Wanted a hydration facial prior to wedding Received confirmation I Walked in. The woman asked who I was. She said she already had a 5pm appointment. I showed her the confirmation email. She said "we don't accept online appointments " "Since Covid, the girl who used to schedule online appointment doesn't work here anymore " I asked why is online booking available and why isn't there a notification on website? She said "phone appointment only" . I've seen plenty of websites that specifically state "No online reservations, call for appt". I booked an appointment for Monday, took the day off of work, received an email confirmation, arrived for the appointment and they were closed. From all these great reviews I was really looking forward to my appointment. (I'm sure they're great, but this stung.) I've been going to Tir Na Nog every 6 weeks for a facial and massage for almost 5 years (and occasionally a seaweed body wrap). Dawn gives the best facial I've ever had (the seaweed facial is incredible)!! She is very professional yet a very caring person. The cleanliness of the spa is second to none. Tammy provides a relaxing massage that has helped relieve tension and sore muscles (I prefer the deep tissue or hot stone). I have been a client of Dawn's for approximately 10 years. She is a French-trained professional, and will exceed your expectations with any treatment. I am a fairly "regular" client in that she is the ONLY person I trust to wax my eyebrows. I've been to other places prior to meeting Dawn, and no one takes the care, or has the skill to shape my brows to my eyes like her. Hands down - she is the best! I also highly recommend her facials. Dawn has been my esthetician for the past 13 years. I first met Dawn while she was head of spa services at the now Omni Hotel in downtown Providence, and remained with her while she transitioned into her own space downtown. As a young girl in my teens I had a lot of acne problems with my combination skin. I used every acne product on my skin from Proactiv to Oil of Olay. If the product didn't burn my skin it did little or nothing to penetrate the surface and clean out the gunk. Dawn explained to me in a clear way what products I should be using and how to clean my system from the inside out. She really has an holistic approach to how she treats your face and body. I have tried other estheticians on vacation or in other states, but they really don't compare. My skin glows up to one month after a facial with Dawn. With all the new products and types of facial treatments (and I have tried some), Dawn is still the best. She uses essential oils and products with elements that come from the sea that leave your skin feeling clean and fresh. She is so great she now has my mother and best friend as a client. Her rates for facials and other treatments remain fair and competitive, she does not ever rush her work, and she really, really cares. I think I knew I had a good esthetician beyond myself when I attended an event in Hollywood with other celebrities and they were telling me how beautiful my skin looked and asking me what I had done. I have been seeing Michelle for a few years now, and having followed her from her previous location, I cannot be happier with her move to Tir Na Nog. The use of natural products combined with her extremely talented skill is exactly what I look for when I want a rejuvenating peel or cleansing facial.
