But the Board and Directors have to start choosing better quality shows. I know purchasing the rights to a show is expensive but I'd rather see four quality shows in a year than several subpar shows. Today we left at intermission the show was so bad (Musical of all Musicals). We have never left early before but this show did a huge disservice to all involved.

I agree with others that their snack selection could be a little more varied. I love their popcorn and either get a big gulp of Coca-Cola or an Icee. And I also agree that the snacks can be a little expensive. But since I don't come here too often, I don't have a problem with it. Also, use the Cinemark app. You can earn points to get rewards, such as discounts on snacks. The theater is pretty clean for the most part. Occasionally you will sit in a row with a sticky seat or carpet, but I guess that is to be expected when people take snacks in and get excited watching a movie. Service here is fine. I've never had a negative experience with it. This movie theater is fortunately close to where I live, which I just love. It's also in a nice area. You can hit up the nearby Starbucks if you want to hang out with friends after the movie.

My husband and I rented the Chico Women's Club for our wedding reception on June 9th. We met with the Club's event organizer, Sara Rose, to find out if it would be a fit for us. Sara Rose was friendly, honest, and professional. After we chose the Women's Club to be our venue, Sara Rose kept in contact with us --- answering any and all questions that we had. One of our concerns was who would clean up after the event. Cleaning in a wedding dress was the LAST thing I wanted to do. However, our family and friends cleaned up the decorations, and Sara Rose offered to clean the rest for a very reasonablel fee. The Women's Club was the perfect wedding reception venue for us. It was very affordable when compared to other venues in the area ($750 for the entire day), and it was close in proximity to our ceremony location in Bidwell Park. With its hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and hanging chandliers, the main room required litle decoration. The Women's Club also offers a stage which we took advantage of with our choice of a live band, The Decades. The patio area in the back gave those who wished to converse in a more quiet location an opportunity to do so. The garden foliage behind the back patio coupled with our hanging lanterns and cocktail tables gave the space quite a festive feel. Finally, the kitchen area was a great asset for our catering company, Bacio's. I would reccomend this venue to any couple who is on a budget, yet is looking for a relaxed and fun wedding reception.

But I can imagine it can be a hassle when the college is in session on a weekday or when a school field trip is on site. There are two exhibit rooms, a hands-on science room, the display hall and a small gift shop. The exhibit rooms change every few months. My school age daughter really liked the hands-on room. Wish that room was a little bigger. There weren't many of us there - maybe 3 or 4 families, but it was crowded. Overall its a nice family museum for Chico and the price is decent ($13 for a family of 3).
