Our June rebate check BOUNCED. 2 phone calls to Blue Raven have not resulted in the check being made good. They say now that our August rebate will include a replacement check. So it's taking 2 months for them (allegedly) to fix a bad check? I was recommending Blue Raven to anyone who asked. Now I'm losing faith in them. read more

We had Blue Raven, now called Sunpower install our panel system. All went well with the install and power production was very good. Part of the contract was that after the first 18 months, Blue Raven was to send us a monthly chech of 43.94 to help with interest on the loan payments. The first year was fine but for the past year I have had to call at the end of each month to ask for my check. I am supposed to recieve them during the first week of the month. Every time I call I get the same answer, "it has just been approved and will be out within the next week". I did not call one month just to see what would happen and I never recieved that check. This is not the same company, (morally), I started with. There is no way I would recommend Blue Raven, Sunpower or whatever they call themselves now to anyone. They are getting a lot of advertising from me but it is not the kind they would like. I put my 2 cents in anywhere I can, with friends and neighbors, blogs even public bulliten boards. read more

The "free" solar panels are not available in NC. BRS is harassing me daily to set up an appointment, which is not free and is very expensiv. I honestly made the mistake of filling out a web survey to find out if NC is one of the 11 states that is getting free government funded solar panels and my information was pushed to BRS which has an appalling track record here in NC... I have blocked their phone calls and unsubscribe from their emails.. read more

I contacted Blue Raven too get a quote on solar. they gave me many excuses why the couldn't do that including they had a problem with Apex net metering and permitting..I spoke to the town of Apex solar permitting person and was told apex is one of the easiest to get a solar permit plus they don't charge any permit or other fees. as for the net metering he said it's a standard so that issue was also BS. read more

A man representing Blue Raven approached me in my driveway tonight, and after giving him my first name, he wanted to know phone number and email-of course I didn't give that- AND if we are at home during the day, if we have children, and was just plain creepy. When he asked for my credit score, I asked him to leave the property, and had to call the police when he would not. The 800 number is clueless as to where their representatives are working. BEWARE! ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE STARS! I will try to be brief. We installed solar panels on our home years ago and when our roof was replaced Blue Raven came to remove and reinstall them. We thought all went according to plan. Some months later after checking the SolarEdge app we realized our solar production went down. I contacted the company and they confirmed that some panels were not reinstalled properly and were not producing energy and after a $150 service fee the repair work, they sent someone out to check the panels. THAT WAS IN MAY 2023! It is currently January 2024 and we still do not have full production from our panels. We have had technicians come out been told a myriad of things from, the panels not being hooked up correctly, to the panels being non-functional. The company actually ordered new panels that have been sitting in my yard for over a month, followed by a new tech person coming out to tell us our panels were fine and we didn't need new panels at all. So, aside from the hassle of constant rescheduling and the cost of not having full production on our panels, let me get to the reall issues. CUSTOMER SERVICE. The company call center is based in Utah, so they do not operate on EST. So I always plan to call when I know they are open. The reps are pleasant enough but are unable to contact the actual technicians in real time. Everything is on a delay. They always promise to call back once they have heard from the technician and the consistently DO NOT! I have called and talked to the same person on different days and there is no explanation about why they didn't call me back. If I didn't call it has taken weeks for them to reschedule a technician to come back out. They only seem to schedule technicians for one day at a time, so we had one come out and say they job was "almost finished," but he would not be back the next day to finish it because the company only "booked me for one day." Technicians have come to our home and left without following up on what they have done (or not done) even while we were at home. When I call customer service they always have to wait 24-48hrs before the tech puts in the notes. We have tried to remain patient but it's been over six months without the correct panel production. Today after my second call I was told I could not have the number for the manager but could request to speak to one. Which I did and was told, it just so happened, that the manager left early for the day. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I would not recommend them to anyone. I am frustrated, disappointed and mostly confused as to how a national company can have such a poor customer service interface. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and exploring leagl options. Very disappointed with my solar installation from Blue Raven. So far, the production has been significantly less than estimated. Cost per kWh with Blue Raven's finance plan is about 20% more than Duke Energy (even after latest rate hikes) calculated with my current monthly production. All in all, I'm paying significantly more than before. Jay, my sales rep, was amazing though, even going as far as to come by on his day off to personally clean up the mess the installers left. Seriously, give this guy a raise, he was the only bright spot in this sour experience. Would not recommend to others, even though that would be the only way to make up all the money I'm losing through referral bonuses. Hoping to break even in 10 years when Duke rates finally get high enough to offset. UPDATE: Blue Raven support started playing the blame game on Duke, who then played the blame game on the panels. They also admitted the panels aren't operating at the expected amount, chalking it up to "margin of error." This is peak daylight hours time of year, if it's not operating now, it's only going to be worse in the winter months. Save your money, go with a different company, this one can't do math. read more

Beware of this company's pushy and misleading sales tactics! I feel that I was misled and tricked into singing a contract with them that led to me paying $1,215 when I cancelled my account more than 3 days after they assessed my home. Their sales rep convinced me that by signing their agreement, all I was doing was consenting to a welcome call and allowing them access to the home for the assessment. It was naive of me to sign it after only skimming it, but I felt pressed to do so quickly. I am also not pleased with the rep because he never mentioned this looming fee to me, despite being in regular contact with me via text, going back-and-forth on whether or not my roof was suitable or needed repairs, and being told a few times that I was still researching and considering options. I've learned an expensive lesson from them. read more

