This is a great park for adults, kids, and dogs. Besides a nice fountain and grass area to hang out at, there is also a gym with several machines. There is also a huge playground, made of wood, themed as a pirate ship, where kids can play at. Right next to it is a fenced off leash dog park. This one is for small and large dogs. It's a good size park with plenty of shade and places to sit at. I just wish it wasn't turf. Overall, I'm so happy with the entire renovation. Several years ago, the place was covered with pine trees where the homeless people would stay at. Now, it's a wonderful common area that everyone can enjoy.

Nice park in downtown SD, across from the Children's Museum. Parking is a little challenging and most of it you'll have to pay. But if you live in downtown San Diego it is very convenient. We like to play at the park and then take the kids to the children's museum directly across from the park. Park is good for kids probably 14 and below.

As my kids grow up, we enjoy going to parks that grow with us. This park is definitely fun for kids up to 12 years old. It's a secure park with plenty to offer. On a weekday it's not too busy, but on a weekend it can get quite busy! We love that they have different minds of swings to enjoy. Outside of the play area there is a beautiful fountain to enjoy. There are also a few benches and tables. Oh and there's a dog park too! Restrooms are monitored by security guard who opens them for you. Last time I went there was no soap so have something to clean your hands handy. While you're there, visit one of our favorite restaurants, Cafd 222!

A beautiful park located next to the New Children's Museum. There's several options for children to enjoy. Whether it's climbing, jumping or running. It's clean and spacious and has a beautiful backdrop from any angle. Towering buildings or the Palm trees with the harbor in sight. There is ample free and paid parking and many benches available for use. There is security overlooking the park and the access to the restrooms. I recommend dropping by here if you are in the area and need to let your little ones get their energy out.

The coolest park! My toddler loves it! The ground is squishy to protect from falls and there are a lot of things to do from swings and slides to climbing and spinning. Right next to it is a dog park which my daughter loves to have a snack while watching the dogs play (I enjoy this, too). There are a few picnic tables and a lot of benches right outside the enclosed playground and plenty of trashcans. There's a small green space where kids will play with their balls or cartwheel across. This park really is a gem to San Diego for visitors (like me) and I'm sure residents. There is even a public bathroom with water fountains in the gray and red building right next to it (closed 10p-6a).

The cleanest path that leads you along the bayside the childrens parks you walk past.

Of the many parks that have been here in San Diegp the pine trees thet give the park life the park is now changed with the use of art amd the mamy colors. The childrens park is at the center of the many festivals and the parades that gp along the pacific and harbor drive the childrens park was given a remodel creating a lqrger park. Taking the trolley to the childrens park you can bring your kids and pets that has a seperate arwa for the dogs and the small pets they canrun around. There are some parks that have large statues the color the shape of floating ship that floats above the park. The park has a security building that over sees the park and gives direction close by the Ralphs Store you xan fwt things you need for the picnics. One of the many great things you find the MartincLuther King Promenade the blue water of the fountaons that lead you past to the eternal tprch that is located near the Kansas City Barbecue. San Diego Bayside has a plan tp make many parks that you can brong ypur kids and pets place of fun and the games they have to play and play with their parents. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer tbis is one park that goves you the view of the many hotels this place durring the war the trains serviced the many troops and loadong material.

This park has everything you need and is so fun with the variety of structures to climb and slide in the playground! My kids had a blast and loved how it had some new things you wouldn't find at a typical park, like a circular swing or one that's shaped like a long log. It looked secure as well as there's a gate that you need the enter to get in. With that being said... I lowered the rating not really because of the park itself, but rather my experience. On a Monday afternoon, it was BUSY and super crowded. On top of that, there were so many kids (some not so well behaved) running around unsupervised so the risk of injury for your kid can be high (eg kids standing at the bottom of slides, running behind swings, throwing straw from the floor around etc). It was chaotic to say the least. There are a lot of structures that spin... And I witnessed a kid throw up on the playground. Some of the kids were also hogging things like not getting off the circular swing after a long period. Overall, my kids had fun but going forward- I think there should be some signs around the park with some rules or guidelines to follow if you enter.

Beautiful new and fun play structure and different swings and climbing stuff!

San Diego, CA - what a great park in the middle of downtown San Diego! The playground is big and is next to a dog park where you can also see the dogs run wild. The wooden play structure looks pretty new, and there are a lot of different types of action for the kids, climbing, swinging, balancing, sliding, etc. It also felt pretty safe when I was there in the morning in the middle of the week; I didn't see anyone sketchy wandering around. There are also some cafes and shops nearby, good to grab a bite or a drink after a play session. And of course, the children's museum is just across the street! This and the museum easily can offer a couple hours of fun for a family.

This is a great park for children and adults alike. People complain about homelessness but as compared to the parks in San Jose downtown where I never saw any kid because it was literally occupied with tents...this is an idyllic park across from the convention center, very modern and with cool amenities. A great place to have a picnic and enjoy the views and the people around. I took my inner child for a picnic yesterday and ended up there and she was excited . Everything was super clean and minus one for not being able to see any bathroom.

Our dogs love this park. It's super clean and there's always dogs there in the afternoon and evening so they can socialize and play. Everyone talks about how it's the nicest, newest, most sanitary and great pet owners. We've never had any issues here. All dogs and owners are respectful and great turf.

It's also an amazing place to walk your dog--I bring mine here all the time, and he absolutely loves all the open grass and the variety of paths we can explore. One of my favorite features is the set of stairs that lead up toward the residential areas and the dog park. If you take them all the way up, you're rewarded with really pretty views at the top, which makes the little climb totally worth it. Lately, with temperatures 10 to 19° above "normal average" - or maybe it's just the new normal - it's hard to recall the last time we got to experience a cool day. But here, the way the gazebos, tables, and benches are set up reflects a pretty severe case of denial that this is Southern California, and not quite within walking distance from the beach. It WILL get hot whenever it damn pleases, with or without notice. It did so in February already, in case you missed it. We came a few times for the farmers market. Both days were unfortunately " 80°F" her weather report, which in reality feels like 92°F, and we had to scramble to find a little bit of shade, so that we could eat our street food without passing out from heat stroke. We huddled awkwardly on the curb under a small tree. Other people passing by with food in their hands looked at us with envy. NOT A SINGLE PERSON sat on the readily available benches with tables, because they were in the blazing sun, yet lacked any shade. Never mind an umbrella, not even holes to put one in!! Denial much?? It's really sad, because it's a beautiful place. It just DESPERATELY needs more shade for the visitors to feel comfortable without clinging to trees or the bathroom walls.
