Top notch service! From arrival to departure everything was fantastic! These guys are professionals through and through. They grab your stuff from your car, load up your boat, shuttle you down where you can watch how easy they make it look to launch a boat, and once you text them that you're ready to come back, they are waiting with shuttle to bring you back up the hill unload your things, take off the trash, and load everything back in your car. Oh, and give popsicles to the kids. Really it was seamless and everyone was so nice. We rented the Godfrey and it was a great boat. It was fast enough to do the max speed I'd want my kids tubing at. Everything went amazingly well. We were at first hesitant since they are not on the Marina. But they were the most organized group of workers. And so kind. We were on the water at 10:10am. We were supposed to arrive at 9:45am but did not get there til 9:55. If we would have arrived as they asked we would have been on the water at 10:00 as planned. That is how proficient they are. The entire experience with Blue Ridge Boat Rentals was excellent. We arrived in the parking lot and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The check-in process was quick and easy and the staff loaded our cooler and bags onto the boat while we checked in. Matt was out primary guide/contact and he provided some boating tips and gave us an overview of the lake and some recommended spots we might enjoy. We did rent a tube and our kids had a lot of fun tubing. There were also plenty of beautiful spots to anchor and swim. When we returned at our designated time, the return process was equally as smooth. Matt came aboard and we hopped off for the transportation back to the office. Once the boat was back at the office, staff took off the cooler and bags for us to load back into our car. I do recommend everyone watch the videos and sign the waivers and agreements ahead of arrival. Pros- The people are very nice and helpful at the rental facility. Lake is clean and has a cool rope swing. Cons- rental is overpriced for what the lake provides in your experience. Takes about 2hrs to check the entire lake out. 1 restaurant on water. I recommend just doing a half day you can explore the entire lake, tube for a hr or so and grab lunch. Thomas and his family were outstanding! They delivered the Titan to our rental house. It was fully gassed and pristine. He gave excellent advice on where to go on Lake Blue Ridge, including the status of publicly available docks and scenic spots. We rented this boat for my husbands 25th birthday and had an absolute blast! We paid a little extra for a packed cooler and tube and it was totally worth it! The team had great customer service and went above and beyond. Upon arrival at check in, the team loaded our boat with all of our belongings, set us up with some life jackets and then drove us to the ramp (1 minute away from the check in location). We were very impressed and pleased with this experience and look forward to coming back next summer and many summers to come! It was a lot of fun and the staff are so friendly, patient and helpful! I thought they went pretty above and beyond when I accidentally sucked up a rope into the propeller... they had a mechanic come out on a JetSki and maybe 15 minutes, and the dude actually swim under the boat with a razor and cut it out right there in the water and we were back boating in no time. We rented a pontoon with a captain for our bachelorette trip. The entire staff was super helpful and so much fun. Made sure all of us were comfortable and accommodated our every need. Our captain Braxton took us to the rope swings, took us all around the lake, and made sure we were set up on our lily pad. He was an extremely safe and patient driver, even saved us from a pesky hornet that wouldn't leave us alone. Very Happy with our experience at at Blue Ridge Boat Rentals. Rolled up at 4:30pm and was worried we were too late to tube. Luckily, Charlie the owner was there and told us to hop on in! The rapids were a bit big at some points but nothing too crazy. The setting was gorgeous! It only took 45 min. The headrests and cup holders in the tubes , with a closed in bottom made it. Be prepared to wait at check-in and at crowded boat ramp for launch and return. Equipment was in good working order. We really enjoyed seeing the lake on the SeaDoo. We waited for 15-20 minutes for other boats to launch or load up. Then we waited another 15 minutes for a ride back to the check-in area even though there were several empty vehicles that looked like they were returning. Was surprised that tip percentage was applied to rental charge and fuel. read more

My husband and I decided to we wanted to cruise the lake last minute. Blue Ridge Boat Rentals made that easy. We rented a Jet Ski and couldn't be happier. The equipment is well taken care off. The receptionist and dock attendant are very nice. The prices are affordable. I am only giving four stars because I feel the refueling fee is a bit much. I understand paying for the fuel used however an additional $25 just for someone to stand there and pump the fuel is a bit excessive. read more

It's amazing how individuals who don't know me or my family can attack us for something they don't know of but have only seen pictured. It's just like the Covington boys or any other social media pictured that doesn't tell the whole story but only the narrative of that being pushed by the liberals. They don't know that I agreed to pay for clean up and to re-fill the gas used. They saw pictures of mud left behind and I agree the boat was muddy. But not $500.00 worth. The facts are: They repeated called us disrespectful - yet (1) upon return the attendant gave us attitude, (2) I have requested an itemized bill which I have not received. One of the early comments stated that a car rental company would charge you to clean up and yes they would, they would also provide an itemized bill, (3) When I called the "owner" to resolved the issue, he told me what he was going to do and hung up on me - you call this great customer service, (4) if the "owners" took so much pride in their water craft, then why did they not repair the ripped cushions and removed the mildew from the cushions, (5) at the time we did not realize it but the water craft had an inop fresh water dispenser. Had it been working we could have rinsed out the watercraft, (6) When my daughter called the office to see what the "incidentals" would be she was quoted $100.00 plus refueling, (7) now that I have given this company a one star, all of their friends and family are attacking my family - let me ask is that any way to run a business, you be the judge and finally (8) Those who did attack my family stated and I quote, "go back to Florida we don't want you up here", "trailer-trash", and several others that I will not mention. Again those who attacked us, make an "ass-u-me" because they believe we were tourist. Oh you bitter people we are your neighbor, in fact we know one/some of you and completely understand your remarks. I only wish you would stop being a key board warrior, let's go sit down and have a cup of coffee and discuss something you have no knowledge of. So, again RENTER BEWARE because if you return the boat with normal wear and tear of all day boating on the lake, you could lose your security deposit. And then if you have anything bad to say, the family and friends will attacked without knowing the whole story - talk about "Cancel Culture" and in Blue Ridge of all places. Sad very sad read more

Rented 22' pontoon this weekend, Sunday 14th, and requested a tube for kids. In summary, the product/service doesn't align with the price. The boat/tube and service fees and taxes was $744.90. First thing I noticed was that the boat they gave us was beat up, looks like a lot of damage to it occurred at some point. The innertube was small and was very cheap, kids didn't like it. We swapped it out but that took 30 minutes out of our rental time. This boat didn't have a depth finder or blue tooth. Radio worked but you cant get any decent stations. Also, there is no bathroom to use when you arrive and staff points you to the public bathroom at the loading doc. My wife and kids couldn't even go in it, due to the waste everywhere on floor etc. I was also shocked that on top of $744 they added another $25 for gas and another $25 to put the gas in it. They also charged $60 for the anchor ripping off the rope, due to old connection. This day cost me around $850. Not worth it to me, we will be going back to Marina from now on. I usually rent from the Marina, and only rented here due to conflict in schedule with Marina availability. The Marina boats are new and very nice. Stereo has blue tooth, depth finder, and come with nice new tubes. Their price is much cheaper as well. I usually get a 22' pontoon, they are all Bennington and really clean. Their price is $475 plus tax and $60 fuel. You're all in, with a tube, around $650. There are no additional charges. For $200 cheaper you also have better experience. read more
