They don't do anything just look at you and give you a bunch of exercise exercises no real hands out in physical therapy

During the consultation I emphasized that pulling straight down on the affected leg is something that occupational therapists and PTs want to do but has always ended badly. I explained subjective and objective biomechanical reasons why this is incorrect for my situation. She listened, agreed not to do it, and promised to research my diagnosis. During the first session, she put a towel over my eyes and then proceeded to grab my foot and yank on the affected leg. Was she, miraculously, the only PT who could do this maneuver with enough force and therefore cure me? She watched me struggle to walk out of the office (it took me about 20 minutes to cross eight feet in front of her) without a word and promptly billed me. I was crippled for about 8 months. Unless you have a very basic problem that can be fixed by appearing aligned, I would avoid this unprofessional, unlearned, and straight dangerous practice. read more

I went to Blue Sky Physical therapy after a total knee replacement. I went through about 3 months or more of therapy, starting at twice a week. While other therapy places I contacted couldn't get me in for weeks or a month or more, Blue Sky was able to schedule me into someone else's cancellation very quickly. I was happy not to have to delay treatment. My therapist was Katherine Koch and she did a wonderful job. She knew where to start and how to progress, step after step. She was very supportive and encouraging. At first the home exercises she gave me where challenging but after practice became easier and then Katherine knew when it was time to move on to the next step in the progression. Obviously, alone I would have never known how to progress alone. I'm know back to hiking and golfing, although still building up my endurance. I'd highly recommend both Katherine and Blue Sky. read more

This is not review of the physical therapist herself (Jodi was professional and courteous during every visit), but of Blue Sky's management/ownership. I went to Blue Sky for physical therapy, starting in March of this year. At my first visit, I showed my insurance card and was told my copay will be $15. Almost two months after my first visit, I get a bill that states I should've paid a $30 copay and I now owe $120. I called Blue Sky to find out what's going on and was basically told my insurance company screwed up by telling them my copay is $15 when they called the insurance. Turns out the insurance company tells me that nobody from Blue Sky ever spoke to a representative personally. Their phone sytem only showed that somebody just listened to an automated announcement, which clearly states what the copays are for primary care or specialists, but nobody ever spoke to a representative. Back to Blue Sky to settle the bill. The office manager tells me again that the insurance company screwed up, but this time I called her out on it, explaining what the insurance company told me about the automated announcement. The office manager then decides to change her story and tells me the automic announcement actually quoted physical therapy sessions at the $15 rate. I'm confused....didn't they just tell me they actually spoke to somebody from the insurance company personally? Even more confusing is that the insurance company's announcement only quotes primary care or specialist....doesn't even mention physical therapy. After all this, I just can't take the b.s. anymore and ask her flat-out, "so did somebody here drop the ball and maybe not listen to the automated announcement thoroughly?" Finally, the office manager replies that maybe somebody didn't hear it correctly. Thanks, why not just say that in the first place and save me the run-around. Bottom line is....don't lie to your patients and try to place blame on somebody else if you screw up. Not exactly an honest way of doing business, in my humble opinion. Just have the decency to admit somebody in your office simply made a mistake and let's move on. The best part....one of the Blue Sky owners was standing there the whole time and listened to my conversation with the office manager. But she conveniently decided to introduce herself AFTER I paid the bill and I'm about to walk out the door, just to reiterate that "insurance is complicated." Blue Sky was recommended to me by a coworker and I am so glad I went! I had a humerus fracture and repair that left me unable to move my arm after surgery. Blue Sky got me back to full range of motion! I have worked with multiple PT's over my 6 month time there and they are all fantastic. Their hours are very convenient, so I can go before or after work. Plus, they have a parking deck so you don't have to search for street parking. This place is run by three ladies that are extremely nice. What I LOVE about this place is there are no assistants. Each PT session is one-on-one with an actual PT. Not an assistant following a PT's orders and telling you what exercises to do. They also have four pilates machines (they offer pilates classes as well) and PT patients get to use them in their rehab. They also have an on-site Massage Therapist. Pretty great place! read more

