Massage 5/5 Ambiance 2/5 Parking 5/5 I was having some muscle cramping issues from the summer heat, and some medication I have to take. I would often go to the Tang Foot Spa at the beach, but since we moved to this side of town, I have been looking for something closer. Blue Sky seemed like it was close, but it also was very different. At first I was put off by it, but in the end I rather enjoyed it. Note, this may not be everyone's cup of tea, language can be a bit difficult and the body massage part requires you to be unclothed. But having said all that, I got a very good massage. First you start out in the standard two piece chairs and water is brought out so you can soak your feet. While you are soaking, you get a scalp, neck and trap massage before moving on to your feet. Before she started on my feet, she did a very thorough washing of my feet, including between my toes, which was a first for me. Then she started on my feet, asking me several times if I wanted more or less pressure. The language barrier came in when I went to remind her I have an achilles injury and of course she forgot, but once she saw me jump out of my chair with a light touch to my achilles, she remembered, apologized and steered clear of that area. Now, after the feet you normally turn over on the chair and you get a back, arm and back of your leg massage, but at Blue Sky you move to another room, disrobe and your massage continues. My therapist, Mairy, was tiny, and I am not, but she did not seem to mind. Probably the most shocking thing was when she took off her shoes and began to massage my back with her feet. When I tell you she moved her feet as well as her hands, in fact it was not until she massaged my hands that I was sure it was her feet. Through out the massage she used Swedish, reflexology, shiatsu and deep tissue sports massage but I really thought the "dancing feet" (okay, I made this term up) was the best. Again, this was a little out of my comfort zone, but I can say 5/5 I experienced relief from my cramping issues. Also, Mairy was very concerned that she did a good job and when I told yes, she came from behind the counter to give me a hug. I am sure I will return. read more

I was grabbing Elliano's coffee when I saw a massage sign across the street. Went in and spoke with the lady for prices and decided to walk out. It's in a strip mall and the place looked a little sketchy, not like places I've been to before. But, I just got back from vacation, ankles swollen and sciatic pain flared up. My friend said this place got great reviews so I decided to try. All I can tell you is that it was amazing and so much better than the fancy/franchise massage places. Wow! The couples massage here was so nice. What a treat. The hot stones were especially nice and I liked how toward the end they use steamed towels to clear off all the oil. I'm no expert at massages but my masseuse used several different techniques including shiatsu at the end and warm stones. We called in the afternoon and were able to walk in which was very nice. Went in for a foot massage one evening. The place was completely empty but they still left me with my feet soaking for almost 15 minutes. The therapist kept looking at the clock during my massage and applied barely any pressure. I basically paid someone to pet my feet for 45 minutes. My friend and I were forced to reschedule our massages by a different salon that I had prepaid services for, and were left disappointed. We called many massage centers and dealt with lots of rude owners...which wasn't a surprise given that it was around 6PM and they were fully booked and it was storming. We decided to give this place a try, so we called them and the lady was kind enough to let us come in. She was the only masseuse there, but said she could do both of our 1 hour full body massages after each other. Needless to say that we were really shocked at how calming, clean and professional the business and the masseuse were. She made us feel very welcome, and relaxed. She even let us in the couple's massage room which was very kind of her. The massage was amazing. She really worked on our knots, and were tentative to our needs. It was my friends first massage, and she really enjoyed it. We were surprised to know that there was a hot towel included!!! The masseuse respected our privacy when needed, and she even got cold waters for us. She also let us stay in for a bit since it was storming and we didn't have an umbrella.