Their representative, Mike, arrived 15 minutes late for our initial informational appointment, with no apparent attempt to email or phone me warning of his impending tardiness. I'd made a special effort to be here at that time, cutting short other important activities. I'm not willing to pursue a possible business relationship with a company that treats prospective customers in this way. I explained this to Mike upon his arrival at 2:15 when he asked why I wished to cancel the 2:00 appointment. More generally, their initial doorbell-ringing contact to schedule a informational discussion based on our past electrical bills should have left us with some printed materials, or website address, to look over the common questions a homeowner is likely to have, in order to be better prepared for the appointment. I'm suspicious when salespeople are stingy with information. read more

March 11, 2022 blue raven installed solar panels in my house. The installers put a hole about 3 inches wide from the siding to the bedroom on the 3rd floor. The installers acknowledged the damaged, took pictures and "patched" it up until someone comes to take care of it. Some guy came April and fixed the inside and was not able to fix the outside, didn't even know about it nor was he prepared for the job. This was after a cancellation due to car issues. I was told someone will come for the outside hole. I had to keep calling to get someone to come back, they finally came out May 19, 2022. This person was also unprepared. He was not aware of what needed to be done, had no ladder, and stated he will have to see what blue raven wants to do. NO ONE has been here since, nor called or emailed. I held back the inspection for this EXACT reason, along with other issues. I spoke to Joshua Hill who is in the inspections team of some sort. He convinced me to get the inspection done and reassured me the repair will be done promptly. It is now June 27, 2022. The inspection was done on June 15, 2022. I have called and just keep being told it's on the work order and the company will reach out. It's funny how this company kept harassing to do the inspection, even got some lady claiming she is in the legal team for this inspection to scare me which didn't work. Now here we are. Now, here I am and no one gives a crap to fix the damage done. I CANNOT power wash my home which needs to be done, I keep getting notifications from the HOA. Since March the hole has been exposed to all elements, rain, humidity, moisture, etc. These elements cause mold and so much other damage. Anyone wanting to get solar, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Even the sales girl was a pain to deal with after the issues. She was all great and dandy when getting the deal, after she put her nose in things that have nothing to do with her nor the business. Horrible service. I had contracted and at the time, I had just installed a hot tub. through the winter before it was installed My bills were higher, so I got a quote from another company which was more panels. about a month and a half before install, I sent my rep an updated bill to which he blew me off saying it was no problem. Then it was installed, and I had to turn it on, connect to enphase and learn system myself.  The rep sent me thermostats paid for out of his pocket, which is kind of shady, and they said they were going to send someone to install which hasnt happened.  They are now saying I have to install 6 additional panels to get to 100% offset. Th rep is now telling me things  like hybrid systems are good, but non of this was discussed before. I also had concerned that the panels are not lined up in straight lines, which my wife and neighbors have made comments, and again the rep blew me off . To me, the rep is either incompetent since I now have to purchase more, or just greedy and didn't care which is why he blew me off. The company has ceased to respond for requests to make this right or remove it and the loan. DO NOT contract with Blue Raven. read more

Stay away. "Swim away" as the shark yelled in Nemo A very lovely college type girl came to our door and was trying to setup an appointment for us to discuss getting solar panels on our house. I'm aware of the scams involved but asked her couple questions re if there was zero money involved in which she replied "zero" and with working with duke energy all costs would be covered. She the. Called into her office for a verifier to acknowledge this was a real appointment. They asked if our credit rating was excellent and if our household income was over a certain amount. I immediately smelled a scam I looked up the company and similar companies reviews and they were all the same. Pretty much overwhelmingly a scam. The girl Wanted desperately to see my duke bill I guess to make sure I was an interested party I refused to get it at the moment so she texted me short time later to confirm the appointment and to ask for my electrical usage on a bill. I texted right back after seeing all the reviews and asked her to cancel the appointment. I didn't hear back from her because I know she just needed to book appointments regardless if people cancelled. So Tuesday comes along and I knew that someone would show up for the meeting. I told the guy that I cancelled this and he then told me that my house wouldn't be a good candidate for the solar panels since we don't face a certain way. Wow. What a waste of everyone's time. I then got a text from someone in Utah asking if I wanted to reschedule my meeting with them since he didn't see that the meeting took place. I simply wrote back "you're kidding me?" It's a high pressure pitched scam. The outside looks great but peeling back the layers it starts getting really rotten. Scam scam scam. read more

Yes solar was quick in responding to my email. However, they are not willing to take on a project if they don't sell the hardware. Currently I have a 11KW system that I needed installed, Blue Raven only completes systems from start to finish. Because of that reason I will not being doing business with Blue Raven. read more

I have had a phenomenal experience with Blue Raven. I signed up on Facebook and met Izz Issa who saw me through the whole process. After signing the contract I was told some negative things about Blue Raven like they are not based here and won't follow up if you have problems. Izz has followed up promptly on every inquiry I've made and there have been a few. I've had different people come for different things related to solar panel installation, like tree trimming, Luis and his crew, and installing the panels themselves, Devin and Eli. Every contractor and each member of their crew and Blue Raven employee have been exceptionally courteous and hard working. During our conversations I have learned they live locally and have worked for/with Blue Raven for years. It has been a great experience and I have and would continue to recommend them for solar panel installation!!! The solar panels look sleek and I'm happy to be going greener!!! read more