Simply put. I've gone to three different physical therapists in the Denver area in the last three years and Blue Sky is BY FAR the best group of physical therapists that i have experienced. Jenn and Jodi are awesome! Jodi has worked with me on treatment and has a great attitude when it comes to my inability to do a lunge correctly. Jenn works with me on pilates and also has patience when I can't do ANY of the movements correctly. Even with my inability to follow simple instructions, Blue Sky has nursed me back to health in a couple months with excellent, individualized, professional care. This is a great place to go for your pt or pilates needs. super friendly front office staff, and awesome therapists. hillary helped me fix my busted up leg in such a short period of time, it was quite a relief. the office is up some stairs, and parking can be kind of wierd, but it is worth the effort. read more

The therapist who worked with me, Natalie, was professional detailed and focused on my improvement. She was thorough, energetic and personable. I know alignments differ, but therapist could not provide any back pain relief in approximately eight visits. Changed Therapist to University of Colorado and therapist provided relief in three and had properly diagnosed (and clearly communicated problem) in one visit. This is not a review about CU. Rather, BlueSky lacked the expertise and equipment to properly diagnose and provide relief for "my" pain. BlueSky seemed continually perplexed about my problem and pain. Not all PT is the same. If you're not comfortable with your PT or progress, go somewhere else. read more

This was my second time working with Blue Sky PT and I thought nothing could top my first experience, but I was wrong. My therapist, Katherine Koch, and intern Michah Boriack were amazing. Not only did they address and resolve my immediate issue of hip pain, but they were such warm and enthusiastic cheerleaders that I've become even more motivated to get stronger and more active. Katherine is extremely knowledgeable and carefully evaluated every exercise she introduced, very often modifying it to fit my particular issues and ability. I had spinal fusion surgery two years ago and have been nervous about my back, but I felt completely safe with Katherine. It's very reassuring to work with someone who is an expert and gives you her full attention. Michah has also been wonderful--you'd never know she's an intern because of her depth of knowledge and ability to connect warmly. Bottom line, Blue Sky is by far the best PT practice I've ever been to (and I've been to quite a few over my 72 years). read more

Who has a knotty neck and three herniated discs in their lower back? Me! Who was hit by a Honda? Me! Who called upon Blue Sky for their physical therapy needs? Me! Who would recommend them to fellow pain sufferers? Me! I saw Karen on a weekly basis for a couple months this past winter and spring for therapy on my lower back. She was great - attentive, understanding and communicative with my doctor, which I really appreciated. I know they're busy, so I recommend scheduling a block of your appointments in advance, but I never had an issue being seen and the front desk is helpful by calling to remind you of your appointment a day in advance. If you're in pain, give them a try. I know I don't regret it. read more

Jenn at Blue Sky is great! She really helped with my recovery and gives individualized attention. Bonus: I got to learn some basic pilates on the reformer as part of therapy! Absolutely suggest this place if you need to recover - they listen and suggest alternatives, even if it means you have to go to a different place to get treatment. They are wonderful here! read more

My family physician referred me to Karen at Blue Sky for help with a back problem that was diagnosed as moderate arthritis in the L5 vertebra. With 6 weeks of PT (core strengthening and stretches), Karen provided me a great deal of relief. I eventually needed an epidural, and am continuing the routine she outlined. Karen is extremely knowledgeable, professional and dedicated. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing PT and would not hesitate to go back if I had further problems. read more

Blue Sky offers Pilates classes taught by physical therapists. They are always watching and listening to their students in order to recommend corrections or possible modifications in an exercise. The clientele is very diverse (men and women, young and more mature). Humor is always present during class which makes for a very comfortable, non pretentious place to get stronger!! read more

I went here 4-5 times because of lower back pain, and 2 therapists gave me treatments, not very satisfied with them, no relief of back pain (even got worse after what they've done on me) . they also run between patients :( anyway, I just feel they don't care about pain at all read more

I took my son to blue sky for an evaluation as I believed physical therapy would help with particular physical challenges he faces. Upon receiving the evaluation it seemed off the mark, so I took the evaluation to another PT in the community - this one highly recommended by others - and was told that the evaluation was so poorly done it wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. This led me to research the academic credentials of some of the staff and they should have saved the paper there too. Please do your own research and form your own opinions but from my experience and the feedback I have received, this is a poorly run company created by a group of under qualified therapists. As a parent we all want the best for our children; as a parent with some medical training and experience, I was very dismayed by the lack of training and knowledge of key staff. Every case is different so I can't speak across the board, but from my experience if your child is developmentally challenged you won't find the best resources here by a long shot. read more
