Tip Top came out Thursday and very quickly had it set up exactly where I wanted it. Keep in mind, I had to have the table and chairs set up myself (took me and a friend all of 45 minutes to do it). When it was time for them to pick up the tent, they moved like ninja's (LOL), I came downstairs Monday morning to find it was all gone. Perfecto! You can't go wrong with this company. The indoor area has certainly gotten some upgrades - great for the all-year-round crew, for sure. The most confusing thing about the arcade is that it uses a credit system that varies largely from game to game on what it's going to cost you and what it's likely to pay out. I'm sure this is the whole point of them taking your money -- the house always wins -- but I'd prefer to know how much one credit really cost me and how much a game really is. Not that the kids care when they've got their card though. Hoping next summer some repairs are finished and we'll have a better time.

Given that half of the go-kart attractions were now unavailable, I approached the sales desk and spoke to a young manager named Keira. I asked if we could receive a rain check to come back on a better day. She pointed to a notice on the wall and informed me, "It's our policy. The fine print states that we do not offer rain checks or refunds due to weather." I expressed my disappointment, as I feel it's unrealistic and unscrupulous to expect most customers to read fine print on the wall before purchasing tickets. In my opinion, businesses like this should consider more customer-friendly policies, especially when a significant portion of their attractions are uncovered and entirely dependent on the weather. While others may have their own opinions, I personally won't support a business that lacks flexible policies for paying customers when their offerings are so easily affected by conditions beyond anyone's control.

We had heard about it from a friend and wanted to check out their all day crafting event. It was amazing! The spot is a renovated old pub now turned craft/music/hang out room geared toward events for the community. As we walked it the hallway opened up to the big room with various crafts happening at each table. The walls are a really fun brick with various unusual Decour and light atmosphere. It has the vibe of a very cool coffee shop or funky music venue. There is a Bar area where they often have snacks and Echo Effect items for sale Like T-shirts etc. We had reserved a space through Facebook Messenger ahead of time and thus went straight to the painting area. The event was relatively priced for the fun atmosphere and painting class we received. The teacher Dawn Adams did an amazing job taking her time to interact with everyone and giving us multiple options for each step. It was really relaxed so we were able to get up and get snacks go to the bathroom and come in and out during the training. They had stain glass, jewelry making, quilting and other things going on at different tables which was fun to check out as well. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon and we will definitely return. The best way to check out options is to go to their Facebook page and look at upcoming events. Next time will probably check out one of the cool new Shelbyville food spots to round out the event.

We bought it and as we walked around the convention, we stopped by this lego booth (itsablockparty.com). I apologize, but i dont remember the name of the lady that helped us, but she was AWESOME; she was incredibly knowledgeable, and helped us beyond what we could ask for. We showed her the minifig of ursula, and the lady noticed that the trident was missing, and the hair was wrong. We looked up the minifig online, and she was right. My wife was so disapointed that we spent a good amount of money, and some shady lego dealer scammed us. Seeing how upset my wife was the lady at the display for (itsablockparty.com - sorry again that i dont remember your name), told us we could swap our incorrect minifig with the right one from her. That blew us away with how nice that offer was, we didnt expect it. I tried to offer her some extra cash on the side to get herself lunch, and she wouldnt take it. We had some people who signed at the wrong location so we had to get them signed up first. The people working there were very helpful and patient with this, but they do need that waiver first. And, they only do online waivers, no paper. After that, we went to the armory to get our safety discussion, our rifles, and masks - some of our group have their own equipment - that is okay, bring your own if you have it. Then, we went out for 4+ hours of fun. It started with a training session and then moved to more two team challenges. The fields here are excellent. Some have buildings, old cars, shipping containers, boats, campers, tires, and more and more and more things in the fields. I hope to be back soon!

Since we had planned to eat lunch out after the movie we skipped the refreshments today. We came to see "The Boy and the Heron" from Studio Ghibli. If you are unfamiliar with Studio Ghibli, they produce high quality Japanese animation full length feature films dubbed in English with A list actors such as Christian Bale (he starred in Howl's Moving Castle, a huge hit of theirs) in today's feature along with Dave Bautista, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, Mark Hamill, and Robert Pattison. Studio Ghibli hasn't made much lately so it was nice to see their return with another good one. "The Red Turtle" (2016) is another good one of theirs that's been on cable channels lately. Coming out of the theater I noticed there were very few people so I guess people are still getting their last minute Christmas shopping done.
