We have seen Dr. Yvonne Weber twice now for a foot and ankle injury that my 12 year old sustained. We've had thorough exams and exceptional care both times, and she's been very attentive in answering questions and educating us. We've also only had very pleasant interactions with the front desk/administrative staff; however, we are self-pay so I don't have any feedback on dealing with billing or insurance. I have consistent pain in my ankles and feet during exercise and normal walking. She took X-rays but no recommendation for physical therapy or MRI. She attributed to diet/Uric acid (I'm only 34 years old) and recommended removing everything from my diet but chicken broth. She also recommended alternative medicine doctors that are not covered by insurance. I'm sure they are her friends that she is trying to give business to. Anyways, I decided to get a second opinion from UC Health foot and ankle specialists in Denver and it turns out I have Achilles arthritis in both feet. UC Health scheduled me for physical therapy and MRIs given the severity of the issues. Her office was run down and she accidentally ripped the soles out of my brand new adidas . Save yourself a trip and go elsewhere. read more

Dr. Yvonne Weber seems knowledgeable and friendly, but the front office is confrontational and rude. I understand that working with insurance companies is a real bother for health care providers, but they could explain the process with more grace. During my visits, clinical staff would enter the patient room to retrieve supplies and leave without a word. It seemed strange - I might have said "I just need to grab a couple of things; the doctor will be with you shortly." Or something. My experience suffered from a lack of communication between the office staff workers. They failed to note my decision to accept their cash price, and held my orthotics casts for three weeks without notifying me. Apparently they were still waiting for me to contact them with this decision I thought I had already made and had communicated verbally. One office worker wants to provide you with diagnostic codes so that you can contact your insurance company and figure out your costs on your own. Another less confrontational office worker was attempting to help by contacting my insurance company and explaining that their cash price is often less than the patient's insurance deductible + copay. The cash price is not available once an insurance claim is filed--if they go through the bother, you're stuck paying whatever your insurance company decides you owe. I have to wonder if they aren't on speaking terms, as I never got the message that there was more paperwork to do before they would proceed to cast the orthotics. The poor communication continued when Dr. Weber offered to provide some referrals, and later emailed me with them, saying "you forgot to pick this up on your way out." read more

New patient? They'll be responsive, get you in, diagnose the issue, and get you on your way. As it should be. Existing patient? Good luck getting a call back. I can't count the number of times I have had to call asking for a refill on a prescription...the same prescription. Mind you, not even a controlled narcotic or even high dose pain medication. Just a low dosage non-steroid anti inflammatory pack. Call the after-hours line? No reply from the doctors. Even the after-hours rep called me back to see if I was called by the office. I was originally seeing Dr. Hoffman, who left the practice and I am guessing took all forms of courtesy, customer service, and quality with her. When I had to come back and get re-diagnosed by Dr. Yvonne Weber, it was a pointless and unnecessary expense. read more

I won't be going back. I've been here and seen a couple different doctors over the years. I'm an avid runner and have been here for injury X-rays and follow up. Will be going to Boulder Sports Medicine next time. The docs rush through the appts and make generic recommendations for shoes from a pre printed piece of paper. Not everyone falls into those few shoes they have listed on there nor do the take the time to understand the patients running and fitness goals to provide a more personalized assessment. I am a healthcare professional myself and found it difficult to keep up with what she was saying (spoke so fast and no real explanation given on anything). Not a fan. read more

Wow I thought it was just me! Before the pandemic I went in for foot pain because Christina and Yvonne Weber were the friend-referred "foot docs" in Boulder. Christina was great as an MD doing diagnosis and discussing possible surgical alteration. However, the imaging appointment was set up at the wrong place by the front office staff, and their non-responsiveness in getting that straightened out caused me to miss my reimbursable year when I had already met my deductible. Additionally, the practice demanded that I agree up front to pay them hundreds of dollars every time I needed a COPY of orthotics. I absolutely expect to pay for the service of measuring my feet accurately - I don't plan to sign up for a "residual" contract. (Cast-for-your-foot orthotics are available for about 125 online. Search urthotics or treadlabs for example) Office hostility/errors...will I bother going back to see if it's any different now? Nah. read more

