The store is HUGE, the shelves are well stocked, and this facility is very clean. Associates everywhere, which you don't even see in smaller locations; I would know. Not sure when Walmart started upscaling their items but they had Yankee candies, bougie soap, and name brand shirts. The superstar I want to call out today though is Nathaniel, a really sweet gentleman running the self checkout lanes. He has such a nice smile and lovely disposition, always offering to help customers and ask how everyone's day is going he refilled my checkout lane's receipt paper before I could even ask. I wish all customer service associates could be like him; the world would be a much better place.

When I commented to the manager about what a great store it was, he was very appreciative. I asked him if it was a new store. He said, no. I was so surprised. The only thing that showed the store's age was there were no self check out registers. Regular checkout was speedy and friendly. Anyway, you all know what a grocery store is. In some cases prices may be slightly higher, but there are a few departments where I'll only shop at Village Market because of quality and savings. The deli carries quality Dietz & Watson lunch meats and cheeses that are notably less expensive than the other store. The meat department has a nice selection of fresh meats, typically at significantly lower prices, and the store also carries quality name-brand ice cream at very reasonable prices. The savings on those items alone more than make up for the slightly higher prices on some other products. Another thing I really appreciate is how easy the store is to navigate. Unlike the other grocery store, you can comfortably walk down the aisles without constantly having to say, "Excuse me" or "I'm sorry" throughout your visit. The store isn't cluttered with promotional displays and other obstacles that obstruct "the flow of traffic." It's especially convenient when you just want to get in and out quickly. But whether you're picking up a few items or doing a full grocery run, I'd definitely recommend giving Village Market a try.
