When dealing with an online furniture company, youll understandably have reservations about placing an order for items that you haven't seen in person. And even though the prices are ULTRA competitive, let's face it, they are by no means cheap. Tom understood this and stayed in communication with me whenever I had a question or concern either via text or email. He updated me on new inventory with pictures and links. Answered follow up questions quickly. He even worked with me on delivery as I had issues reserving the freight elevator in my building. The delivery guys were professional, careful, and courteous. They assembled the pieces and discarded the trash. The furniture itself is amazing quality. I HIGHLY recommend anyone in the DFW area strongly consider DFO as an option for furnishing your home. You will be glad you did.

I initially contacted them on Friday and Tom was very quick to respond to my email and talk me through some selections. I placed my order online a couple hours later and he had me scheduled for delivery Monday morning. Part of the reason their prices are so low is that they don't have a huge amount of inventory sitting in a showroom. This had me a little apprehensive since I wouldn't have a chance to try the chairs out first or see if I liked one of them in my house before buying 8. Tom offered to have his guys bring the chairs over, assemble one, and bring it in to see if I liked it. If I wasn't satisfied with how it looked in my dining room, he said he'd just take them all back, no problem. So that worked out great and put my mind at ease for the online purchase. The delivery process was also very smooth. They called in advance of heading over like Tom said they would, then assembled the chairs outside in the truck to avoid getting styrofoam bits all over my floor. I will definitely look to Dallas Furniture Online first for my future furniture needs.

On the sale side working with Evan, I loved the quick communication over text and the detailed invoices to review. He was always available for my questions or change updates. My only issue was there was no actual signed contract for our big project. This made my husband and I uneasy at times, but Living Modern has an amazing showroom that is not going anywhere anytime soon. But, boy, when that 1 out of 10 times hits, it's because I've found something really amazing at a fraction of the cost at the main store. For example, I paid thousands of dollars to the main store for furniture from the Tate Collection, and I found two more pieces to add to it at the outlet for around $200. This is high-quality, mid-century-modern furniture designed by this really awesome guy named Blake Tovin. The outlet's furniture might have minor wear and tear from being in a showroom or being returned by a customer. The sales staff ALWAYS points out any nicks or dings to me before I buy a piece. You can't return things to the outlet, so it's a demonstration of integrity that they want you to see what might be flawed, so that you aren't duped. Sometimes, however, there are absolutely no flaws, and you're buying something in perfect condition. I have been lucky in that regard. A bookshelf I bought had one scratch from where a sticker was stuck to it and had been scraped off. That scratch, still, would not have been discernible to me or someone walking by. Anyway, great sales staff and a great store for hunting for a bargain.

I ordered a living room of furniture three months ago from Crate and Barrel (Ali was my designer). The furniture was picked up a month ago (mid April) by Fragilepak - the company that Crate and Barrel uses to deliver the furniture. Since then, it's been a complete lack of communication. It's been a month since the furniture was picked up by the logistics company. And after 4 calls to the logistics company, they told me to have Crate and Barrel reach out to them to address the many issues with my order (damaged merchandise, lack of communication from Crate and Barrel) along with it just sitting in a warehouse for the last month. I've contacted Crate and Barrel multiple times over the past month (both via email and via phone). They've basically taken a hands' off stance and told me to deal with FragilePak. I'm absolutely livid with the crappy service from Ali and the team at Crate and Barrel. There is still no resolution as of today and nobody at Crate and Barrel is lifting a finger to fix this shit show.

On this day, for whatever reason, the guy working was incredibly unhelpful and rude. At forty minutes before they close he refused to help us citing it was "too close to closing time" and to come back tomorrow if we really wanted to look. I was shocked. If I had my things for sale in this store I would be upset by that. Anyways, they lost a few customers that day. And we weren't the only ones. As we were coming into the store a woman, who seemed very upset, was walking out after an exchange with the same man.

They also have yard sculpture pieces outside that I did not look at. They have good prices on some really good looking cabinets, as well as doors of all kinds. We have a older house, and so will be slowly renovating. DHW will be our first priority of places to come to for that vintage look, as well as the current stuff. Maria was very nice to show me around, and we were stunned at how much stuff they have.

I sent an inquiry to A&A and received a very enthusiastic reply saying my chairs were great and as soon as I agreed , she would send over the consignment form. Pretty standard. 50/50 split, but if she sells them online she charges you the consignor another $100 fee. But oh and you have to deliver the pieces to them. They have no delivery or pickup infrastructure in place. What kind of furniture store doesn't deliver ??? I explained in email that my chairs will not fit in either of our vehicles ( and I will not crush them in to make them fit ) and I got ... crickets. No further replies. This store wants no hassles , just bring them the stuff, then they rob you of half the value plus and then make the buyers pick up! Crazy. Plus the quality of items they sell is questionable at best. See a photo of these formica hexagon tables that are chipped dirty and frankly look sourced from a thrift store. So given that they want nothing to do with handling their stock ( my stock essentially ) why would I entrust my chairs to them? Since writing this Erin has sent two emails to get me to change my review.

The other day the store had a collection of beautiful Chamcha wood pieces from Thailand I believe (I could be wrong but I know that they are imported), ranging from dining room tables, chairs, end tables, and even mirrors. I bought one of the mirrors and I love it! I love the entire collection and wish I had room in my home to take every piece. The best part about Nadeau is that the inventory is fairly priced. At similar stores like Crate and Barrel, West Elm, etc., the prices are often inflated, yet the prices at Nadeau, while not exactly cheap, are far less than what you'd pay for similar items that are mass produced at its competitors. You won't feel ripped off at Nadeau, and you'll leave the store with a one-of-a-kind or rare piece as well. Nadeau also has great smaller items that can make for really nice and unique gifts in the $20 range. I really like Nadeau and I see that it's the type of store that you stop by on a rotating basis just to see what new items are in stock because the selection constantly changes.

I did not get the opportunity to meet the owner, Jessica, but if Sharon and Mike are any reflection of the owner's attitude, you are in great hands. I purchased a Nest candle (some of my favorite candles) for a birthday party I was attending later that evening. It was not by any means an expensive item, but I was still treated like a VIP. I immediately felt at ease, and was able to enjoy the beautiful showroom. I wanted to take everything in there home with me, but alas, my trust fund is non-existent. Don't get me wrong, you can find plenty of great gifts and items for your home that won't break the bank, but also the finest of linens and home decor items should your budget allow. I will definitely be returning for gifts, and to treat myself to a special something for the home.
