Great grocery store! I was visiting Moab to see arch's and canyon land National parks and needed groceries. When I stumbled upon this place, I wasn't sure how much they would have here or if they would have Gluten Free options, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. They actually have a lot of food and different brands as well as a LOT of gluten free options. This was amazing, as a lot of small business groceries stores don't have a lot of gluten free options, but they certainly did! The prices were also reasonable. Not cheap, but not to expensive. Usually, I go to Village Market for specific items. One of those items has been ice cream because the price was $4.99, considerably less than at City Market. Unfortunately, at some point in the past few weeks, the price of the ice cream I buy increased to $7.49. There may be a reasonable explanation for the $2.50 increase. However, the store provides no notice or certainly no explanation when an item's price rises that much in such a short period. In addition, the employees at the registers just stand there with blank looks on their faces unable to provide any information. I was certainly disappointed. Despite that disappointment, there are still reasons to recommend shopping there. If one is in a hurry to get in and out, Village Market isn't the rat race that City Market is. The store is exceptionally clean and free of obstacles in the aisles and open areas, unlike the clutter in that other store. The prices may be slightly higher, but the shopping experience can be much less anxiety-provoking than one would experience at the Kroger "family" store. read more

Heard they had a decent deli selection and salad bar. I got there at 4pm and all of the deli staff was gone and the pickings were slim in the cold case. Kind of sad as there were quite a few people coming in looking. They did have a single aisle salad bar that had a decent selection but there was probably 10 flys in and out of it the entire time I was looking at it. No way would I eat any of the meat out of there after seeing the flys land on the chicken. Sushi was decent for the middle of nowhere Utah grocery store. read more

An outstanding store! Everything in the small salad bar was fresh, prices were below what I'd've expected in a touristy area, & the store was spotless, large enough, & well stocked. This is so much nicer than a larger supermarket a few (or ten?) blocks away. read more

Beautiful store and very friendly staff. An onsite sushi chef he makes everything fresh daily in front of everyone to see, so neat! They are quick to open all lanes to ensure no waiting in line which i love. Fresh meat with a butcher on site, fresh morning donuts and hot breakfast plus they sell local produce from surrounding areas. Definitely recommend if you prefer organic, gluten free or vegan, the store is filled with choice and specialty items that you just can't find anywhere else. read more

We asked a different shop owner in town which to shop and we're told want to be in and out fast, go to Village and otherwise the stuff is the same. We went we were in and out fast. And glad of it. The two employees we asked questions were just not nice. Plus prices were high and selection is limited. We shopped again and went to the other market (that starts with a "C". We found such good stuff and saved $22 on out $45 worth of groceries! (4 raspberry pints for $5. Large avocado $1. 1/2 gal milk $1....) read more

There are two markets in Moab basically across the street from each other. One is cleaner and has higher quality produce, the other is cheaper and scuzzy. So, what do you want? Cleanliness and a markup, or floors sticky with spills from the Reagan administration because that's the trade for lower prices? Different people have different priorities. Our hotel was next door & we came here as soon as we got to town in a Tuesday to stock up on snacks for the hikes we would be doing. We got everything we needed & then some for decent prices in a tourist town. Produce was local & priced well for the quality. The prepared sandwich & pasta salad area is a MUST I had the chicken breast & roast beef options during the week & I don't think I can make a sandwich as good as that & I considered myself an EXPERT sandwich craftsman. We visited this market in Moab tonight around 6:30 pm. Picked up things for lunches for 4 days and some other things. The deli was closing down so we inquired about ready made sandwiches and the lady behind the counter was great and told us where to find some. We also talked to one of the stockers about a few things and he cheerfully helped us out. When we checked out Mary the cashier first acted mad that we came to her station, her light was on, no one in line. Then after checking us out she threw the paper bags on the counter on top of our groceries, said nothing and proceeded to check the people out after us. Bagged there groceries and because we were not done bagging our own groceries, she acted mad at us. Not sure what we did to earn her disrespect. I will go to City Market next time we need anything. What should have been a 5 star rating turned into a 2 star. read more

