When we decided to put a pool in our new home, we did extensive research to ensure we would get a quality product, finished in a reasonable time. So many pool companies in and around The Villages have left their customers high and dry with unfinished pools, so we put in extra time and got references to make a good informed decision. Our original contact person, Liz, was very patient as we described the pool we wanted, and was masterful using the interactive softwareto show us what it would look like once done. She gave a cost estimate which was within our budget, so we signed a contract with them. She gave a realistic timeline, which turned out to be very close to her estimate. We really liked the fact that most all the workers were. BLue Moon employees as opposed to contractors, which gave them more control over the entire buildout. We worked closely then with Pete and Bryan, and both were very communicative and proactive when there were weather delays and such, keeping us informed so our expectations were properly set. That was key to us, as good customer service is almost non-existent these days. Our pool is stunning, and the workmanship looks flawless. it is now complete and we look forward to many years of use. Heads up and be ware !!! I recently contracted and had a pool built by Blue Moon Pools, to be fair and truthful, the construction and scheduling was flawless, the young man assigned to be the project manager Pete, was outstanding, there were a few hiccups as they are in all construction projects, but they were solved satisfactory. The issue started with the so called "Service Dept", Blue moon has an in house pool service that is supoosed to take over the once the pool is filled with water and tested. The service dept Management communication and performance is the reason why I whole heartley agree with the other postings of disatiesfied customer in this site. They have single handed ruined the performance and effort and reputation of what could be a perfectly good and succefull business. Blue Moon is owened by 3 Partners Chris, Joel and Greg (unable to secure last names Customer service/Service refused to provide the information) Greg is the partner in charged of the service dept; a word of advice to the other two partners, your Service Dept is the reason why you get this poor ratings, I would not recomned doing business with Blue Moon Backyard and Pool, and you get a ZERO rating from me. read more

We give zero stars to blue moon. Our problem started the beginning of April. We asked for an estimate to replace the underwater pool light. It's been downhill from there. No written estimate, no contract, non existent customer service and no one with authority will call us back. The light still doesn't work they send bill for new light but I have no information for type or warranty. Employee did return to speak to us but only took pictures of it not working. We have reached out to the office numerous times to get them out to make it right but we only get empty promises of "they will get back to us", with no return call. We keep receiving bills past due bills but again no one comes out to fix the problem. They could've put it in the proper light, but did not. They have a communication problem and will not cooperate with us. There's no other recourse for us we can't get another pool company to take care of the way because they don't wanna step on Bluemoon's toes. Hopefully they'll take us to court and we can sit there and prove what a worthless company they really are. read more

I had retained Blue Moon Pool to service my pool. Initially, everything was fine. That all changed around Memorial day, 2016. I noticed that my pool was starting to turn green and no rain mind you. I told the service guy about the issue he sid he tool care of it. It cleared for very short period of time and for almost a month, I was complaining about the green pool getting greener. About a week ago, the pool was steadily turning greener. I find got the pool guy fce to face and he spent about ten minutes at the pool, stating that he had put something in the pool and that it would clear up. Oh, he told me I had to clean the filter myself after a few days. As a matter of trying to get my pool right. I brushed it and back washed nd cleaned the filter. The pool got greener and after numerous messages, no call back and left stranded for a birthday celebration at our home with a green pool. Absolutely embarrassing. I terminated their so called service at that point. I ahev since had the water tested and there was 0 chlorine in the pool and the PH was off the charts. Now that I have incurred a $200 bill from someone else to correct was Blue Moon failed to do. By the way, when I questioned the pool guy if he had checked the levels. He stated that he had and the the chlorine was high. Again, I had the water tested and 0's came up across the board and off the chart PH. You need to strongly need to consider another pool service before using these people. Terrible and misleading service. read more
