Excellent service and great staff. I needed a headlight replacement and they gave the best price I could find in town and got it done quick.

For reasons I can't fathom, a technician handed my father's keys to a stranger who promptly drove off and stole the car. The staff's reaction was completely apathetic; they offered no apology, no assistance, and no refund for the service he had just paid for. Because of their actions, my father had to go through his own insurance at great personal expense to replace the vehicle. Worse, the thief is actively driving the car, leaving my father to deal with the ongoing nightmare of toll charges and traffic tickets arriving in his name. If you value your property, avoid this establishment at all costs.

I found out they Lied about needing a new alternator and belt when we just needed a battery. The mechanic did not even place all the mounting bolts back on the "new" alternator and gave us a used up belt that looked like was about to break. Just crazy. Then, a week later we suddenly our muffler started making loud noises after driving through rainy condition and has never stopped making noises since. Before going to the shop our muffler never ever should signs of potential leaks. The people charged me $2000 dollars for a used alternator and a used belt plus a suspect battery. I even told the manager Adam that we were a family of six with 4 young kids and do not have a lot of money yet he still heartlessly screwed us over and his mechanics basically made our Van almost unsafe to drive since we must not worry about carbon monoxide poisoning if all windows a closed. These dishonest people are truly evil and should never ever be trusted to take care of your vehicle. Over charging for a job and then messing up you car is just criminal!

Normally, service is quick--maybe a ten-minute wait. This weekend, though, it was very busy (understandably, since we got our first snowfall and everyone was rushing to get their winter tires on). The chaos wasn't from the volume of cars, but from how the manager was handling the line: he had everyone start and stop their cars every five minutes just to move forward a single spot. Back out, pull in, inch up four feet--repeat. I ended up moving my car seven times. I get the intention--preventing people from cutting in line--but constantly having multiple vehicles shifting around like that is dangerous and a liability nightmare. A simple solution? Hand out numbered slips (1-20) as customers arrive. When it's their turn, collect the number as their car enters the bay. You could even laminate them to reuse! At one point, I saw a couple get visibly frustrated with the poor attendant directing traffic--because honestly, the process made no sense. It's not the employees' fault, but management needs a little more training and this system really needs a rethink.

Ben from Dixie-Bloor Service was very friendly on the phone when I called for an appointment. I arrived the morning on time and was greeted quickly and was told Ben would be with me shortly. After speaking with Ben and leaving my contact info, he told me it would be about an hour and I'd get a call with a full estimate after he had performed the inspection. Ben called an hour almost to the minute later with my estimate and a recommendation that other work I had asked him to perform was not necessary at this time. This is why I keep going back to Dixie-Bloor. They are friendly, quick to respond with a truthful appointment window, and will not perform work if it's not needed. On the phone call I asked him to look into another regular maintenance job and since it was on the lift, if he could he might as well do it also. He was so helpful and accommodating that even though it was a very busy day and it was unscheduled work, he kindly performed the extra task. The work was done earlier than quoted and I went back to pay and I brought a case of 12 cold adult beverages in tow to show my thanks. Can't say enough good things about Dixie-Bloor Service. I'm very glad they are in my area. -Dale