Located next to Moab Brewery. Not too much organic produce selection (just carrots, tomatoes, etc) and fairly pricey. Pros: It was a pretty quiet supermarket with plenty of parking. has most of the other basic goods. read more

If you were to ask me about which grocery store to go to in Moab, this is going to be my recommendation. For several reasons: 1. Kind and helpful staff 2. Well centralized location in the middle of town. 3. Best beer selection including the liquor store. 4. Full Service Deli. 5. Great produce 6. Eclectic selection of health food and normal foods. If I had to complain about anything and not enough of a reason to remove a star, the deli staff is spread a little thin, so make special orders ahead of time if you can. But if you're the type of person who doesn't like to support big chains and would rather go to a local company, this is your place. Everything that whole foods misses and city market doesn't have. **several reviews complain about the prices, but you get what you pay for and ultimately if this is important to you as it was to me, the beer is cheaper. I'm always down for the small, down home grocery stores and Village Market definitely fits the bill. This cute little market is located in the same strip as Moab Brewery on the south side of town, and despite being small town, it's still a modern market. There's more here than you think. You could do all of your shopping here each week and probably not find too many things they don't sell. Get real fancy, however, and you'll have to shop elsewhere. Being in a tourist town they have an ample junk food selection and cold beverage variety. Head to the back of the store for the latter. Big props for them carrying some local products. I noticed in the dairy they have a local milk, and a note from the dairy farmers wishing everyone a Happy Holiday season and thanking their customers for the business. Down in the cheese area there was another local dairy represented, this time in the goat category. Way to rep for the locals, y'know? Parking is plentiful and it's a really convenient place to pop in for a few supplies for the next day's adventures--fruit, granola bars, trail mix, jerky or other bike/hike/4x4 needs. Village Market has decent selection plus the store is very clean, well-lit and nicely staffed with some great folks. Check-out line is very fast. In my experience, Village Market has a high mark-up ~ some of their prices are ridiculous compared to City Market or even Natural Grocers where I live in Steamboat Springs but on the other hand City Market, across the street, is a total zoo ALL the time (huge, easy to get lost and not that clean or all that nice but selection and prices are very good). In my experience, I think of Village Market as a great place to pick up a few items at convenience store prices. VM is medium sized grocery store, has lots of gourmet products plus need-to-have products; but, if you're trying to save money at the grocery store, you might rather opt for CM. If you just need a few things and want to get in & out, Village Market is great. They both have their purpose. read more

Nice supermarket in the heart of MOAB with a lot of healthy options, like organic produce and organic food in general. They respect Covid-19 recommandations and have sanitizer at the entrance. Nice staff and a lot of choices inside, nothing is out of stock. Our favorite stop at Moab to stock up, and be ready to climb! read more

I stopped by the Village Market just to pick up a few items. I was impressed by its cleanliness and good variety of local Made in Utah items. I was most impressed by the prices not being inflated. Small local market with everything you need. Initially I tried City Market & was turned off by the mayhem inside. Village has it all in a quieter atmosphere & the service was much more friendly & personal. Their premade options were great. I can't believe I went to the zoo that is City Market when this grocery store was just across the street and awesome for our visit to Moab. We got a healthy meal, they actually had a wonderful salad bar and taco fixings with chili, so we got some decent food into us without spending a fortune. People were friendly, and they had everything we needed. Sure, they are not as big as the zoo, it's a smaller selection but it was still big enough to do all of your shopping and the products were great. And you didn't have to fight through people blocking the aisles and huge lines. Definitely will start here on our next trip to Moab. read more

I had a custom-made sandwich here (rye with roast beef and veggies). I came here because Pantele's was closed, and I was craving a sandwich. The nice lady behind the deli counter made a huge sandwich for my sister and I. There was so much meat in each sandwich, we couldn't eat much for dinner. This market looks nice but two issues. First, beware of the ATM machine next to the customer service counter as it is highly likely that my information was stolen from that machine. I had not used my debit card in months and within 48 hours of a withdrawal from that machine I started getting fraudulent charges on my account. I informed the manager and he couldn't have cared less. What a jerk! Second issue, check the dates on your purchases.
