is wonderful (I learn something new and powerful in every class) and at the same time the teachers leave space for the students to practice at their own pace and adjusting poses to fit their particular needs. This is a very kind and warm community and I look forward to discovering more of their offerings and workshops.

I was staying in Chula Vista during a recent trip down to SoCal, and the first thing I wanted to do…read morewas go to yoga. I dropped my luggage at my friend's and found a couple of nearby yoga studios. Chula Vista Yoga Center had classes that fit well for my schedule while I was in town, so I called it my home studio for the weekend. Signing up for the classes and checking in were a breeze. The studio was gorgeous, and I loved the inspiring wall murals and paintings inside the space. If I was local, I would certainly attend the monthly offerings including workshops, sound healing events, etc. I enjoyed the two classes I was able to take. Both classes were heated, and the teachers were awesome. For my first class I took Andre's Ashtanga class on Thursday at 10:30am. I used to practice Ashtanga regularly, so taking the class was like riding a bike. Andre modified the primary sequence, so I thought it was very accessible to yogis of all levels. The other class I was able to take over the weekend was Jackie's vinyasa flow at 8am on Saturday. She had such a creative, challenging flow and introduced an asana I've never done before. Lastly, customer service was excellent. The two front desk receptionist who assisted me on both days were very friendly and helpful.
