I have never seen that given as a reason before, so I suspect that they KNOW and add you to the emails anyway. I could be mistaken, and it took me a while to learn HOW to unsubscribe in general, so I will say 'my two cents' because maybe this is not everyone's experience, but I am disappointed. If you're that good, why do you have to basically muscle and lie your way into my mailbox? Nothing against your business personally because it seems to be what passes for good business these days.