As a new patient I arrived for my first appointment 10 minutes early and ended up waiting 30 mins to see the doctor. After waiting patiently for 25 mins I asked the receptionist if the doctor would be ready soon and she rudely responded that she'd check. While I was waiting, I heard somebody behind the desk talking to a patient loudly and aggressively over the phone telling them to go to a different doctor. The customer service here is far from excellent however the doctors are very knowledgable and helpful which is why I gave them a 3. I wish they weren't so rushed but I felt like I received good advice for the problems I was having. read more

I really like my doctor here. She takes time to explain what is going on with my feet and that is a lot of explaining because both my feet have serious troubles. She takes time to explain the foot exercises, massages, ice treatments and also makes a list for me for the kind of shoes I should wear. An overall good office staff even though their patient interactions and interpersonal skills need some improvement. *Nasty* practice manager that has made my experience of Boulder Valley Foot & Ankle Clinic one that I would never repeat purposefully, nor will I recommend the practice to anyone. While Dr. Yvonne Weber was thorough and answered my questions, she also nickel-and-dimed me, including foot taping that I didn't request and then to pay for the tape she used. Went back to have custom orthotics casted and she literally stepped out of the room so that the assistant could run my credit card - in full - for the orthotics to be made. This is a huge difference from Dr. Jachimiak's office (also in Boulder), who charges half up front and then half at collection/pickup of orthotics. The practice manager was aggressive in collecting a bill that wasn't even overdue. The office is bare bones, with nothing nice about the waiting room, save for a couple of newspaper articles from athletes they have helped. The receptionist was the one who drew me into the office, with patience and answered a bunch of questions when I first called, but then, each subsequent visit or call that she fielded that niceness was gone! Barely disguised impatience at the last call I made about wondering when my orthotics would be in. If you can, visit another podiatrist's office that is not cultivating a staff where money is the ultimate goal and not treating the customer. The doctors are behind the entire atmosphere and the practice manager they are employing. read more

My doctor was great, she took time to really help me understand what's going on with my foot and promptly scheduled my procedure to fit my needs. So far the procedure has really helped & I'd recommend her to anyone. So why only 4 stars? Some of the staff can be a little too abrasive & feel overly comfortable interrupting medical appointments with trivial bookkeeping activities. I was nervous to be going to a pre surgery consult as it was, certainly a coaching opportunity for compassionate care. read more

Keep in mind with this review, like all the others on this page, that for someone to go out and review their doctor, they likely either really like them, or really don't like them... probably not much in between. Otherwise, they are just a doctor. I have low expectations hwen I go into a doctor anyway, so I'm pretty easy to please. I expect to not be called back into the room until a bit after my appointment time, and I expect I'll likely be left waiting there for a while before the doctor comes in. I think thats fairly normal and I'm fine with it. I see Dr. Hoffman here, and she's done four separate toenail removals for me (two toenails, twice each...) and I've always liked her. She seems nice, we have some nice chit chats about running and running shoes and such. The nurses have always seemed nice and do a good job with the initial numbings, etc. so I give them credit for that. read more

Excellent service for helping correct a new tendon issue which showed up while running. Dr. Weber diagnosed the issue right away and got me a set of custom orthodics. Now running I have zero pain post the orthodics. Highly recommended. read more

The doctor will NOT see you now. I made an appt with Dr. Yvonne Weber and when I arrived was told I could not see the doctor until I filled out a lengthy online form on my health history even though I am an EXISTING PATIENT. The staff could not find my login info and when I finally signed in on my phone their website was not compatible. After waiting over half an hour I was told the doctor could not see me. They are more concerned with saving the few dollars it would take to upload patient histories themselves (they said they had my paper file but that wasn't acceptable nor could they access my online BMC records with all the needed info) than they are concerned with patients' well being. I was seen by Yvonne Weber early 2018 for a foot injury that had stuck around longer than anticipated. She was friendly at first but did not seem to have any diagnosis for my problem. After explaining the specific injury that happened, her response was to try orthotics in my shoes, and suggested my injury had occurred over time. I explained the injury was from a specific moment where I rolled my foot on a gym floor, but she prescribed me some cream for a pharmacy and said try that. Once the cream didn't work and it had been several months, I contacted her to say she did not fix my problem and I'm dissatisfied with her diagnosis, she responded "you appear frustrated, therefore recommending you seek care at another clinic." I was appalled a doctor would not try to fix a patient's problem, and instead try to send them somewhere else. Do not go here if you want your injury to be taken seriously. read more

