I came here for a Brazilian wax. Now, I get Brazilian on a monthly basis but my current waxer was booked, so I looked for someone with availability sooner and I wanted to experiment with hard wax versus soft wax. A couple of things I didn't like: 1. The wax took a whole hour. My other waxer has me in and out in 15 mins. Quick, clean and seamless 2. Her application seemed messy and novice. It wasn't applied smoothly. 3. I was left super sticky from the wax. Had to clean up myself afterwards with oil. (Which I never have to do with my go-to waxer). 4. My skin was incredibly irritated afterwards and tiny parts of my skin were RIPPED off. I know skin can get irritated after waxing but my skin felt RAW. Almost as if it was burned. I struggled wearing jeans the next day due to how raw my skin felt. I had to stick to loose clothing until the skin healed over the next few days. (Painful af). I've NEVER had that worry or concern of my skin before. 5. When she opened the door, it opens where you can see the waiting area. If someone was sitting there, they would've seen me bottomless. Not a fan of the lack of privacy. 5. There are Buddhas in the wax room. I didn't realize it until I left but it is disrespectful to have Buddhas located in a room where one is vulnerable. The Buddha is not meant for decor. It is a sacred piece of one's faith. You can't even enter a Buddhist temple showing shoulders or knees, never mind nudity. I'm not a fan of spas/yoga studios that use the Buddha as decor in inappropriate areas, such as wax rooms or bathrooms. There's a huge issue with people adopting Eastern culture but not respecting our culture. You don't see Asian spas with Jesus in places of vulnerability. Please stop doing that. It's just WRONG. All in all, Christine is a sweetheart. I'm sure her other services are wonderful but I just don't recommend a Brazilian wax here. read more

I first must say that I've been to different places for massages but the one I got today was by far the best I've ever had! which is Choorna Swedana that uses special cloth bags that are filled with grains and herbs dipped in warm herbal oil massaged with a rolling compression that was soo amazing along with the added extra special foot scrub. This massage was none like no other and is a must try! Christine the owner is amazing with her hands and she offers soo much more! I went for a facial and let her assess my skin and we agreed on doing a facial to clear blackheads, a chemical peel and a massage. Just WOW. The result are night and day. This spa is a great place. Warm, inviting, and peaceful. Christine is wonderful and very friendly. She offers lots of services. My wife and I have both received awesome massages. I had a deep tissue massage while my wife enjoyed a nice relaxing massage. My wife and daughters visit often to have their eyebrows shaped. My youngest prefers waxing while my wife and older daughter prefer threading. I have also had my eyebrows threaded. Men, women, and children are all welcome.
