Do you like lavender? Come pick your own! They make it easy and fun! Lavendar lemonade is available in a super cute lemonade stand. You can also get regular lemonade but why would you? It's a little strong so my husband asked to cut his with more ice water and they happily obliged. I enjoyed mine on a hot day. They have plenty of shaded seating. They also sell flowers and plants and wreaths. There is a gift shop with a small selection of lavender themed gifts. You can get a ton of beautiful photos- it's a magical place. read more

If you love lavender and happen to be drinking your way through Walla Walla wineries, Blue Mountain Lavender is a worthwhile stop. It's a beautiful little farm amongst the gorgeous countryside. Blue Mountain Lavender Farms is doing something truly special out in Walla Walla. Its a simple concept --a small U-pick garden out in the Walla Walla foothills with about 10 different kinds of lavender. Walk out to the garden and pick out your own wicker basket or colorful plastic garden basket, grab a pair of scissors, pick your flowers, and come back and tie a pretty ribbon around your bunch. Then afterwards, reward yourself with a free glass of lavender lemonade out on the balcony overlooking well tended gardens. This is a great place for a family outing. My 7 year old was over the moon --it was the ultimate little flower pickers destination. Five stars at the height of lavender picking (June usually) and a great alternative to wine tasting in Walla Walla if traveling with your family. Hard(ish) to find, but well worth it (just follow the signs and don't be afraid to drive down a dirt road) and well worth a visit. Highly recommend adding this to your Walla Walla experience, especially if traveling to WA wine country with kids. read more

This was a bit of a drive out for us (~2 hours) but we had to come here since my boyfriend LOVES lavender. It was easy to find and there are signs to direct you once you are in the area. Parking has always been easy too. We tried coming the year before only to find out that the lavender had already dried up due to the abnormally hot summer. The shop was still open but we weren't able to pick any lavender. We finally were able to pick this year! You grab a basket and shears and head over to the fields. It's not as big of a field as I thought it was going to be but still a nice size and there are so many different varieties! There are signs listing the name of each type and what they are good to use for. Because it's self-pick, you can customize your own bundle depending on what you're looking to use the lavender for (cooking, essential oils, decoration, etc). If you have a bee allergy, I would definitely BEE careful (I couldn't resist, haha!) since there are soooo many bees pollinating everywhere. You can literally hear a hum from all of the buzzing. There is a cute little gazebo-ish area at the end of a field which is nice to catch some shade after picking. But man, the sound of the bees in there was so eerie too! After you're done picking, you return the shears and basket. You can tie your bundle(s) up with the variety of cute ribbons they provide and then head over to the shop to pay. The shop has a variety of lavender products including cooking ingredients, pillows, lotions, and soaps. My boyfriend got a little satchel of lavender for his car when we first visited and it still smells so strong (in a good, impressive way) if he shakes it a bit to release the oils. The staff are so friendly and it truly makes you want to come back. They also have free, self-serve samples of refreshing lavender lemonade! I didn't try any but my boyfriend said that it's perfect for a hot, summer day and especially after picking lavender in the fields. They also offer some classes on how to make lavender wreaths and wands. The classes are outside in the shade and look like they would be so relaxing. Plus, as I mentioned, the scent lasts forever! Definitely check this place out. It's such a unique experience and it almost feels magical with the beautiful view, friendly service, and tranquil atmosphere. Walla Walla is such a unique city with great restaurants and great people. It's a shame that it's not more famous...but then again, I guess that means less crowds for those of us that do know how amazing it is (: read more

Sooo many amazing lavender products in their gift shop! If you struggle with getting something for mom for mothers day or her birthday (as I do) This is definitely the place to shop. I'm pretty sure all moms like the smell of lavender but...I could be wrong. The you-pick is such a nice little addition and such a wonderful business model. They also had a cafe truck and their lavender lattes we sooo good! If you like coffee definitely grab a hot or a cold drink. Be careful of bees though. They aren't that big of a threat as long as you don't harm them, they won't harm you. Just have to keep your cool. read more

Very pretty & a must see if you are in the Walla Walla area. The only thing that I must say is that if you want to buy something in the boutique bring cash!! Tried using my card but they use an apple device that you hook up to their phone & swipe BUT it must have internet connection which when I went they did not. I had to put my stuff back & didn't have a chance to go back to get it before we left town. Want to try the classes they have & you must try the lavender lemonade! read more

My daughter got married this weekend and we used the BlueMountain lavender farm French mixture in bamboo cones to throw at the bride and groom as they left. It was perfect. It smelled so good it was on the ground and as it got walked on you could smell the lavender. It was delightful. If you have not been out to the farm, you need to check it out.
