You should've refunded the entire cost of my surgery and offered to redo his work. If you care about your feet, I would suggest you stay far away from this doctor.

The doctor used a low tech method of laying wet plaster strips on my feet to get the "mold" formed. When my orthotics came in I was called in to pick up. After wearing for several days I could tell they weren't right for my feet. He sent them back for adjustment. Modifications were continually needed throughout the next several months. I finally received what should have been the "final" corrected version in February 2016 and they still weren't right. At this point I had spent $400 and wasted almost 10 months waiting for them to finally get this right. When I received version 4 (literally 4, but felt like version 345) in February and they still didn't work, I figured it was time to stop trying. I called to request a full or partial refund and they refused to compensate me. Look, I get it. All the revisions and extra shipping to and from their lab cost them money. Everyone at the clinic is very nice and Dr. Yakel was adamant about getting it right. However, while I appreciate them working with me, I'm still without orthotics and now out $400. I never even received an apology. Hopefully I'm in the minority here! One final note. They are REALLY bad at calling people back. The old medical assistant (Andrea) was spectacular, but the new MA missed the boat several times on calling me back. I had to follow up on my own if I expected to ever talk to someone.

He replied "Maybe if I look at the xrays from your 1st doctor" then said good day an left the office. No exam in the examination chair, no physical contact with my foot whatsoever, a complete sham. Worst experience with a supposedly 'seasoned professional podiatrist' I ever received. Or, not received in my case. Sent on the 1st doctors xrays to his office, and Nina said "he can't tell anything from the xrays", why don't you make another appointment and we'll schedule an MRI?" My reply "What? Wait another 6 weeks or more to see an incompetent doctor for more expensive testing, from which he may or may not be able to discern something?" Confidence in Shonka was totally absent by this time- months after the original appointment. Worst treatment from a doctor and his office that I've EVER received! Do NOT SEE this doctor Tom Shonka- he is at best, a hack. To add insult to injury - his office sent me a bill for over $100 for meeting him. I didn't request a 'meet & greet' I wanted a professional opinion and got nothing of the sort, no exam, nothing about any options for treatment, ZERO service and a total lack of professionalism.

I found Dr. Weber to be *excessively* expensive for her work. She's an example of how doctors…read moredrive up the cost of a simple office visit. Basically, she gouges her patients. Her office charge (which is expensive) is for 15 minutes. She took a set of 3 X-rays before she even saw me. My visit lasted 20 minutes and she charged me an extra $100 for the additional several minutes. (I have never heard of a doctor who had such a charge!) I would never recommend this doctor!
