This store was supperrr clutch for me. Minutes before walking in, I spent about 150 bux on camping supplies at a neighboring store (pocket knife, bungee cords, bug repellent, etc). And after finding most of what I needed at City Market Food, was able to go back and return the majority of what I got from the previous place! Talk about bang for my buck! I loved how they have a large variety of organic fruits, tons of delicious cheeses, 30+ different snack bars. I left the place fully STOCKED for a 3 day solo canoe camping trip and couldn't be happier knowing I get everything I needed in one trip. read more

Stopped in this city market to get dinner after a day in Canyonlands/Arches NPs. They have some good dinner deals at the deli that I like so I was able to get a piece of chicken and a couple of sides for less than $10. It's a fully stocked grocery store so they have everything else you might need as well which is nice to have if you need something when passing through (or staying in) Moab. read more

Feels like a Safeway but it's call Krogers instead. But it's got ice, ribs on sale, corn on sale, lots and lots of water, chapstick, foil, everything! But no Pokemon cards. But that's ok. Most Safeways also don't carry Pokemon cards. They even have wood. Tho the wood is outside, near the gas station. But it's cheaper than getting wood at the KOA. And they have reasonable Starbucks prices. Solid A. The store ambiance is actually pretty good. Looks new. read more

The florist worker is the most absolute worst i have ever seen and have ever been treated. Funeral coming up and they were rude about it, putting themselves first. Told us that maybe they would get them done. What's worse is my family is worried about leaving a review because they are afraid they won't get the flowers that they were told they might not get any way. The City Market in Moab has got to be the worst store in Kroger's line-up. Dull, messy and unorganized. Never, ever enough clerks on registers. Forced to use automated check-out machines that are GARBAGE. Employees are constantly outside smoking -I call it "running the cancer gauntlet" when entering the store. This establishment is constantly under stocked and understaffed. $10.00/pound for ground beef? Really? STOP RIPPING US OFF. read more

I have placed three online orders for pick up and two of them were incorrect. I am missing a total of $12 worth of items and it is very inconvenient to drive 30 miles back to the store to get a refund. Also, they need to pick out produce better. I got tomatoes with mold on them. I do not recommend pick up at this location at all. They are terrible. read more

The bakery never answered my phone call, so went there in person to order a bday cake and was told "everyone had gone home for the day". Next morning called early and was told that it takes them 3 days to fill a bday cake order. Really??? Not the quality of Kroger or City Market I am used to. read more

We were here over spring break and were pleasantly surprised by how neat, well stocked, and organized this grocery store is. Moab being so rural, we didn't expect much. But City Market has its own gas station, and the supermarket part is huge, complete with hot prepared food area. We stocked up here for our breakfast and lunch for hiking the next day. read more

When I travel, I'm more of a grocery store eater than a restaurant type. There are many exceptions, but this trip was a holiday weekend getaway and we were doing a lot of hiking, so we just wanted to have portable food or easy meals. We rolled up to City Market, where I have purchased many a meal in Moab, and were looking for food we could prep the next day on Sunday. This town closes down many restaurants in winter and especially on Sundays; we don't like to eat out on Sundays anyways, so it seemed like a great stop. Well, we hit the jackpot. They have a very attractive hot deli case with loads of sides and fried chicken and the like, and we were able to snag a bunch of items on clearance as they were trying to get out of there for the night and everything went on mega sale. The green beans we got are going to be the thing of legend. It was a massive carton for the incredible price of.... drum roll please.... fifteen cents! Initially we just went for Sunday food, but when we spied the clearance stuff we grabbed the beans, mac n' cheese, and an 8-piece fried chicken meal. All told, we got yogurt, fruit, salad, carnitas, and the aforementioned deli case items--that's five meals--for around $20. Now, this is not typical. But also, don't sleep on the Moab City Market when you're in town. Yes, there are some great restaurants (our breakfast burritos on Monday were pretty legit) and I've had very swanky meals in this town, too. But when it comes to value and stuff you want to take on the trail, they've got a full grocery store that will get you through. read more