Doctor Hoffman is a good qualified doctor. She saw me through several fractured tarsals. She has since left the practice. The front office, however, dropped an appointment on me. I scheduled the appointment weeks in advance. When I came in the day of the appointment, having taken off work to do so, I was told they had cancelled the appointment but had not notified me for some unknown reason. They need to replace or rehire Doctor Hoffman and improve the front desk. This is unacceptable. read more

When I arrived for my first appointment, two women were working on the computer at the reception desk; it was clear that one was teaching the other how to use a new system or software. However, it seemed that neither had been taught customer service, as neither acknowledged me when I signed in on the clipboard and sat down in the waiting room. Some minutes later, one of the women read my name off the clipboard, and told me without looking up, "I need a copy of your insurance card." No "Hello!" or "Welcome" or "Sorry both of us completely ignored you when you walked in." A few minutes after, to her credit, she did walk out from behind the reception desk to return my card to me and explained that the other woman had been teaching her a new program. (Still no greeting.) I waited 26 minutes to be seen. An unapologetic and aloof MA took me to an examination room, asked me a few questions, and took x-rays. She seemed humorless and not especially happy in her role, but I suppose her work was adequate. Though the bar had been set pretty low, Dr. Hoffman was the most professional person in the office. She looked at my x-rays, asked me a few questions, and examined my foot before diagnosing plantar fasciitis. Her job finished, she left. The stoic MA then returned to tape my foot and give me a packet of information to help me treat my PF. I thanked her and she left without bidding me farewell or good luck. A few weeks later, I needed a refill for an Rx. I used the patient portal to contact the office, and they responded quickly to let me know that they would call in the refill. When I went to the pharmacy a couple days later, I was disappointed to learn that the refill had not, in fact, been called in. The pharmacist then faxed a request to the doctor's office on my behalf, and I followed up with the doctor's office via the portal to request it again. Without an explanation for the oversight (and certainly no apology), the staff person assured me that she would take care of it. When I called the pharmacy a couple days later to be sure the Rx was ready for pick up, I learned that the doctor's office STILL had not authorized the refill. Naturally, I contacted the doctor's office a third time and was told that the doctor had had a family emergency, so she was not available to authorize the refill. (Isn't one of the benefits of working in a practice with other doctors that if one is unavailable, another can pick up the slack, especially for a simple matter such as authorizing a refill?) I am disappointed and put off by the consistent lack of professionalism and follow-through and will not return to this practice or recommend them. Two stars for Dr. Hoffman's firm handshake and correct diagnosis. read more

I came to see Dr. Yvonne Weber due to chronic pain on the balls of my feet. I really appreciated her in-depth review of my x-rays and explaining what is causing the pain. I even got in to be casted for orthotics on the same day. I was really impressed with the (new) front office staff, who were friendly and approachable. All in all a great experience. Be very careful with billing. Went in their with pain due to an ingrown toe nail. Was planning on just getting the one fixed but when I was told the procedure was going to be covered under the copay I decided that I would get my other foot done as well. A month later I received a bill for over $400. Both my wife and I were in the room when the doctor had told us that it would be covered under the copay and we both were amazed when the doctor denied and said with a 100% certainty that she didn't say that. I found that unbelievable since she hardly remembered me on the phone. read more

The doctor was helpful and nice but the office staff was not very personable. Be careful of their billing procedures. They really sock it to you if you use insurance charging the insurance company more than double of what you would pay for cash for orthotics and then making you pay the difference. I wouldn't recommend them. read more

Let me start by saying - the docs in the clinic are fantastic! Yvonne Weber really knows her stuff, is in tune with the climbing and running community, and is very friendly. Her office staff is a nightmare. I've actually thought about complaining to the medical board about their highly unethical billing practices. They lie about amounts, 'forget' that you have paid deposits up-front, and are rude and condescending when questioned. You can certainly get better service in Boulder. read more

