Spontaneously decided to get a tattoo to represent my time in Palm Springs. Went to a seafood spot and seen this tattoo shop a few doors down. Went to give it a try. It was completely empty. Nice set up, very clean. I decided to get a Palm Tree. Daniel was the artist who assisted me. He showed me the Palm Tree designs he had, and he guesstimated a size that ended up being perfect. After the placement sample I decided to get it. It costed $150, definitely over priced from what I'm use to paying in LA, but I just bit the bullet. It took him about 10mins to get set up. Once he was all set up I headed over and he got down to business. During the actual tattoo I was skeptical because the results were not looking like the initial image I had agreed on BUT the aftermath was nice. Pain was like a 6/10. The shading is what hurt the most. I did ask him to lengthen the leaves a little because I didn't see the full vision. Daniel was personable, the shop played good music. Overall I do like the placement and the tattoo, I do have a few spots that needed more shading but I'm hoping after it heels it is less noticeable. Daniel let me know about aftercare, bandaged me up. The next day the area around the tattoo was super puffy. But I'm sure with time that will go down. read more

My friend recommended going to blue rose for there friendly and welcoming atmosphere. So I took and chance and I've not regretting going. I've already got Two tattoos from this shop. My friends and I had a trip planned to Palm Springs and we wanted to get tattoos. We decided on Blue Rose. Long story short, 3 of us got tattoos from Jimmi. One tattoo was crooked and it was only 3 dots and a couple lines. The other one was a rose and the pigment just wasn't there, faded in several spots. My tattoo was a ornamental piece on my wrist, all line work. My tattoo is faded in the middle and the more I look at it, the more I find errors. I told Jimmi my concerns and he tells me it's going to cost money... even though he's the one who messed it up. I'm not driving 3 hours for a 60 dollar 'touch up'. He suggested I get a new tattoo, why would I ever get another tattoo from him? Jimmi would go on & on about himself with these elaborate stories that seemed made up as well, we weren't interested in them and we just wanted our tattoos since it was taking FOREVER, although we made an appointment for a certain time and waited for 45 mins!!! I also didn't like that he was drinking a michelada while tattooing. I do NOT recommend this place, or at least with Jimmi. read more

Went here for my first tattoo and it was a great experience. My sisters, grandma and I wanted simple matching tattoos and found ourselves in palm desert looking for a good place to go. Not a great experience Went in last night with friends for simple tattoos. Dyan quoted price and we started the process. After two times of him drawing out the lines on my hand I wasn't quite happy with the placement of the lines so I asked him if I could draw the line where I wanted them. Dyan became upset because "He had already spent so much time drawing this out and his buddy (who was tattooing my friends already did two tatts)" not my fault that guy works faster than you. He was upset I wasn't "trusting his craft". I politely reminded Dylan that this was my body and it was gonna be on my hand for the rest of my life. I wanted to be happy with the placement. He kept going on about how he was trying to hook me up and give me a deal, and our truth Dylan I never asked you for a deal I showed you a picture of the type of tattoo that I wanted and I agreed on the price. not at one point while you were first drawing out the lines (before any detail) did you ask if I was happy with the placement. You wouldn't have had to draw out "so many times" if you'd ask me if I like that before drawing out the 3 lil hearts and paw print. The entire time it was excuses why you couldn't do what I was asking for. I Don't regret getting my first tattoo but I wish I would've had a better experience. When you were done you loosely wrapped it in saran wrap - the other artist noticed I wasn't happy with that and offered to place the clear sticker on for me. Not sure if Dyan was told or noticed I needed it covered and offered to cover it. He had some trouble placing the sticker on my wrist, again making excuses the entire time as to why he doesn't use the stickers. I just let you talk Dylan because I think even you realized this was not going well. At the end of the process you explained "I could come back later to have you fix the hearts" again even you noticed ... I hope you take my advise and in the future ask/get more feedback from the client. At this point in my life I wouldn't care to pay a few extra bucks to get what I want permanently tattooed on my body. I wish you luck as you continue to grow at your craft. Stepped in waited for about 10 mins before anyone even acknowledged us. Came in for two tattoos. I can see both artists had someone in their chair. After 10 mins a small young girl walked up to us and asked if we were helped we said no she said an artists chair just opened up and they will be right with us. She made it very known to the whole shop she was "There but not there". After 5 mins she said if you can wait two seconds the artist will come up and talk to you about what you want. 2 seconds turned into 35 mins. I can hear an artist asking someone if they wanted to take the walk in's they said no they wanted to leave so we just left. We had been there for almost an hour without no one really talking to us. Also 80% of their staff looked like they rolled out of bed to be there and they talked very loudly about their unfortunate events the night before. Very unprofessional, unpresentable and unwillingness to help. Went to another shop nearby way better experience from the moment we walked in. Not cool Blue Rose! read more

To be completely honest I don't recommend going this the tattoo shop at all not to sure what they use in the water solution after they clean the tattoo I immediately felt a burning sensation on my arm it was the first time I have ever felt that I have been getting tattoo for over 8 years now never had that not just that not to sure why they use AD ointment on the tattoo in the first place they put so much on after my tattoo it was dripping down my arm very uncomfortable feeling paid 150$ for my tattoo did not feel like it was worth that I got a tattoo down in San Diego and it was cheaper than the one I got in the desert I recommend taking the time to look up another place in the area and definitely do not recommend going to Jay read more

I will share with you my entire experience and hope to hear back from you. I had called a week ago and spoke to el Jefe (eljefes_ink) about getting an Ashley piercing. He told me the shop didn't have the jewelry for it at the moment and if I bought my own he could pierce it for me. I went to a different shop and called blue rose 4 times to ask what size I should get. The guy at the shop I was at was able to get me the correct size anyway. I go to Blue Rose on Sunday the 13 to get it done with el jefe, we clarified it was a 14 gage and he could have looked at the fish hook and made sure it was the same size that was the first mistake. He drew the dot to make sure it was lined up perfectly and then pierced it to the left of the dot. The fish hook he used was too small but he tried to force the piercing in anyways until I started to faint and asked him to stop. He then pierced me again to the left of the dot he made. Tried to convince me it was because the jewelry was curved in the pictures I sent you it's clear he just pierced it in the wrong spot. I took it out myself the next morning. I came back Tuesday July 15 the next day he worked to talk about getting my money back. I would understand if I paid for the jewelry and it was in my mouth but I bought the jewelry and paid 50$ in cash for the piercing. When I came back he said he would not offer a refund but would pierce it again. Why would I want him to do it again after the experience I had the first time. Then @8love_arte4 pretended to be the manager and told me to come today the 17th to get my money back at 12:00 pm. He told me he would meet me I waited there to be met by Chris and Sherry who came there at random and knew nothing about the situation. The guy pretending to be the manager was never going to come and just wanted me to drive all the way over there and look stupid. I was humiliated. Luckily Chris gave me my refund but it was a traumatic experience. I called el jefe asking if the guy was gonna meet me and he told me to stop crying and that it wasn't a big deal. They were rude and unprofessional. He pierced me completely wrong. Told me there was a no refund sign but it wasn't out and he acknowledged that the sign hadn't been out. I really hope someone reply's because I cried at how awful they made me feel and how disappointed I was at the experience. Just look at the photos read more

He charged me $50 to "touch up / fix " something another artist did and he didn't even do what I asked!!!
