We love this movie theater. It beats the big city, fancy theaters in Vegas, NYC or our city (SF) bc the parking is so easy and ample and even when it's busy, it's comfortable and calm. They have great matinee deals on Tuesdays (happens to be my day off each week) so I find myself here whenever I'm in town. The problems I have w the bigger cities movies, is that they're too big and crowded for me - and way too expensive. The prices here for the concession stand are very reasonable and the staff is so friendly! The bathrooms are really clean and have a lot of stalls, so unlike the big cities, I'm not ever waiting in a long line to use the restroom. The vibe is so relaxing, fun and comfortable. The last 10-15 years, whenever I go to the movies in the bigger cities, it kind of stresses me out lol -like, order tix online to be sure to get a seat or pick your seat online etc. I'm just over it and love how this reminds me of going to the movies when I was little in the early 80s. It's just a simple, well priced, good time. And even in the heat or cold, the parking is so close to the place that, unlike other places, I don't have to battle the elements and walk hella far fr the parking spot to the inside lobby. And inside is nice and small too- the big city theaters have become so huge it's so much walking and waiting in lines. Staff attitudes in the larger theaters are also not great, whereas, we've been coming here now for 5 years and are always met w the friendliest staff. I love this theater. read more

My wife and I have now come to this cinema 2 times. The first time, the staff was incredibly rude but we just let it go. This time, I'm writing this review as the movie is playing. The audio has cut out now 3 times. It is a very popular movie playing so I would assume this just wouldn't happen. I also want to mention how incredibly expensive their snack bar is. A small popcorn is $7? This isn't an AMC or other big movie chain. It's Oroville, CA. Even their drink prices are on the higher end. It takes 2 minutes to google how much they charge and spoiler alert...it's 700% of what they buy their supplies for. Overall, not a great experience. I'd rather go to Chico's movie theater and enjoy no audio mess ups, comfier chairs, and an overall better experience. Also just want to mention that I know of at least 3 people who've had their cars broken into at this establishment. Absolutely insane. read more

The owner happened to wait on me at the entrance. What a very nice experience. Kind, patient, helpful and friendly. He did not rush me to make my popcorn, extra butter. Gave me directions to fountain bar. Just a very nice person. Theaters were clean and comfortable. read more

FIrst time here at Feather River Cinemas in Oroville California. This is almost across the street from Walmart. My friend wanted to see Dungeons and Dragons with Chris Pine. Omg..worst movie ever! We almost walked out twice due to total boredom and a confusing storyline. The theater itself was clean with comfortable seats. We went to the 1220 show and we were the only ones in the theater. They no longer provide free refills of large popcorn. They have senior discounts and deep discounts on Tuesdays. The popcorn was good. It made up for the worst movie ever! They have a small video game area as well. They have several movies playing in this complex. The entry was clean. One of the bathroom sinks was broken but overall it had been cleaned prior to opening. The two empkoyres were cordial. Jeremy the manager was very professional ! I don't live in Oroville so I probably won't be back. Just remember they have discounts on Tuesday ! read more

Sold us tickets online knowing the theater was closed due to a ongoing power outage. Still selling tickets online as of yesterday and the theater was still closed due to the same power outage. Excellent theater to go see a matinee mid-day on a weekday! No crowds. They have tightwad Tuesday where the price is a buck less, but prefer paying a buck more for less folks! First time here and I went to see Interstellar with a friend. I have no idea what projectors they're using but they lack a lot of detail and had odd colors here and there. For the most part I didn't notice but I'm used to seeing the theater in Chico which never fails to be consist. Since I live in Chico I'd never go out of my way to go here but it was convienent and had the time we could make. read more

Always enjoy this theater. Never difficult to get in even for new movies. Clean and friendly. As for the gentleman that commented about people on cell-phones...that is happening everywhere. If you point the offending person out to staff, they will give a warning and then hopefully remove them if they can't control their addiction in public. Great customer service, although it's a bit run down. This theater is overdue for some serious renovations. Usually encounter sticky floors when finding a seat, just kinda ruins the experience for me. Nothing like newer theaters in larger cities. read more

My husband and I really enjoy this theater. We choose to attend the matinees (1:00 to 6:00 p.m.) so it's inexpensive ($6), even for star attractions. The price for a ticket after 6:00 p.m. is $8.50, and the price on Tightwad Tuesdays is $4 (not for star attractions). We are quite spoiled; we can choose our seats and not have people sitting right next to us! In addition, it's clean, the staff is very friendly and it's right here in town. We have friends who live in Marysville, and they drive to Oroville to see a movie rather than drive to Yuba City and sit in overcrowded theaters. :) I would suggest to Amanda that she not attend movies here since the patrons don't meet her standards; she should return to Culver City immediately. And Alexa should most certainly drive to Yuba City and attend its overcrowded and more expensive theaters. It's unfortunate there are no movie theaters in Live Oak. :) read more

Oroville's only movie theater. All movies are $5 on Tuesday, which is awesome. Decent arcade and snack selection. Seating is relatively comfortable and what you'd expect from a movie theater. No complaints here. read more

I grew up going to this theater. It will always be my favorite even though I moved away. It was the best for such a little town.

Decent theater. $6 for a matinee and $4 on select movies all day Tuesdays. Clean enough, other than the patrons.... You get what you pay for here. A movie. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Take a look around the town and neighborhood you're in and that should speak for itself. read more

I have been going to this theater since it opened. It's clean, employees are very helpful. I have a mobility problem and have had to skip popcorn and soda because I cannot carry both and use a cane. Nicholas solved that problem, he escorted me to my seat and carried my refreshments for me. When the movie was over he was there to assist me coming down the stairs. I will start going to the movies more often. And as for people using cell phones, it didn't happen. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

Clean theatre but I always have to deal with people texting on cell phones. I guess it is not disruptive for some but I can't really focus on the movie when a cell phone is going off and on next to me. Recently I went to see Logan. Again, next to me a man kept turning on his cell phone. I asked him kindly to use the lobby if it was important business. He didn't answer and paused before putting his phone away. Ten minutes later he got up and went to the lobby. After returning he again pulled out his phone and did whatever he was doing. I tolerated it again hoping he would stop now that he could have the last say. It was not enough. He again pulled it out and continued to text, or shop online. As I got up to leave the theatre I told him again that his phone was distracting. I asked the manager, a female lady, for a raincheck to return another day and see the movie. I explained why. She said it was after 30 minutes into the movie and that she could not give me a raincheck. I explained the situation again and said that I thought the man was going to cooperate with normal theatre etiquette when he left to the restroom/lobby. But then he returned and continued. She did not agree that was any exception to the rules. One of those people I guess. I hope she never works in law enforcement. So, the person who recognizes theatre etiquette must leave the theatre and sacrifice money for popcorn and coke, as well as the movie, because of a rude or selfish individual. I have since gone to Chico to see movies. read more

Good rates for matinee and tight wad Tuesday. Snacks are high as they are at any theater. They do offer a refill on ex-large popcorn and drink. Good movie seclections at times do not choose to show a movie I would like to see that is playing elsewear. Comfortable and clean. I usually attend matinees and never had a crowd. I can choose my seating which is nice. I haven't had any offending people sitting near me when it has been a little crowded. Nice theater! read more

be made aware if you use a card to pay you get charged 1.25 and the "sign" they have is on the side window as your walking in so its not in view and they don't make you aware of it. 9.75 for a movie in oroville is a joke. nothing great about it rather go to chico and spend less money for a movie. also 4 movies on tuesday are like 2 or 3 out of all the movies they have is what you can actually see for 4 dollars. read more