Stopped here to pick up some essentials while we were visiting Moab Utah for the weekend. Basically a Kroger. Same selection of items that Kroger has. Roughly the same price is maybe a little bit more expensive because it's in a resort town. You can use your Kroger card to get discount prices on items that are on sale. A little tight but that's because they don't have a lot of space to work with in the store. read more

We asked a different shop owner in town which to shop and we're told want to be in and out fast, go to The other market (that starts with a "V") and otherwise the stuff and prices are about the same. We went to V--age Mkt and we were in and out fast. And glad of it! The two employees we asked questions were just not nice. Plus prices were high and selection is limited. We shopped again and went to City Market. First thing an employee asked if he could help me find something. Wow! That was nice. We got to talking and he said they are usually very busy with lines up the aisles sometimes but they move fairly fast. We were shopping about 9pm and it was quite empty:) We found such good stuff and saved $22 on out $45 worth of groceries! (4 raspberry pints for $5. Large avocado $1. 1/2 gal milk $1. T-bone for $10.99/lb and it was delicious. A large head of butter lettuce $1.25). So, yeah. There are two markets in Moab basically across the street from each other. One is cleaner and has higher quality produce, the other is cheaper and scuzzy. So, what do you want? Cleanliness and a markup, or floors sticky with spills from the Reagan administration because that's the trade for lower prices? Different people have different priorities. We visited each market once during our time in Moab. If there had been a third trip, it would not have been a return here. read more

Friendly staff (except for the deli counter). Place is always busy. Bakery items sell out fast. Most other goods seem to get restocked in a timely manner (except the beer cooler and that could be due to other supply issues and not staffing). Overall this was a great shopping experience in Moab. The store is big enough to have just about everything. Great produce, bakery and fresh meat section. Many affordable and not so affordable options (whole foods, cleaner alternatives). Can't knock the place for the customers. Moab being a more tourist focused area you get a wide array of people coming through on their vacay to pick up food. From young to old, slow moving and practically frantically running. If you don't let the other people bother you by their judging eyes, you should have a great shopping experience! read more

We did most of our own cooking while staying at an Airbnb in Moab. Do you want cilantro? No way jose. Fresh garlic? not on your life Giuseppe. only 2 types of sausages to choose from? You bet! Stopped in for groceries this afternoon and found almost everything we needed. Compared to our Publix in FL things were a little pricy. They had everything except wine. Sara looked but no luck. The store was busy and pretty clean. I also fueled the Jeep while here. The service isles were very clean and organized. The window washing fluid and the window scrubber and squeegee were good to go. Another large grocery in Moab. City Market sold Kroger branch which is akin to Fry's grocery in AZ. A nice organic section, plant based "meats" and the usual grocery items found in most stores. This grocery was super busy. 50% of the people had masks on. I got a yogurt. Parking lot. read more

If you've never been, you will find that this is actually a Kroger brand store. They've got tons of Kroger store brand items, so don't forget your discount card! I was surprised that the deli carries my favorite, "Boars Head" branded cold cuts. Only the best!!! Yum Yum. I did order a sub at the sub counter and was disappointed to find that you can't really build your own sub. They have a sandwich board you can choose from and the "fixings" are predetermined for you. I asked if I could make my own and they said, "yeah, well no, but yeah." HUH?!?! Because there was no one behind me, she was kind enough to let me pick what I wanted, but, was certainly not happy about it. Also, they were out of white rolls and only had oat-wheat. UGH..., its 10:30 am, didn't you just open? Things to note about this store. They are open late, 11pm! They sell basic forever stamps at courtesy counter, but no post card stamps. With limited grocery stores around Moab and even less open till 11 pm this store became a frequent stop for me during my visit. With a wide selection of items here chances are they have a little bit of everything. Large produce section with a wide variety of fresh items. My favorite department was the deli, I bought boars head pepporini, Swiss cheese and honey roasted turkey... all so good! The deli employee was super nice insisting that I try everything before I bought it to make sure I was happy with my selection. The bakery area however was a little small and limited. I did get a very tasty croissant to make a sandwich with. Love how they have area with plastic silverware, condiments and sauces to accompany a great sandwich. Snacks are super affordable here, $1 for a bag of large chips. I stocked up on food, soda, beer and other needed items. I also purchased stamps here and mailed stuff out. City Market is owned by Kroger so their rewards card will work for savings here too. If in the area this is a must stop! read more