I don't give out 5 stars easily having worked in healthcare 30 years but this practice was a breath of fresh air. The front desk was attentive , knowledgeable and welcoming. The MA was really good at her job. I miss having RN's do the set up etc but Dr.Weber's MA was incredible. I say that after having a shot in my foot which was so much less painful due to her technique. I saw Dr Christine Weber and found her delightful again considering the was removing part of my toenail,ugh! She told me what needed to happen, why and ansewed all my questions. Her MA was doing a set up when the time for bandaging came and she thought nothing of doing it herself as to not have me wait. The instructions for care were printed out and gone over thoroughly. When I called with a question the answer was answered right away and help given! Many of my other practioners look rushed and stressed and make you feel like they hardly have time to listen. Not the case here. The reason good doctors run late is because their patient needs them. They took the same care with me as they did with the person before me who also needed a little extra time. read more

I had my big toenail removed by Dr. Weber. She told me it would be healed within 2 weeks. She obviously never bothered to read my file and when I told her I had Neuropathy really bad in my toes she said it would not be an issue. After the first week it looked like it was infected so I called. I was told she wasn't able to see me for 5 days so I should call my primary care. I called my primary doctor and he told me that was completely unethical and she should be ashamed to tell me that. When I finally got back in Dr. Weber said she would take care of it. Oh and that infection well actually she burned me badly with the solution to kill the nail. She had left the solution on to long and it burned my skin. The burn then turned into an infection. She cleaned it up and sent me home saying she did not need to see me again. This woman has no follow up at all. It has now been 7 months and it is still not 100%. A procedure that she said would take 2 weeks to heal has taken me 7 months because she burned me. Do not ever go to this doctor she does not care, has a horrible staff and she does not do after care and follow up. They use a patient portal for you. Well at first I thought it may be good, but it has now deleted me 3 times and they expect me to keep filling out all the information to do it over and over. They have a system that is not user friendly and worse the Doctor does not even bother to read it. The patient portal is a huge waste of time. I will not be going back. read more

The appointment went ok, but they sold me Frelonic orthotics for $70 that I went home and found on the internet for $29.99. No wonder why they tried to sell me the orthotic without the packaging. Very disappointing!! read more

Even the nurse noted Dr M Goldman was more crabby than usual, and he spent most of my apt time complaining about the Dragon dictation feature on his computer. He, however did not want to spend any time listening to my concerns about my foot, but did briefly examine it. The radiologist alerted the Dr to the fact a bone was broken in my foot after the Dr had left the room, but Dr Goldman declined to return to the room to discuss this problem as he told the radiologist the 15min allotted time with my apt. was done. I did not even know he had left the room for good as there was no concluding sentence, no instructions for further care, and no discussion about the broken bone! In fact I have never had an interaction with a more rude and arrogant Dr before. I registered a complaint and grievance with the health insurance as no one should have to endure that kind of interaction. All of this is shocking but none the less accurate and true. Also to note, that a nurse came in to talk to the radiologist to ask if a lady down the hall in another room was done, as the Dr had walked out on her - and she also did not know the consultation had concluded. The front office staff are always in a bad mood when I come here. They have some questionable procedures as well. When I got there, they insisted I call my insurance company to find out if my son's orthotics would be covered by my insurance. I told them we'd pay ourselves if insurance didn't cover it. They wouldn't accept that, and insisted I call my insurance right then to find out one way or the other. I guess before you even get seen by the doctor, they think they need to know this. So I called the insurance, but even the insurance people needed a diagnosis code before they could say if the orthotics would be covered. And we hadn't even been seen by the doctor yet! We didn't have a diagnosis code. So while I was on the phone with insurance, the front office handed me a form with all this medical jargon and these insurance codes. Was I supposed to figure out all that while on the phone, and somehow know what my son's diagnosis would be and whether insurance would cover it? All before we even see the doctor? All the medical offices I normally deal with talk directly to the insurance companies themselves. They know the medical terminology and all the codes. I think at this office they are trying to put that work onto the patient. We gave up and left without ever seeing the doctor. We will go somewhere else. read more
