I'm really not sure why this store has low reviews. I tend to avoid crowds, especially in Walmarts like a toddler fleeing from wearing clothes, but this was a nice location. The store is HUGE, the shelves are well stocked, and this facility is very clean. Associates everywhere, which you don't even see in smaller locations; I would know. Not sure when Walmart started upscaling their items but they had Yankee candies, bougie soap, and name brand shirts. The superstar I want to call out today though is Nathaniel, a really sweet gentleman running the self checkout lanes. He has such a nice smile and lovely disposition, always offering to help customers and ask how everyone's day is going he refilled my checkout lane's receipt paper before I could even ask. I wish all customer service associates could be like him; the world would be a much better place. read more

Every time I go to the garden center- the plants are bone dry. This is nothing new; as long as I've lived here. All the gorgeous orchids and house plants in the hall- hundreds of dollars worth- dying. It is too bad that the Walmart garden center takes no pride in the beautiful beings known as plants. They throw them all out b/c they don't water them and then jack up prices for consumers. Besides all that, the enormous carbon footprint that is produced contributing to global warming. Go to the local nurseries in town- they care. read more

They have lazy delivery drivers. And they cancel orders at their convenience. They hold on to your money for days so you can't even reorder what they didn't get to you. The online service has become nothing but a joke. DO NOT USE THEiR DELIVERY OPTION YOULL HAVE TO DEPEND ON INCOMPETENT DRIVERS AND ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUST EXCUSES. read more

I'm very pleased with the Walmart pharmacy employees' customer service attitude. And, as it's a very busy pharmacy, I especially appreciate that the pharmacists will leave their prescription filling to clerk when needed, even when the lines are not super long. read more

Can you do a minus on stars? Walmart in Cortez, CO, has one evening service/cashier/assistant (pink hair, heavy set) that is horrible, with a bad attitude. She must not know the customer service motive. , I'll get her name next time, if I ever go back. Plenty of stores to choose from as I travel for business. She acts like she is helping customers, but is rude, and obnoxious. This is the second time she has approached us and acts as if we are stealing. Do better Walmart, Do better. read more

While traveling across country I had a mishap with my phone. I stopped into Walmart to buy a new one. Unfortunately, there was a glitch, and the phone would not work. I had to buy another phone when I reached my destination, SC! I phoned the store manager and after checking, he refunded me my $. He went above and beyond! I am so grateful! I visited the Cortez, CO Walmart Auto Center on 12/03/2016 for a simple oil change and replacing my tires with a new set of four. I waited for 3.5 hours for this simple task to be completed. Not only were the technicians rude, curt, and overall unknowledgeable about my vehicle, but at one point I even had to take it upon myself to call the closest dealership to assist the Walmart technicians in disabling my air-ride suspension. After 3.5 hours of waiting, I paid my $810.00 dollar bill, I left satisfied thinking I had my oil changed and had a new set of tires. However, on the morning of Tuesday, 12/06 three of the four tires were completely flat. I had to drive my vehicle 10mph from Dolores, CO to Cortez, CO and miss a morning of work. They didn't replace my tires pressure sensors properly, causing all of the tires to go flat. AJ the manager has been awesome in making this bad situation better. He has gone above and beyond to help me. He has rented me a car until he is able to replace the existing tires with another new set. The technician did not replace the pressure sensors correctly and ultimately ruined the first set. I am very greatful for AJ and his wonderful customer service. read more

Review for the Walmart Super Center, Not for the optometrist. Walmart Super Center has the worst customer service I've ever had. Asked an employee where and item was and he pointed and immediately walked away from us. Then went to another employee at the electronic section to ask for help with obtaining an item and she was talking to another employee about signing up for something on the computers nearby and just motioned to wait and they walked away.... Two bad incidents within 5 minutes of each other deserves this review in my opinion. read more

This Wal-Mart is generally decent. Just dont trust the Lube and Tire department with anything to do with your car. I climbed under my elderly mothers car to change the oil myself and lo and behold I could not get the drain plug to come undone. So I took it to TWO cerified mechanics, and they had informed me that not only the drain plug was stripped from wrong tool usage ie removal and reinstall, that the oil leakage under the ENTIRE UNDERSIDE of the car was due to them STRIPPING the threads out then putting the RED thread locktite which as it turns out is the PERMANENT thread lock. I now have to purchase an entirely new oil pan and gasket because of this Wal-Mart's incompetence and throwing cashiers in as Lube and Tire techs. read more

This was not bad and was like any other Walmart Supercenter. I came here with my coworker to pick up some things for work. From what I saw, the rows were not messy and it appeared to be clean. The layout of this was similar to other Walmart Supercenters so that would be helpful to people who come to shop at a Walmart Supercenter often. There was also a Subway in the front of this place so you could grab a bite if you wanted to. The bathroom looked clean so that was good. Overall, this Walmart was okay and had what I needed for work. read more

They need to get there ice cream freezers working. No excuse for dumping ice cream which has melted some and now has ice crystals in it. Ice cream should be smooth when you eat it not icy. Quit dumping it on your customers. read more

It's a Walmart like all the other hundreds/thousands of stores across the USA and the world. I like this store though, more than many other ones I've been to in other locations. The employees are mostly very kind and helpful, The store appears to be pretty new and fairly clean. If the lines get long at the registers, the managers open up other ones. I used the auto facility in the left rear corner twice, and had a great experience both times. Also, used the Pharmacy more than a few times, and found the folks working there to be kind and helpful as well. I lived in Florida for many years (Saint Cloud, FL), and the Walmarts in that vicinity (Kissimmee, Orlando, etc...) were zoos. Long lines, rude customers, packed with locals and tourists. You couldn't go there mid-day or you'd be there for hours. read more

Geez, this Walmart is open 24/7. Actually decent produce and other food selection, so great for an alternative to the fast food or so-so restaurants in town. Easy, free parking. read more

Today I had an Oil Change on my 2015 Chevy Colorado at the Cortez ,CO WalMart. I have used the service department there for over 8 years and until today was always pleased with the service. I was advised by the associate when I dropped off my vehicle that it would be ready in 30-40 minutes which fit my time frame for future appointments of the day. I arrived back at the service center at the designated time and waited an additional hour for my vehicle! I was not given any updates and was told that original service contract didn't have the correct type oil on it and I would need a more expensive brand. To me this is unacceptable customer service and I have made the decision to take my business elsewhere. This is unfortunate as I have also purchased tires through Wal-Mart and was hoping to keep them serviced and updated through the local store but will look for alternatives. Lanny read more

I had to kill some time while my car was worked on so I hung out at the nearest place- Wal Mart. I spent an hour here. As a Wal Mart goes, it is sooooo much better than the ones I usually visit in Tucson; it is cleaner, the people aren't as trashy, and it wasn't as busy. There's a grocery, and just all the things you expect and want from a Wal Mart. Aisles clean, bathrooms good. And I killed time eating at the Subway in a calm and relaxed eatery. Plus I was able to pick up lots of items I needed. Wal Mart always has it. read more