Place has big sale signs - when you buy an item snd they don't give you the sales price you ask about the sake and they tell you that you need the "card" to get the discount and it's real small in the big sale sign. The worst part, when you ask a staffer they talk down to you as if you are ignorant. I was very mixed on my experience at this grocery store during my recent trip to Moab. Pros: Good selection of items (for instance selling soda flavors I can rarely find in NH and also having the gold monster energy drink which I can't find most places). Cons: Self Checkout: The self checkout was very complicated for it often would take a bit to accept cards however most of the cashiers working the self checkout would be helpful. Paper Bags: While I do appreciate the store caring about the environment, I wish they would choose an alternate to paper bags (such as reusable bags) because these would often rip and become quite heavy. Certain staff members: While most of the staff I encountered were nice and friendly (There is a very nice cashier named Laurie who was at the self checkout last week) there were 2 staff members who did not exactly show great customer service. On august 10 I was at the self checkout and encountered a cashier named Bernadette. Back home the stores we have don't really have a self checkout so I had never used one. While I was scanning stuff I wasn't sure how to do it, instead of teaching me how Bernadette came over and snapped at me for how I was using the self checkout. At the grocery store I work at the cashiers and baggers are very respectful to the customers. So after the scanning thing, I was paying and I accidentally froze the card reader. Bernadette came over again and was like "Dammit you broke the machine." and sounded really annoyed. After the whole card reader incident, my sister was bagging my groceries for me and Bernadette ran up to her and was like "Stop playing with the bags!" Last I checked she was just helping me bag the groceries, not doing anything malicious. She really needs to mind her own business. Then a few days later I returned to the self checkout and a cashier by the name of Jen was sitting there complaining about the customers to another worker. She was like, "it makes me so angry when people go to the self checkout without knowing how to use it." I was struggling with the self checkout and I don't know if it was intended at me or just bad timing but I was rubbed the wrong way by her comment. Where I work if I'm going to complain about a customer I'll at least wait until I'm away from other customers and especially the customer in question. Luckily the other worker decided to help me with the self checkout without making any inappropriate comments. Prices: The prices in Utah are not very good tbh. There was tax which I do not see in New Hampshire. Besides all the cons this was an ok store and it's saving grace was it's great selection of items and having mostly good customer service. read more

Wasn't impressed with the staff. I saw an elderly lady trying to figure out how to wrestle a case of water into her cart while a young man employee acted like he was busy and ignored her. I put the water in her cart for her and gave the boy a rude comment. Same attitude checking out. It was as if the clerk guy was doing me a big favor by ringing up my groceries and not bagging all of them. I stopped a lady that looked like a manager on the way out and asked her if she was a manager and she said "only a front line manager, not the grocery part of the store. I'd fire the lot if it was up to me and hire people that need a job and would darn well have a good attitude. read more

City Food Market is a good grocery store. People are very friendly and helpful. It has a Starbucks!! It also has my favorite ice cream!! Cado ice cream!! Folks it's a good thing our cooler plugs in and you put it on freezer mode!! I filled up my freezer and took it home to Tennessee!! Yup that's right! Cross country folks!! I needed toiletries after a 4 day paddle trip and was able to get them all there and in travel sizes and standard sizes. I left my phone charger in my night one hotel in Moab so bought a new one and they had them here too which was nice. read more
